Warms My Heart: Americans (& Media) Finally Getting it on Obama; But Sad US Has to Sink This Far to “Get It”
Check out the video below from last night’s NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. It’s surprising that they didn’t spin it much. America is finally seeing the light on Barack Obama, his baloney healthcare, etc.

I’m very sad that America has to be in such horrible economic straits for Americans to get it that Obama ain’t the answer, that government cash giveaways don’t work, that socialist nationalized healthcare will be a failure and a boondoggle. But if that’s what it takes, so be it. Better late than never. These polls warm the cockles of my heart. Unfortunately, they won’t stop the far-left Congress and the man who signs the bills and is living it up at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. That’s the depressing part. As Americans, we can get through this bad time, if we elect leaders who take the right steps to move us out of this hole, rather than dig us deeper into. For at least the next year, we still have the wrong people. And for at least the next 3, we still have the wrong people at the top.
Sadly, there isn’t a good choice at the top to oppose him. An “Entertainment Tonight” subject and airhead, empty red skirtsuit from Alaska ain’t gonna be the one to do it. And if she is, we’ll have many, many dark years ahead of us in America.

Does anyone want to start a pool on how soon we have a sequel to Carter’s malaise speech (I am old enough to have seen it live.)?
On the other hand these poll numbers might make things worse. Normally a first term President does what he can to get a second term. I believe that is why Obama agreed to the troop increase in Afghanistan and also why he has not pushed hard for the far left version of health care “reform”. My fear is that if Obama believes all is lost anyway he will go back to his base and push hard for a far left agenda.
