Debbie Schlussel: OUTRAGE: ICE Princess Announces Plans to Release THOUSANDS of Illegal Alien Criminals Into Abyss
It's T-Minus about a year for The ICE Princess, Julie L. Myers, the incompetent chieftess of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Sadly, the year cannot go by fast enough, and she's trying to see how much damage she can wreak upon our nation for decades to come.
The latest is Myers' claim she's now going to deport more illegal aliens more quickly. But it's a lie. Read the small print. The real plan is the exact opposite--it's to release multiple illegal alien criminals early from jail and allow them to disappear. Hardened criminals fresh from jail will be allowed to sign an agreement promising to self-deport. You really think they're going to do as they promised? I have some land in the Mojave desert to sell you. It's nothing more than an agreement to disappear:
Ms. Myers said the agency would work with states to devise parole programs allowing immigrants imprisoned for nonviolent crimes to reduce their prison time if they agreed to be deported immediately upon release.
The states simply can't handle keeping tabs on all of them--that's ICE's job--and there won't be buses and agents waiting for every last one of the 164,000 currently estimated illegal aliens behind bars, not even a minute fraction of them. ICE Director of Detention and Removal Operations, John Torres, is too busy partying with Tommy Lasorda and giving cushy jobs to extramarital girlfriends to work that hard.
Yup, as usual, The ICE Princess is up to her old tricks, cross-dressing the plan and telling the New York Times that she will be deporting aliens more quickly in the next year. Yeah, that's about as believable as her phony claim that "catch and release" of illegal aliens has ended. Uh-huh. more like, they will be quickly "deported" from jail into the Great American Abyss.
There's so much smoke and mirrors coming out of ICE Headquarters, anyone paying attention feels like Snow White with lung cancer.
When one of these criminals--released early from jail--per The ICE Princess' request, rapes and kills someone, who will take the blame? She'll be long gone from ICE and onto her next government welfare job for lawyers.
What's going on here is that Myers is padding her numbers for some future Bush judicial nomination or a job in some defeated-at-the-November-polls Republican Presidential candidate's administration. She'll be able to say, "I deported x thousands of criminal illegal aliens," when most of those people will still be here and will have disappeared into the great abyss for more crime, job-stealing, wage-reducing, and government benefits abusing.
These aren't the average people working farms in California or lowering wages at meat plants in Nebraska. They're far more dangerous and the real national security threat facing ICE in terms of immigration. So sad, it's being treated like a permission slip for a field trip.
