As a proud woman of Scottish ancestry this pisses me off!! The kilt is the very identity of our family history. This just makes a mockery of a rich heritage.

Debbie, I hope you are referring to his choice of pink shirt and flip-flops!
The kilt he is sporting is made by Utilikilt, and is accepted attire as a casual kilt at Celtic events worldwide.
Utilikilts have even been worn in Iraq and Afghanistan by our fighting soldiers (and marines).
You are right, he has the freedom to wear whatever he wants, and should kiss the ground of the country that he walks on for that right; and thank those good men who died to protect that right………many of them wearing kilts.

I’ve always thought he was a weirdo.
Hollywood always does this sort of thing to get attention. It’s almost like they don’t have privacy/identity of themselves so they make one up.

I doubt the kilt has been worn by any Marines since it is not an authorized uniform. Apparently there is a Dark green Marine from Detroit that plays the bag-pipes and wheres a kilt in his spare time. And just to prod LocalLawman. SKIRT!
