Support Israel by Buying “Moroccan Oil” (Great for Your Hair & Skin)

By Debbie Schlussel

After I exposed Chi/BioSilk/Sunglitz owner Farouk Shami for what he is–a pro-PLO extremist Muslim hater of Israel (including here and here)–a number of readers told me they are bummed because they will have to throw out their Chi or CHI products and asked me what they should use on their hair.  First of all, don’t throw it out.  Use it up.  You already forked over the cash.  Second, there are a gazillion hair products far better than Chi or anything Shami and his Farouk Systems produce.  And third, I’m no Jose Eber or Rita Hazan, so why are you asking me for hair product advice?  Not my thing.  But now, there is a hair product I’d like to recommend to readers.  Plus it’s a skin conditioner, too.

moroccanoil

Over the last several months, I’ve been reading about the latest chic hair treatment product, Moroccan Oil, used by many big-name female celebrities with long, beautiful tresses.  I wanted to try it, but given it’s name, I didn’t want to fund some Islamic Moroccan Israel-haters and terrorism supporters.  Lo and behold, looking at a bottle, I discovered that Moroccan Oil is made in  . . . Israel, by Israeli Jews (sometimes “Israeli” products are made by Arab Muslims who identify as Palestinians, so you gotta be careful with the “Made in Israel” label).  It even features a tiny Aramaic abbreviation, “BS’D,” which stands for “With the Help of Heaven” on it, which religious Jews traditionally put on anything they write or publish.

Morrocan Oil makes a number of products, but the best one, which I recommend for women (and even men, though I am usually against these kinds of products for men), is the “The Original Moroccan Oil Oil Treatment.”  A few drops of this oil on your hair when it is wet, and before you are about to blow dry or let it dry naturally, does wonders.  It makes hair noticeably softer and shiny and definitely gets rid of frizz and bad hair days.  It’s made from argan oil, rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids and great as a fast absorbed moisturizer.  It’s the best hair product I’ve ever tried . . . and I feel like I’ve “tried them all.”

I bought a bottle at Tricho Salon & Spa in Novi, Michigan (owned by my friend, Jewish conservative Republican and radio talk show host Michael Stein).  It’s a little pricey, but one bottle will last you forever.  You only use a few drops at a time.

Gee, I hope I didn’t ruin Moroccan Oil’s run with lefty celebs, now that I’ve let the world know it’s one of the many great Israeli products.

I’ve beet using the shampoo and the oil for couple of months now, Its just wonderful. Make my Jair look so healthy and shiny. Love it.

I think it is illegal to steal a geographical name like “Moroccan” and use it in a brand name.
You can not claim then name “Moroccan” as a company. They will get trouble with it in the future. Because you also can not register a brand like “American oil”. Especially not when it is not even made in Morocco. So the best thing they can do is look for a new name asap.

Khalid Amsrani on September 14, 2013 at 9:33 am

Debbie, while you’re touting the virtues of Morrocan Oil, in the UK a little 13 year Muslim psychopath named Balal Khan brutally raped a 20 year old woman – and bragged about the deed to her boyfriend from who he received a phone call on a cell phone and purse he stole from his victim. He received just three years in prison for the crime. Jihad truly pays. Raping infidel women in the UK doesn’t cost you a lot if you’re a Muslim savage. That’s what we have to put up with here in the West.

NormanF on January 27, 2010 at 12:19 am

Debbie, drew299 raises a good point. Can a man use this product and not be a girlie man? Is this a ladies only post?

BB on January 27, 2010 at 10:41 am

I’m certainly not a girlie man but I just bought some. I don’t wear any cologne and use unscented anti-perspirant.
The fact that I can help an Israeli company and soften up my greying stiff full head of hair is a double ++.
And what about the Mufti of Palestine having a copy of the plans for Auschwitz hidden in the wall of his apartment and the Muslims helped Hitler develop the final solution. I am so angry the filthy Muslims haven’t been called on this and made to pay for their part in this. The theme “never again” only works if you punish all parties to the most horrible crime ever committed.

JohnA on January 27, 2010 at 3:55 pm

My hairdresser in Michigan has been promoting this for the past year. She was, however, unaware that it’s produced in Israel — not Morocco — until I pointed it out.

Judy on January 27, 2010 at 8:26 pm

I just randomly came across your website doing a search for argan oil, and I believe you are absolutely insane.

First off, Morocco saved hundreds of thousands of Jews from getting massacred by Christian countries. If anybody with any intelligence looks at history, they will see that Jews fared much better under Muslim rule, as opposed to Christian rule.

Please let me know one Christian country that did not persecute, and eventually kick the Jewish people out.

Also, the fact that you would not buy a product due to somebody being Arab, is absolutely crazy.

My mother is from Morocco, and her best friend was a Moroccan Jew. We always called her our aunt, and if I’m not mistaken, a significant majority of the Israeli population is descended from Jews that were saved by Morocco.

Usually, I wouldn’t waste my time responding to people like you, but you need to seek some serious psychiatric counseling.

I don’t see much difference between you, and the “Islamic” extremists you seem to loathe and despise.

Best of Luck,

Jimmy Moore

JM: So far, the U.S.–a Christian country–hasn’t kicked the Jews out. Your family is to be commended for its tolerance of Jews, which is not typical of the Islamic world. While, in fact, Morocco was better to the Jews than other Muslim countries, particularly in North Africa, they were better to the Jews only relative to the treatment Jews got in other Muslim countries, becaus the King of Morocco likes Jews. You cannot say the same for many of his citizens. Sadly Morocco has become more and more extreme, like the rest of the Islamic world. Anyone who calls me insane for not wanting to fund that, should direct that name at his mirror. DS

James Moore on January 27, 2010 at 10:36 pm

    Hi Debbie,

What facts do you base your assumption on, that Morocco is becoming more extreme? Every corner of Morocco has bars and night clubs, and you see women wearing skirts and clothing, that would be scorned in countries such as Saudia Arabia.

The fact that most Muslims are becoming more westernized, is what is causing alarm with the extremists. There is a small minority of Muslims that give Muslims a bad rap. The same goes with any ethnic group.

The arguement that you are using on banning goods from countries of Arab origin, is the same argument some Arabs use on banning goods from Jewish-owned companies. I seriously doubt that a even a small percentage of Arab-owned businesses, support these extremists.

You seem to be a person full of energy and passion. It would be good if you directed that passion towards making positive changes in the world, as opposed to spreading hate.

    Best,

    Jimmy

James Moore on January 27, 2010 at 11:08 pm

1/3 of the world is muslim…if all muslims would have been terrorits you probably wudnt be alive right now.

aqsa azam on July 9, 2014 at 8:31 pm

“Every corner of Morocco has bars and night clubs, and you see women wearing skirts and clothing, that would be scorned in countries such as Saudia Arabia. The fact that most Muslims are becoming more westernized, is what is causing alarm with the extremists.”
James Moore on January 27, 2010 at 11:08 pm

Yes, that is true, but what you call extremists are your general Muslim population. You said yourself “you see women wearing skirts and clothing, that would be scorned in countries such as Saudia Arabia” – OK then, doesn’t that make the population of Saudia Arabia just a bunch of extremists?
These so called extremists are just following the Koran, are they not? And if they are and you’re not, than doesn’t it make you the extremist in their eyes? Muslims will become more
“westernized” only when they stop being true muslims and that’s not about to happen real soon, is it?

I luv these hair products! They are fabulous! Thank you Israel
for making such wonderful hair products! They’re the best!!!

i msell the arouk stuff, but cheaper at costco , as they sell it there cheaper than i buy……….yes there are just as good oils…………..Aquage owned by jewish family the millers, who originally founded Matrix. this is made in USA and better than anyother, also cheaper by the ounce.

The millers have over the years given, to Jewish chariries, many millions over the years, for the benefit of JEWISH causes and Israel.

The owners of morocan oil can not say the same.

Shami started an olive oil buisness with KINKY FRIEMAN(yup same one TEXAS JEW BOY)and they said the profits would be given to israel and the west bank for PEACEful purposes…….find out to whom and what he gave.

proanythingnot farouk on January 28, 2010 at 8:04 pm

OMG! I just stambled on your site, and cannot believe all the ignorance, biggotty, hateness that you have to Islam and muslims. Do you realise that your writing is spitting fanatism, extremism and terrorism. In today’s world where information is freely and widely available, I advise you to do some research about your religion, your history and then move to the other religions. Your level of knowledge is below zero!! by the way you are welcome to join the thousands of jews that will be visiting Morocco for the Shavuot!

Adam on May 2, 2010 at 7:31 pm

I bought a bottle of this yesterday after a friend told me about it. I am so very very happy that I am helping Israel!! Thank you Israel for making such a wonderful product!

Patti on June 9, 2010 at 7:29 pm

wow! i cant believe how ignorant debbie is!! i know to tell everyone not to buy morrocan oil now…. thank u for that.. nobody wants to support a terrorist country .. definition: terrorist: israeli jews, who have made the world feel sorry for what has happened to them ( and we are sorry for what has happened to the jewish ppl) but for all you brainwashed americans who believe eveything u c on media., THEY ARE DOIN THE SAME EXACT THING TO THE ARAB PEOPLE THAT HAS HAPPENED TO THEM IN THE HOLOCAUST!!! AND U WONDER WHY THEY FIGHT BACK?? LOOK UP ZIONISM: ISRAEL IS A ZIONIST STATE!! do ur research and c that the palestinian ppl already had palestine before those morrons from poland , germany, and eveywhere else claims that israel is their land… be educated … without it theres ignorance , violence and war. 2 sides to each story… btw not all arabs are muslim!! there are many christians too!

Save your money and use pure virgin olive oil. WORKS GREAT!!! on your skin, nails and hair. Then you will have more money to give to a charity of your own choice.

carol on July 23, 2010 at 11:14 pm

What ignorance and hatred! Hair products may not be your forte, but history certainly is not. Youdon’t seem to be bothered by facts either. Twisting ans spinning doesn’t cut it these days.
By the way, the argan tree is native to Morocco – see: http://www.arganex.com/en/argan_oil_origin.htm – I find it disturbing that Moroccanoil avoids disclosing the location of its HQ on its website. People visiting believe that they are buying a Moroccan product. That’s deceipt. They have they copied/stolen the argan tree and the oil. Thanks for pointing out the lie by omission: Moroccanoil is Israeli after all.

I have heard about republican red-necks, the bigots of the old USA, who have nothing better to do but to vilify.
That to me white trash collaborates with jews or is jewish with European genetics obviously.
They’ve got bitches on heat with a foul mouth, either evangelical or jewish. Both very bad for the USA and its exploited citizens.
Amazing the slime, the shit that feels the need to expose itself on the internet.

ISRAEL on March 14, 2011 at 3:05 am

Hi

I am 21 and live in Australia.

My dad came over from Israel when he was 25. His mother was Moroccan and father Russian. He has a tattoo of the Star of David on his chest but he was not very religious at all. He was always confused about his religion. He told me that his parents had sold him to the Christians when he was a child and that his Aunty had bought him back 🙁

My mum is Australian and I am so proud of my heritage.

My hair on the other hand, isn’t like anybody I know. It is out of control and no-one knows how to help me!

So today I bought $120.00 worth or Moroccan Oil Products (Made in Israel), Moroccan Oil Shampoo, Moroccan Oil Restorative Mask, Moroccan Oil and Moroccan Oil Intense Curl Cream.

I also bought a de-chlorinator which is supposed to strip my hair of all the build up of chemicals from the years.

So tomorrow I start the process and hope to see results within 3 weeks.

This is my last resort so – Wish me luck!!

Oh and yeah, I bought the Moroccan Oil before I found out where it was made but I was pleasantly surprised to see it was made in Israel and I can’t wait to visit 🙂

Hello,
i hate that i have to respond to this but i will just the same. I am Saudi-Egyptian married to a Canadian and our kids are a big mix. Growing up we never hated any race, culture or religion, and i plan on raising our children the same way. But to associate hair products with negativity and hate right out the gate is not a smart way to promote anything really. i’m gonna go a little hippie on every one now but put some love in your hearts, and see others as human beings! i have an idea, why don’t you read the little book called “how the grinch got so grinchy” it may help. As for the product, i still want to read more about it cause this didn’t help me one bit. and please try to stop feeding the fire in the middle east (Palestine), i’m sure you would wish the same if it were happening in your own back yard.
peace and love
Rina.

Rina on May 18, 2011 at 12:14 pm

I live in Qatar and a girlfriend just ordered almost $100 worth of Moroccan hair products (we’re both big fans of the brand) — and the customs people here confiscated them because they said they were made in Israel.
Rather than letting her return the stuff to the company so she can get a refund (she was unaware where it was made and didn’t know it would be a problem coming into the country here), they’ll keep her package and she’s out both the product and her $100.
Nice.

Susan on June 14, 2011 at 6:23 am

I didn’t know where Morrocanoil was made.. but just noticed the Made in Israel bit… Anyway, I have had it sent to me in Riyadh, SAUDI ARABIA (Several Times).. and never had it confiscated… I am betting the person at the customs used it as an excuse.. and took it to his wife 😉

On another note.. the HATE in this post is beyond disgusting.. I always thought such ignorance was only found in my neck of the woods.. now I see its on the other side as well.. how can I ever hope for peace if the world is filled with such ignorant and hateful trolls?

Mohammed on February 2, 2012 at 7:07 am

Speak for yourself! I happen to be Moroccan and unlike you, I think it’s egregious to use another nation’s name with whom you have unresolved political issues (see UNGA resolution 242) to promote your own private driven profits. The Tals (mis-proprietors of morrocanoil)don’t care about your country’s promotion. Question: How’s Morocco being promoted if production, sales and profits are based somewhere else? If I follow your logic Switzerland would get a fair share for each Swiss cheese slice sold in Zimbabwe per se!!!I do doubt however after reading your brilliant comment and lofty language that you will get the point ya Medloul!

Driss on December 26, 2012 at 3:49 am

I’m still waiting for someone to answer me….Why call it a Moroccan oil and the oil is made in Israel! You misleading the consumers!

Iman Lines on February 5, 2012 at 9:13 am

    Hi Iman,

To respond to your question, the bottle says Moroccan oil because the product is from Morocco, their is only one tree in the whole world where you can get hold of the argan oil, and that’s Morocco, but the fact that it has been labeled “made in Israel” does not make it less Moroccan.
    Hope I answered you’re question.

aurora on September 13, 2012 at 6:39 pm

Hi,
I definitely look at labels. When I saw “made in Israel” I was incredibly disappointed. A p[roduct that says Moroccan, sadly is made in Israel the most racist country in the world. As I do not support Israeli products, I now boycott this completely and warn all my friends.

TO POTENTIAL BUYERS OF MOROCCAN OIL- CHECK LABEL, MAKE SURE IT IS NOT MADE IN ISRAEL!

kylie on October 13, 2012 at 5:19 am

Mani on November 28, 2012 at 10:53 am

Thanks for your blog. I was going to buy this for my sister for Christmas, and now I certainly will never buy this product. You have done a great service in telling us that this oil is made in the racist zionist state.

Kathy on December 6, 2012 at 4:17 pm

Respons to the shadow,

Becoming “real muslims” can you please explain, know one thing, it’s not because Morocco is an muslim country that the citizen are so, you got jews, muslims, christians and atheist, and yes they are all moroccans.

Ley on December 9, 2012 at 10:02 pm

Calm down, people. It’s just a hair product!

It’s called “Moroccan oil” not to mislead people, but because that’s the type of oil it is! It’s a special mixture made with argon oil.

Did you guys know that a lot of Moroccans are Jewish, many who immigrated to Israel? Moroccan Jews who brought their customs with them?

If you decide not to buy Moroccan oil because it will support a “racist-Zionist state”, then you need to re-educate yourself and realize that you’re being a bigot sucked into hate-filled propaganda.

And if you really don’t like it, then buy the Moroccan oil on the shelf made in Morocco…oh, wait…

Israel makes good quality Moroccan oil. Fact. Take it or leave!
