Score 2 For Snoop, Jesse, Weird Al & the Race Pimps; O for America

By
Well, as you’ve probably heard by now, CBS Radio just fired Don Imus–in addition to his firing, yesterday, from MSNBC.
As I’ve written several times since this controversy erupted, I don’t like Imus one bit and never have. But his firing is a tragedy because it is a huge victory for the PC Thought Police Nazis. Hate to say it, but on that, Rosie O’Donnell and I are in agreement (for the first and, probably, last time).
This is also a huge victory for Al “White Interloper” Sharpton and Jesse “Hymietown” Jackson . . . and all of their ilk. It strengthens them. My friend, Braunstein Speaks, says it best:

Don Imus was fired-not by NBC or by CBS-but by Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. . . .

Mazel Tov, America. You Lost, They Won . . .

Who put these two clowns in charge? You did. Every time you said, “let it slide” you gave them aid. Every time you overlooked some stupid deed because, “what else can you expect?” you added to their power. Every guilt-driven liberal who feels that blacks cannot be held to the standards that all others live by gives Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton sustenance. . . .
It’s a lot easier to ring the forty-year-old liberal guilt bell. Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, the New York Times, and, of course, CBS, NBC, and ABC will all come running. Pavlov demonstrated this “classical conditioning” on dogs over 100 years ago.
Wake up. If you think it’s bad now, wait for the Muslims to hit critical mass in this country. I never met a liberal who could resist the siren call of Sharia law, or the honor of “dhimmitude.” . . . Wake up.

And it’s not just liberals at fault, here. It also includes a couple of prominent female conservatives who knee-jerkingly called for Imus’ ouster in unison with Sharp and Jack and the rest of the PC squadron. One of ’em, the clueless Elisabeth Hasselbeck, was cheering Sharpton on–completely clueless about even one basic transgression in Sharpton’s history of racism and anti-Semitism. Yup, that’s why she’s the “conservative” on ABC’s “The View.” She’s the gun-moll for America’s political gangsta scum, but she’s too dumb to notice. Kinda like J-Lo with Sean “Diddy” Combs at the shooting at the club.
And it’s also a huge victory for specimens like Snoop Dogg a/k/a Calvin Broadus, who uttered this gem in a “statement” (if you can call it that) released to MTV News:

Admittedly, Snoop and some of his peers have called women “b—-es” and “ho’s” in their lyrics, but as the Dogg put it Tuesday afternoon (April 10), there is no parallel to what Imus said.
“It’s a completely different scenario,” said Snoop, barking over the phone from a hotel room in L.A. “[Rappers] are not talking about no collegiate basketball girls who have made it to the next level in education and sports. We’re talking about ho’s that’s in the ‘hood that ain’t doing sh–, that’s trying to get a n—a for his money. These are two separate things. First of all, we ain’t no old-ass white men that sit up on MSNBC [which announced Wednesday it would drop its simulcast of Imus’ radio show] going hard on black girls. We are rappers that have these songs coming from our minds and our souls that are relevant to what we feel. I will not let them mutha—-as say we in the same league as him.”
Snoop did say, though, that the media needs to treat Imus as it treats some MCs (or football players, even).
“Kick him off the air forever,” he said. “Ban him like they did [Adam] ‘Pacman’ Jones. They kicked him out the [National Football] League for the whole season [for numerous violations of the NFL’s personal-conduct policy, including multiple arrests], but this punk gets to get on the air and call black women ‘nappy-headed ho’s.’ ”
At the time of this interview, Snoop’s arraignment on felony charges (possession of a firearm and sale or transportation of marijuana) was looming.

Wow, I had no idea that–in addition to being the Trash-Connoisseur-in-Chief–Snoop was the Master of “distinctions” without a difference. And, FYI, people died and were paralyzed, due to Pacman Jones’ actions, and he is a multiple-arrestee. Imus’ statements never resulted in violence to anyone or any arrests.
Yup. Score 2 firings for Snoop, Jesse, Al, and posse–with two conservative chicks taking their positions as the gun molls. A big fat zero for America.
The Race-Merchant Terrorists Have Won.

If it were just a pop culture spat, we could leave it at that.
But Sharpton has run for *president* (also US Senate (NY)), has shared the same debate stage with Dean, Kerry, Clark, Lieberman (!) etc. who at least have been elected to office; he’s addressed the DNConvention….
A month ago Jon Lovitz made fun of George Bush being a stupid Texan in his own routine. Should Bush demand Lovitz go the White House and apologize?

Jeremiah on April 12, 2007 at 6:42 pm

Imus got his nose brown for nothing. Sharpton listened to Imus’s apology and spit in his face. We need to do a better job of holding bigots like Sharpton to the standards he expects of others.

FreethinkerNY on April 12, 2007 at 6:50 pm

What about the guy who started all this – Sid Rosenburg – he’s the one who made the “ho” and “jigaboo” comments, and then Imus chimed in like the moron he is (except for the times he takes Bill Clinton to task- then I really like him).

Freedom of speach for me but not you!
Imus is a jerk but so are the Hip Hopers. If they can say those words then so can Imus.

CowboyJohnny Joe on April 12, 2007 at 7:11 pm

There’s a scene in “Lenny” (about Lenny Bruce) where he rattles off a bunch of racial words in front of a black guy in the audience — just to make the provocative point about how powerful, but also silly, the words are.

Jeremiah on April 12, 2007 at 7:22 pm

America wake up! Pleases stop kissing minority groups asses. Everybody should be held to the same standards with 0 exceptions. Rich, poor, middle class, white, black,Hispanic,Asian,Obese,Thin, whatever.
As a black person myself I really wish White Liberals would stop kissing black people’s ass. I’m tired of the whole “victimization” game. America have a spine for once.

the_don on April 12, 2007 at 7:24 pm

This has done nothing but set race relations back and maybe to the point of being permanently broken. Why do race whores like Sharpton and Jackson get the stage from the MSM in the first place? Many folks I know have had enough. Screw these black racist assholes !

AlturaCt on April 12, 2007 at 7:25 pm

The only people that needed an apology was the women’s basketball team of Rutgers U. Nappy head, whores? What was he looking at? The man obviously needs better eye-wear.
Both Sharpton and Jackson should be shot for treasonous crimes against American blacks but hey, we can’t even try Kerry or “Hanoi” Jane Fonda so that’s out the window and under the bridge.
As mentioned by Deborah, wait and see how heavily this weighs in against America when the real enemy comes out from the shadows.

warpmine on April 12, 2007 at 7:54 pm

Hey Debbie, Don’t forget to mention how Oprah jumped in on the act by having the Rutgers team on her show today. The insanity never stops!

OneIrishJew on April 12, 2007 at 9:04 pm

This has gone way overboard. Imus said something bad, but he didn’t deserve to be fired. An apology and a fine, but that’s pretty much it. Ironically he may have hurt himself more by groveling. If he had stood up to the critics, he may have encouraged more people to be by his side. Geesh, he was making fun of a basketball team. Whatever happened to a good old fashion ribbing against a sports team now again?
Maybe I’m wrong here, but this might help Clinton beat Obama in the Democratic primaries. I’m not going to elaborate on this point just yet… .

jaillibby on April 13, 2007 at 12:15 am

Another sad day in America. Debbie has it right on point; wait for the ensuing fallout when the Muslims take over. I’m no fan of Imus and I agree that what he said was overboard and uncalled for but getting fired over it was over the line. As stated by Debbie and others, why the hell don’t Jackson, Sharpton, Snoop Dog, and the rest of the Race pimps get held accountable for their actions? They’ve done more to undermine the integrity of this society than Marxism or Islam, not to mention they’ve set racial equality back about 50 years. Regardless of what ethnicity you are, either do or say something positive or shut the hell up and fade away. Funny thing is, with the case of Jackson and Sharpton, just where do they derive their income to live the lifestyles the rest of their “Bruthas” would like to get accustomed to? Why, off their own people of course! They feed off the weak, they’re a cancer to society and need to be dealt with accordingly!

i’m STILL elated over Brother Shabazz calling Malkin a “political prostitue” 🙂

EminemsRevenge on April 13, 2007 at 9:06 am

Imus, dear Imus, you are gone,
For all their insults, Jesse and Al still live on.
The media yet again has had the last laugh,
And We the People once more have gotten their shaft.
Who will replace you dear Imus? It is a pity.
Surely NBC will now opt for vapid diversity.
Once upon a midnight dreary,
There was a sailor who grew weary.
He had an anchor tattoo on each arm,
And a girlfriend named Olive no one dared harm.
And when he took all he could take,
He chomped down the spinach and the earth did shake.
It’s time for all the good folks to stand up tall,
And take back the country before any more bullshit can fall.

Happiness Pursuer on April 13, 2007 at 9:13 am

Don Imus wasn’t fired for being racist. He was fired because advertisers started dropping the show in droves. If the advertisers stayed, Imus also would have still been at work this morning.

Aren’t the Lady Vols the biggest losers? They won the big game and they must have thought that they really accomplished something. Now when they look at the trophy all they’ll remember is the whiny Scarlet Twits who were “scarred for life” by unkind words from an irrelevant third-rate hack. It took the Lady Vols 40 minutes to defeat The Whiny Twits, it only took Don Imus 3 words. The Lady Vols should just send the trophy back, it’s not worth keeping.
I guess athletics really doesn’t build character.

Debbie’s comments are spot on! People are so sick and tired of race hucksters like Sharp-ton and Jacko., and pin heads like Snoopy. For all my Black friends out there, THESE people are promoted as Black role models to AMERICA!! It’s funny, I never hear anyone from the Black community (outside this blog)speaking out about this. When we have so many true American role models (regardless of race) like Colin Powell, like the Tuskeegee Airmen, like Bill Cosby, like Condoleeza Rice…. need I go on? The Americans I just mentioned, I admire and respect greatly. I don’t care about the color of their skin. Any wonder why you don’t see these people with the likes of Reverends (where they get those titles anyway?) Sharpton and Jackson? These two race merchants and their ilk WANT to keep all Black people under their control by constantly looking for an issue, no matter how rediculous and make it their crusade. I find them to be a couple of totally embarrassing clowns.

FreeAmerican on April 13, 2007 at 9:51 am

There goes these 2 “reverends” intimidating us with the race card game in order to censor our speeches. It just sickens me to my stomach to see the mainstream media kneel towards them as if they are demi-gods. Why is everyone afraid of them? Maybe its about time we do the intimidating around here. As much as I detested Imus’s remarks, I don’t think he deserves to be fired and by his liberal producers yet. The statements Sharpton and Jackson made before could of warrent their arrest and prison time for inciting violence and yet there was no outcry from the media. Why is Imus being held accountable for his remarks that never hurt anyone while reverends Jackass and Sharptongue continue to exude their racism against white people and black conservatives in public? As far as I’m concerned, they are triggering the racism by prostituding with it. How did we allow these people to access so much power over the mainstream media and why are we allowing them to subvert our freedom of speech, a freedom we hold dear and value, a freedom thats unheard of in other regimes outside America? How do we stop these vociferating p.c. nazis from censoring us?

Jew Chick on April 13, 2007 at 9:51 am

Oh, I forgot to mention…. when are the these two clowns going to apologize for all the emotional and physical damage they have promoted in the past, including at the very least, an apology to the Duke lacrosse players? Hey everyone, how come Finnerty, Seligman, and Evans aren’t on Oprah? How come the networks aren’t clamoring for an apology to them? This double standard crap makes me so sick. Do unto others….

FreeAmerican on April 13, 2007 at 9:54 am

A couple of postings have come close to discussing the real problem – any “controversial” discussion of Islam will one day be as allowable as using the word “nigger”.
For example, an Alberta-based magazine called the Western Standard had the balls to publish the Danish cartoons because they were news. Then a local Muslim group filed charges against them to the Alberta Human Rights Commission claiming defamation…blah..blah..blah.
I think they know there’s no chance of winning the suit, but that’s not what they’re really after. They want the wording of the final decision to state that the magazine is innocent because they merely reprinted the cartoons in support of their news story about them, and didn’t author the cartoons. Such wording would, de facto, make criticizing Islam or Mohamed illegal. That’s their real goal, and I’m afraid they’ll succeed. If not now, they’ll keep doing it until they do succeed, and full dhimmitued will be upon us.

Anyone remember this guy?
a man is great not
because he hasn’t failed
but because his failure hasn’t
stopped him.

I just found out I was wrong about Sid Rosenberg. I read the transcript, and it was Imus’ sidekick who first made the ho and jigaboo comments. I apologize for being part of the frenzy without checking out the actual transcript.
I still think that this hyper-Media slapdown is to take out those who are critical of the Clintons, of which Imus sure qualifies.
