This ad from Nolan’s Cheddar isn’t going to be on during the Superbowl, but it’s definitely a Supe-worthy ad in my book. You gotta watch the whole thing. No, it’s not an ad for PETA. Thanks to friend and reader Mary for the tip. (Isn’t it odd that they used two dead-before-their-time ’70s singers for this? Coincidence?)

Very funny but the image of a mouse in trap turns me off cheese, not to go out and buy some. Last time I caught a mouse in a snap trap the bar slammed right between the mouse’s eyes and squashed the skull. Not very appetizing.

I doubt it could ever be used for the Superbowl (might scare the kiddies), but my, that’s quite a magnificent commercial.

Crazy as this sounds I was about to hurl upon seeing the dead mouse in the trap. But as soon as that mouse was pumping the iron of the trap to the opening part of “Eye of the Tiger”…LMGDAO! F-ING GENIUS!

That’s it? Just “pumping” the trap..no escape or eating the hunk of cheese beside him?

Maybe it was implied, but it felt unfinished and boring.

As for Karen Carpenter…didn’t she die because she ate like a mouse???
