SCHMUCK! “Sully” Plane Survivor Brags “Now I Help Illegal Aliens Infiltrate America!”
“Sully,” the movie about Chesley Sullenberger’s miraculous landing in the Hudson River (read my review), is still number one at the box office. All 155 passengers survived the 2009 flight. But maybe we’d be better off if one of ’em did not.
The September 19th issue of People mag features an article, “After the Miracle.” In it the article has a small sidebar entitled “How Passengers Changed Their Lives.” Two passengers got married and started a family, and one passenger (stupidly) named his kid, “Hudson.” But the worst of them is Ric Elias, who brags that he founded a non-profit/charity that helps illegal alien youth, er . . . “undocumented youth” as he puts it. Elias, the wealthy Harvard Business Grad and co-founder/CEO of Red Ventures, should be behind bars, not hailed on the pages of People.
It used to be–when America had guts, principle, and a will to survive in the long term–that then-INS agents (now ICE) would invoke the Immigration and Nationality Act and prosecute people like this for harboring, aiding, and abetting illegal aliens in our midst. And such people like this schmuck would operate sub rosa and away from scrutiny, afraid they’d be caught. Or they’d even, uh, NOT do this crap and bleep America over. But now that there is no scrutiny and we’ve pretty much given up on enforcing any borders or immigration laws, schmucks like Ric Elias feel safe and empowered enough to brag to anyone who will listen that they are helping illegal aliens infiltrate our country.
This isn’t just because of Obama. It’s also because of Bush. And it’s primarily because of a bunch of liars, frauds, and crooks on both sides of the aisle in Congress who will do nothing to force our government to enforce immigration laws. Oh, and by the way, you are subsidizing–through his “charity’s” non-profit status–Elias’ enabling of illegal aliens in our midst.
Bleep you, Ric Elias. Sadly, you have a lot of partners in Congress and the media making life easy for you to sell out our country from within.
By the way, while Ric Elias was born and raised in Puerto Rico, Elias is almost always an Arabic (Catholic Arabic) surname (though there are some Jews with that surname). Either way, we need fewer Ric Eliases.
The “Miracle on the Hudson” wasn’t such a miracle after all. While good people lived, so did Ric Elias. He used the excuse of facing death to screw America.

One last thing: I’ll bet if you or I approached Captain Sully, the pilot, and asked him what he thinks about the activities of this Elias cretin, Sully wouldn’t say anything. Or, worse, he might even praise this ahole. That’s the stage at which we are now in America. It’s bad business to denounce those who work against us from within.
Traitors are hip. Just ask Colin Kaeperdick.

DS, how does Elias’ “Red Ventures” qualify as a tax-exempt Section 501(c)(3)? It sure isn’t involved in anything religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, or preventing cruelty to children or animals?
Perhaps it claims to be “charitable.” But how does aiding and abetting illegal immigrants qualify as a charitable, as the IRS defines that term?
According to the IRS:
The exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3) are charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, and preventing cruelty to children or animals. The term charitable is used in its generally accepted legal sense and includes relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged; advancement of religion; advancement of education or science; erecting or maintaining public buildings, monuments, or works; lessening the burdens of government; lessening neighborhood tensions; eliminating prejudice and discrimination; defending human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.
Illegal immigrants are not “underprivileged” because they are not legally entitled to the same fundamental rights that lawful citizens are entitled to.
Please ‘splain.
