Three Cheers for Tim Tebow (& CBS): Heisman Winner Who Wasn’t Aborted

By Debbie Schlussel

If Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow’s mother, Pam Tebow,  got an abortion in 1987–as doctors recommended–he wouldn’t be here today. He heads for the NFL draft later this year. That’s the subject matter of an ad Tebow (a Florida Gator grid-iron phenom) and the conservative group, Focus on the Family, created to air on CBS during the upcoming Superbowl match-up between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints.

Tim Tebow & Mom, Stars of Supe Ad

Feminists and the NOW hags are up in arms about it and want CBS to censor it. Kudos to the network that, so far, it hasn’t buckled. On the other hand, this is the first year in which Superbowl ad prices have fallen, and the network, frankly, can’t afford to turn it down. Times are tough.

“View” idiot Joy Behar (wait, they’re all idiots on that show, including the faux-conservative) said about Tebow, “He could just as easily become some kind of a rapist pedophile.” You stay classy, Joy (and you stay stupid, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who per usual had zero intelligent response). I’d personally rather see the Tebow Family’s inspiring ad than more silly Go Daddy blow-up doll ads. Unfortunately, we’re in for more o’ those, this year, too. Here’s Tim Tebow defending the ad:

More:

Paid for by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family, the ad tells the story of Bob and Pam Tebow, who was pregnant with their fifth child when the couple travelled to the Philippines on a missionary trip.

While there, Pam contracted amoebic dysentery and the medicines used for her recovery threatened her unborn fetus. Doctors advised her to abort the fetus. Pam ignored their advice and gave birth on Aug. 14, 1987, to a baby boy. That boy was Tim Tebow.

Love him and his mother for choosing life! He is a great role model for males. There are too many men, especially in sports who do not have the dignity and convictions Tebow has. He is a miracle and a gift to the sports world and prolife movement.

Anyone who condemns the ad and says it should be banned is ignorant if they do not believe in family and choosing life over abortion. Those who say it takes away from women’s rights are insane…what’s wrong with choosing life and celebrating family?? I saw the women from Women’s rights group on Fox earlier tonight and she was very irritating and annoying to listen to. If CBS wants to change their policies and run an advocacy ad let them…it’s paid for. Are they that afraid people will think twice about getting an abortion??

How does hag Joy Bahar make the leap that Tebow will become a pedophile? I love her type, allow free speech for anyone that shares her view, but deny and vilify anyone that does not. Like him as a player or not, I admire anyone willing to stand up for their beliefs. He hs done it in a repsectful way, unlike Joy Blowhard.

What a wonderful young man who has done nothing but make his parents proud. The View females have no right voicing the name of such a classy individual. He may make a great tight-end in the NFL, but he will stand as an example we all would want our own children to follow.

Finally an athlete that stands for something. Nice job mom and Tim! Class act!
How does a spineless, useless, empty headed fat cow like
joy bewhore even have a job let alone be allowed to spue that garbage on tv along with that other useless fat cow rosie, what a waste of good air. Disgusting.

ARE POSITIVE ROLE MODELS FOR OUR CONFUSED YOUTH!

I FOR ONE, AM THRILLED THAT THEIR COMMERCIAL WILL AIR ON
CBS AND I WILL BE WATCHING CBS FOR MORE POSITIVE ADS INSTEAD OF THE MINDLESS JUNK THAT BARAGE US DAILY!
THANKS

You know maybe Joy is un”JOY”ful because the nasty ass hag probably hasn’t been laid in years. She sees a young handsome Christian guy and she launches into pedophilia. It sucks that hags like un”JOY”ful will take it out on younger people because they see the life they never accomplished. Instead of giving advice to younger people so they can learn and have an easier life, this hag is spiteful and bitter. Memo to Joy, get Laid. Menopause must suck, huh un”JOY”ful?

Also this is the worst thing for liberal women. When most effeminate young men from Hollywood are telling young girls it is their “choice” to have an abortion this real man is saying he will do what is right and they should do what is right. Most girls want to do what is right, naturally, but social pressure makes them live a raunchy lifestyle. Most young girls will follow a guy that is living a righteous lifestyle. Liberals know this, so liberals hate it. Women are sold insecurity by advertisers and that is why they make bad choices. Hell, read a Cosmo and everything feeds off women’s insecurities.

As I said before it isn’t the View it she be called the Land of The Lost. They are most lost vapid souls on that show. They have no idea what they are mumbling and some people ACTUALLY, NO SERIOUSLY, think they have a point to make.

I can see it now, “In another episode of the View…err Land Of the Lost the Panel confronts its guests….”

Right on Tim Tebow. Hope he makes it in the NFL and the hags will complain throughout his career.

One last thing, So un”JOY”ful what were you going to name your baby before you murdered it? I’d bet money this lady had an abortion or two.

I don’t understand why feminists would even care. None of them watch the Super Bowl…

Christopher Hayes on January 27, 2010 at 10:12 am

The feminists don’t want women thinking of other possibilities and some might watch the Super Bowl to check out the cheerleaders.

    bobby99 on January 27, 2010 at 2:55 pm

..why is it that libtards feel they are soooooo morally superior to others??…oh yes…I almost forgot…it’s their “tolerance” …once again on display here.

Catfur on January 27, 2010 at 10:22 am

These “women’s groups” are an arm of the DNC. They speak only for radicals who hate children. In Queens a woman just died from a legal abortion. Do you think that NARAL et al. will ask the Board of Health to shut this place down? They do not care about other women. They were allowed to hijack “feminism.” I am sure that this will be a great ad. I commend Tebow and his mom. I am glad that they chose life. For the abortionists that is NEVER the option.

Julian on January 27, 2010 at 10:45 am

God bless Tim Tebow and mother. May he be granted a bright future on and off the field.

Why does anyone pay attention to what Joy Behar and the rest of the bimbos on The View say? That show is The Jerry Springer Show with breasts. It’s a bunch of women, and men, just running off at the mouth. That said, what if Elizabeth Hasselbeck, or some othet conservative talker, had said that about Obama, who was also a candidate for abortion? She/they would have faced the same media scorn that Don Imus and Rush Limbaugh did earlier.

Tim Tebow is a class act,and a good role model. His Mother is quite a lady, a great story. With millions of viewers watching on Super Sunday it may give some of these confused, young folks food for thought. Tims draft stock projection may have dropped to maybe the third round (the scouts say his QB mechanics are flawed for the NFL,and may be better suited as a tight end or fullback) but wherever he plays he will be a huge asset to any team that selects him. I wish him good Luck.

Niner on January 27, 2010 at 12:29 pm

The more I think about this the angry I become. If I were anywhere near those hags on the libfest my response would have been; You know Joy you’re absolutey right, if only your mother had flushed you down the toilet the world today would be a much better place.

perception of truth on January 27, 2010 at 1:57 pm

The story of Tim Tebow is AMAZING. I hope CBS does not give in to the eugenicists called the feminist movement.

Bob Porrazzo on January 27, 2010 at 6:07 pm

3 cheers for Tebow and his family.

The hysteria of the feminazis reminds me of the hatred gushed when Rush Limbaugh explored buying interest in an NFL team.

Leftists become hysterical when symbols of conservative ideas arise in a high profile manner. They are obsessed with censoring those with other ideas. Tebow and Rush are such symbols.

Ask anyone who’s pro-choice why they think abortion should be legal and their first line of defense is “what about victims of rape who become preagnent. Would you force that woman to bear an unwanted child?” If they really care about rape victims why don’t they put in half (heck, even a tenth) of their effort into fighting for victims of sexual abuse? But typical of libs, they’re more worried about the rights of the criminal and not the victim unless you happen to be a few “rich white college guys” falsely charged with raping a black stripper/hooker, than it’s a different story. Pro-choice feminists are pro-abortion…period, and don’t want women to make their own choices. They care for real women’s rights about as much as the Taliban. Hats off to Pam Tebow for putting her yet to be born child in God’s hands, and ahead of any of her own selfish interests. A true mother indeed. God bless them both.

theShadow on January 27, 2010 at 7:01 pm

It makes you wonder what the ones lost to abortion would have accomplished…

goldenmike4393 on January 27, 2010 at 7:15 pm

Good for them…standing up for the right thing! It is sad that this ad is considered “controversial” by many news sources. What is so controversial about being pro life? I think that women who use abortions as birth control are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves.

Angela04 on January 27, 2010 at 10:04 pm

THE AD will be suppressed. Do you know the trauma airing this ad will introduce to the hundreds of thousands of wastrels who aborted perfectly good children?

All those acts of manslaughter, if not murder.

And the aborting women looking at Tim, so vibrant, masculine, and full of life, with the world now at his feet… and they are left remembering their cowardly act of destroying a life that might have turned out just like this!

One again, great call Debbie, to bring this story to us!! Excellent work by Focus on the Family!

We’ll never see the ad in the Superbowl, though…

The Canadien on January 27, 2010 at 10:11 pm

Well, for those who are concerned about rape victims, I like the idea of telling the libs to tighten up rape LAWS.

Here’s an idea:

First conviction, castration and depoprovera.
Second conviction, cut off air supply.
Eliminates third offenses.

SLOHomemaker on January 28, 2010 at 12:15 am

If someone doesen’t want to watch the Ad they can Turn it off or Walk away or maybe they are just to STUPID and rather complain.

Patrick Mullen on January 28, 2010 at 9:04 am

Big respect to mother and son – thanks for sharing this!
