Even After Beheading, Sotloffs Still Sucking Up to ISIS: “Steven Was Martyr for allah, koran a Book of Peace;” Muslim Family Spokesman
**** UPDATE: Steven Sotloff Story About Praying, Fasting on Yom Kippur is Fake, BS – Totally Debunked ****
*** SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE – Sotloff family says Steven Sotloff was “Martyr for allah” and that the koran is “peaceful” ***
Even after their Islamo-pandering son was brutally beheaded by Muslims, Steven Sotloff’s parents can’t stop sucking up to his ISIS murderers. Yesterday, they delivered a statement in Arabic to ISIS, addressing its leader as “the Caliph.” The man they used to deliver their statement, Barak Barfi, is a friend of Steven Sotloff’s who identifies himself as “a brother of Islam speaking in the name of Islam,” which can only mean he, too, converted to Islam like Sotloff did. What the hell kind of family does this after Muslims have beheaded their son? (Barfi, who speaks fluent Arabic and has an Israeli name, is a pan-Arabist from the far-left New America Foundation think tank but he was well known as an anti-Israel correspondent for AP and producer for ABC News.)
In the statement, the Sotloffs also said their son didn’t want to become “Lawrence of Arabia,” which is funny because that was his favorite movie, and everything they said about their son–that he wanted to help “oppressed Muslims” overthrow “tyrants” is exactly what Lawrence of Arabia set out to do, also.
The grieving family of U.S. journalist Steven Joel Sotloff, who was beheaded by the militants of the Islamic State (also known as ISIS) in a video released Tuesday, released a statement on Wednesday carefully addressing both Western and Arab media outlets. Sotloff family spokesman Barak Barfi spoke on behalf of the family — in both English and Arabic. . . .
Barfi also addressed the media in Arabic, speaking directly to Islamic State Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He said that as a brother of Islam, he was speaking in the name of Islam and did not agree with the Caliph’s actions.
“Where is the mercy?” he asked the Caliph.
Oh, and then they added some New Age “It Takes a Village” Hillary Clinton-style stuff:
“Today we grieve. This week we mourn. But we will emerge from this ordeal,” Barfi said. “Our village is strong. We will not allow our enemies to hold us hostage with the sole weapons they possess: fear.
Um, “our village”? What is their “village”? Miami, Florida? Pinecrest? Hillary Clinton’s “It Takes a Village to Raise Your Kids”? I’m not sure who they mean by “our enemies” since they are still kissing up to ISIS even after the group beheaded and snuffed out their son. But clearly, they were held hostage by fear, as ISIS held their son hostage for a year and the mom made stupid caliphate recognition videos. Of course they won’t be held hostage by fear. Their son is dead, so the deed is done and there is nothing left to fear. What they feared happened. That would have been a brave statement before ISIS killed their son, instead of sending a begging video (which they had to know ISIS would ignore). Now, it’s beside the point.
When people ask me how a Jewish kid could end up pandering to Muslims so much that he spent years living in Yemen, converted to Islam, and published story after story cheerleading ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda, and various other Islamic terrorist “rebels,” I tell those people to look at his parents. They raised him this way. The Sotloffs are leftist members of the Reform Judaism movement (as in, barely Jewish, completely ignorant, totally far-left).
And obviously, since they are still respectfully addressing ISIS leader Abu-Bakr Al-Baghdadi in his native Arabic and acknowledging him as “the Caliph,” they taught their now-dead son to respect these barbarians and their savage religion.
Well, now I know why he lost his head: it runs in the family.
*** UPDATE: Barfi, the Sotloff family spokesman, said the koran is “peaceful” and then said in Arabic that Steven Sotloff died a “martyr to allah.” The article says G-d, but if you listened to video of his statement, he says allah.
The family of Steven Sotloff, the second American journalist beheaded by Islamic State militants, said on Wednesday he was “a gentle soul”, and challenged the group’s leader to a debate on the peaceful teachings of the Muslim holy book, the Koran. . . . Barfi ended the statement with off-the-cuff remarks in Arabic, saying “Steve died a martyr for the sake of God [allah].”
Reader Duane: “Stupid: the gift that keeps on giving.”
Spot on, Duane.
As far as losing their heads….you can’t lose what you don’t have.
And is it me or does the mom look like the crypt keeper in a wig? Maybe all that botox poisoned her brain.
