No NFL Sensitivity Training for HAMAS Support & Jew-Hatred, Just for Dissing of Gay Draft Kiss PDA

By Debbie Schlussel

The National Football League has an interesting set of double standards. If you support HAMAS and Hezbollah terrorists and their mass murders or if you attack Orthodox Jews, it’s just fine. But if you are upset about a public display of affection by gay men on the televised draft, You. Must. Be. Condemned. What’s next? Will NFL players who are pro-life or against Islamic terrorism be fired? Don’t bet against it. That’s the direction in which things are headed.

Don Jones (Right) Fined, Sent to Reprogramming for Tweet Over Sam Kiss

michaelsamtweet
michaelsamtweet2

Ask Miami Dolphins player Don Jones. He’s now in gridiron purgatory for tweeting “OMG [Oh My G-d] . . . Horrible” about overrated athlete Michael Sam’s make out session on live national TV (with boyfriend Vito Cammisano) when he was finally drafted in the NFL Draft’s seventh round. (I guarantee you, by the way, that if Sam weren’t the “gay pro football martyr,” he wouldn’t have been drafted, but the NFL felt pressured to show how gay-friendly it is. I noted on this site, months ago, that Sam performed horribly at the NFL Combine and team scouts weren’t impressed at all.)

So, now, if you have certain religious and/or moral beliefs and express them, the NFL fines you and sends you to sensitivity training camp. What views will be next? Not support for HAMAS. The NFL has several Muslim players who won’t condemn the terrorist group. It has a devout Palestinian Muslim player, Oday Aboushi, who supports HAMAS (and probably Hezbollah, which murdered more Americans than any other terrorist group other than Al-Qaeda) and who attacked Orthodox Jews. But the NFL tolerates that. Because support for Islamic terrorism and hatred of Jews is hip and in vogue, but expressing your objection to vile public displays of affection is not. And if a Muslim NFL player tweeted what Jones did, I’m sure he’d be untouched, out of concern for “religious tolerance” toward Islam and Muslims. That’s Don Jones’ other crime: not being Muslim when he tweeted that–the NFL gives special privileges to Muslim players. And the NFL is a microcosm of the rest of corporate and pop culture America, sadly.

Saturday Night, I tweeted (follow me on Twitter) that it was sad that kids watching the NFL draft are subject–without any warning to parents–to men making out. See my tweets above. I was roundly attacked. We are supposed to subject kids this at an early age and indoctrinate them that this is okay. That’s the new, new America. Anyone who shares a differing, politically incorrect view is to be condemned. (For the record, I personally am libertarian when it comes to most gay issues. What you do with whom, as long as it isn’t with animals or kids, is your biz. I just don’t want it shoved in my face, and I believe marriage is between a man and a woman.) Soon, we will be condemned if we object to kids being subject to porn on the NFL draft. Nope, I’m not exaggerating. In our anything goes culture, anything goes . . . except for the opinions of those who object to anything goes.

The Benham Brothers learned this at the hands of HGTV. If you oppose gay marriage and Islamic terrorism, you’re the bad guys. If you support those things, you’re to be celebrated, exalted.

benhambrostweet

I hope Don Jones files a grievance against the NFL, but don’t hold your breath for the players’ union, the NFL Players Association to take his side on this one. When it comes to PC, the NFLPA is in lockstep with the NFL and Hollywood and all of the opinion shapers and influencers that look down on anyone who doesn’t side with the left on all social issues.

In any event, Jones can kiss good-bye any endorsement deals he might have hoped for during his NFL career. After all, only murderers (Ray Lewis) and HAMAS supporters (Oday Aboushi) get those. And get to become celebrated, untouched NFL players.

But if you tweet, “OMG . . . Horrible” at the sight of two sucking face live on national TV, fuhgedaboutit. And stick a fork in it. ‘Cuz you’re done.

***

This won’t stop until others rise up to stop it, like they did with the “Duck Dynasty” kerfuffle. If you continue to watch NFL games, buy NFL merchandise, and otherwise enrich the NFL, their political correctness gestapo will get worse. The NFL ain’t about morality (as we know) or even left-wing non-morality “morality.” It worships the almighty dollar, and that’s the only altar to which it’s devoted. The League won’t stop this PC orthodoxy, until and unless it sees that this is hurting its bottom line.

After the Janet Jackson wardrobe flash (during the super bowl no less) and now two grown men(?) French kissing, just how safe is it to expose kids to what has become the sport of thugs — the NFL?

Also, I seem to remember Tim Tebo being made run of and otherwise ridiculed for his devoutly held Christian beliefs, unlike gay man, Michael Sam.

Never underestimate the power and influence of the gay mafia. It’s not enough to be just left alone, no, it has to be in our faces now.

Dilbert Delaney on May 12, 2014 at 2:17 pm

Oh, I missed this one, i.e sports radio didn’t talk much of this.
See, there is no end to this mess. The tv cameras didn’t have to show it, they could have panned away. The NFl is not an episode of Scandal.

Also, yes this player isn’t a good player, we hear he has an incredible work ethic, but he is not good. His size is awkward and his speed isn’t great, he may not make the team. St. Louis had a deep defensive line, his work ethic got him his shot, we will see if he improves his skill, but he is not that good.

Big D on May 12, 2014 at 2:28 pm

Where were all the other (straight) players kissing their girlfriends in reaction to being drafted? Oh,none. Curious. The Rams are in an awful fix now. One of their own doing. How are they going to be able to cut this guy when they have to? Answer-they can’t. Think Kris Kluwee and the stink that guy threw up. The guy simply should not have been drafted.

Tommy Thomas on May 12, 2014 at 3:01 pm

The most outrageous moment of this display was when Sam started complaining to reporters that he should have been drafted in the first three rounds. Heck, Tom Brady didn’t get drafted until the 6th round (how many Super Bowls has he led his team?), and Adam Vinatieri went undrafted but managed to sign as a free agent and become one of the NFL’s greatest kickers. Did they complain? No, they proved their worth to the NFL and were greatly rewarded. This guy only used his being gay as an insurance policy against the NFL passing over him altogether, which should have been a distinct possibility for him, all things considered.

Gary Welsh on May 12, 2014 at 3:01 pm

I was about to bring up the Benham Brothers who are decent Christians whose sole crime was that they had conservative and Christian beliefs.

In retrospect, I’m glad Debbie has a blog! In today’s intolerant climate, she could never have her own TV or radio show. Just too much BS and self-censorship to please the increasingly totalitarian Left.

As for the NFL, well it goes to show much the League cares for families. Really, up yours! If you don’t like the fact football has become politically correct, tough luck.

That’s the way it is these days. You can no longer express certain beliefs in public or even privately – cuz like Donald Sterling, you will pay the price. Even if you aren’t a racist.

So happy that the NFL is right on top of teaching correct values to American youth.

How can you tweet that no one cares if a gay player gets drafted when IMMEDIATELY there were tweets to the contrary? Or that GMs were saying he’d go undrafted because he’d tear apart the locker room?

J-Bone on May 12, 2014 at 3:41 pm

Debbie, they’re some stuff where I tend to disagree with you on such issues here, but at the sametime, I respect your view and your right to this specific story.

For starters, about this guy Michael Sam, I think he did this with his boyfriend for PR reasoning, irrespectively, I wasn’t offended at all when the two guys kissed eachother, if they’re in love, then whatever, “live and let live”! I also agree with you on being a classic-liberal on LGBT issues, etc., now at the very sametime, the biggest offenders of rape, and pedophilia tends to be “heterosexual men” (you all can look it up and do a search on it). Also, before the advent of organized religions colonizing societies, just about all societies and cultures in world history had same-sex weddings and ceremonies (they didn’t call it “gay-marriage” at the time). I’ll give you an example, here in the Americas (North, South and Central), their were some LGBT folks amongst the Native Indian tribes, and they were referred to as the “Two-Spirits”, they had their celebrations in areas such as the Pimas of Arizona, in many cases, Native American tribes, particularly the tribes of the Great Plains and the Southwest were greatly admiring of their Two-Spirits, and among the Hopi and the Zuni of Arizona & New Mexico, the Two-Spirits held special status and so forth. And that was all changed when the white-man came and discovered the Americas by imposing Christianity on the Natives via, colonization, ethnic-cleansing, etc.

Now back to the OT, I remember you wrote an article back a few months ago of Mr. Sam being pretty mediocre in the NFL combines, you were right at the time Debbie of this kid stinking up the joint. And as BigD clarified, Michael Sam may or may not make it to the team, and I think if this kid wants a bright future in the NFL, then he has to do ALOT of work on his techniques, skills, etc., if the Rams front-office folks don’t want to cut this kid!

Sean R. on May 12, 2014 at 3:42 pm

@ Sean R. – “For starters, about this guy Michael Sam, I think he did this with his boyfriend for PR reasoning, irrespectively, I wasn’t offended at all when the two guys kissed eachother, if they’re in love, then whatever, “live and let live”!”

I was in S.F a coup weeks ago with a woman friend of mine and we were at an outside crowded event. Now my friend I’ve seen other places with her gay male friends, she’s Brazilian. However at this faire we were at, two shirtless males were standing in proximity to us and they were in each others arms and began kissing.

She tapped me and said look and made a negative comment, etc. My response was, “Hey we’re in Frisco,” Go fig. I didn’t get into a discussion about it with her, but thought it peculiar that she had an issue with that being that I’ve seen here at an other event with her gay male friends.

My point, and this Michael Sams story just reinforces it. That people maybe ok with gay marriage and gays (they don’t want to see them stoned to death, etc) but when it comes to outward affection, it turns a persons stomach. (now i read, they kept going back to them while they were smooshing cake in each others faces) come on, people may not be Bigots, but they aren’t comfy with all that, and the action of my friend proves it. lol

Big D on May 12, 2014 at 4:22 pm

The Messiah must be near because I agree with Big D. In particular:

I wrote a complaint to NFL.com and ESPN on their Draft Day coverage:

Subject: Are you trying to indoctrinate your viewers and desensitize them and their families to homosexual activity??

Cameras in a damned gay bar? Really?? I was EXTREMELY offended at the public display of homosexual affection that you insisted on showing to myself and my family on your Draft Day coverage. I do NOT watch ESPN and the NFL with my family to see live homosexual activity. Is this going to be your pattern in the future? Why don’t you put your homosexual acts on a different channel so everyone doesn’t have to “accidentally” subject their family to such activities? Call it ESPN-Q. Make it a pay channel and see how many subscriptions you sell.

PDMac60 on May 12, 2014 at 6:31 pm

Whenever anyone justifies this or that “for the children,” I get worried, regardless of the person’s ideological bent.

I suppose this whole thing was televised for political shock value and thus for media coverage, though nothing about the interaction between the two men looked “staged” if you view the video. Also, I have no more problem with fairly chaste public kisses between men than with those between mixed-sex couples.

I also flatly disagree with the “eeews” here. While I understand that one’s sexual orientation will condition one’s feelings about this kiss (c’mon, let’s be frank here, shall we?), I wanted to chime in with an anti-eeew for the record.

The main issue is what the NFL did to Jones, who merely texted a disparaging comment. The NFL deserves a serious backlash and a lawsuit. I might think differently if Jones were on the Rams, because then there would team discipline at stake. Here, though, the real issue is Big Brother imposing “feeling rules” on people in favor of a particular set of leftwing-approved groups

skzion on May 12, 2014 at 6:53 pm

sk, what is “fairly” chaste? Either it is or it isn’t. This certainly wasn’t. And FTR, I don’t want to see hetero couples doing it either.

Meira on May 13, 2014 at 12:33 am

Meira, I’m not sure “chaste” is a dichotomy, but I will not quibble. There wasn’t any deep kissing in the video clip.

skzion on May 13, 2014 at 1:23 am

There was in some of the stills, however. And it’s still not a “brotherly” kiss.

Meira on May 13, 2014 at 4:06 am

          Meira:

          (1) it was the video clip that made the rounds not this still.

          (2) I did not say the kiss(es) were brotherly; I said they were not so-called French kisses. Please read carefully, as I do not forgive serial mistatements of fact. Those who cannot avoid them because of age should remain quiet.

          (3) So, while I find this whole business a stunt, I do not think the kiss(es) were objectively out of the ordinary. By this I mean that they would not seem out of place if the couple were mixed-sex. That is my standard.

          (4) I think there are teenagers (especially gay ones) who would benefit from seeing more such kisses.

          (5) Given, however, that I do take parental rights so seriously, I’m not about to dismiss their complaints. They are free to apply any pressure they feel appropriate. They are also free to edit shows as they see fit for their kid’s protection.

skzion on May 13, 2014 at 11:34 am

“I understand that one’s sexual orientation will condition one’s feelings…”

Not so fast, skzion. Homosexuality beyond whatever religion or social consciousness deems it is an aberration of nature.

As an *analogy* (emphasis not for you, sk), if beastialists (?) were as common as homosexuals and such people started demanding that marrying sheep be legalized and NFL draftees began French-kissing their chickens (or whatever was the object of their desire). it wouldn’t be “eww-worthy” because we weren’t “conditioned to it”, rather it would be repulsive because of its perversion of nature.

    DS_ROCKS! on May 13, 2014 at 1:59 pm

DSR, I don’t see what the naturalness or unnaturalness of homosexuality brings to this discussion. I do not believe that viceral responses derive from such categories. Rather, I believe that this type of categorily dresses up the emotional response.

Look, I am more sensitive to gross-out when a mixed-sex couple is going at it than when two men are, even though I would prefer neither in my face. I certainly get easily grossed out when two women are involved. Furthermore, for me, gross-out goes up if the perps are old or ugly. I don’t see how “nature” as a category explains any of this. And, I am almost certain that straight men would have similar variation in their responses, even though the details would be different.

skzion on May 13, 2014 at 6:23 pm

PS, DSR, I am not referring to “conditioning.” I think that one’s sexual tastes play into what is eeeew worthy. One could lessen that by sufficient conditioning, but certainly not end it. Nor do I think it is government’s role to end it.

skzion on May 13, 2014 at 6:27 pm

“Nor do I think it is government’s role to end it.”

          Agreed.

          DS_ROCKS! on May 13, 2014 at 7:13 pm

“I don’t see what the naturalness or unnaturalness of homosexuality brings to this discussion”

In this case, something that is apart from moral/social standards. Girls in bikinis, PDAs, or crude language would have landed one in stocks 200 years ago, raised eyebrows in the ’60s, and is acceptable, today.

I don’t believe that moral compasses were just pulled from hispters’ or humanists’ asses – I believe they were divinely imparted and memorialized through scripture. When we start applying humanist or relative morals to clearly (to me) unnatural behaviors then we open the floodgates to things like postpartum abortions, executions, pogroms, sharia law, etc.

The same applies to homosexuality. In itself, seeing two men kiss is no big deal – men do it all the time in some European and other cultures, but saying or implying that it’s natural or normal is the wrong approach. After all, it’s normal for muslims to amputate limbs, hang gays and stone women, but we are rightly appalled by it.

Homosexuality doesn’t affect anyone other than homosexuals and for that reason it should be left up to the participants, just like, say, consenting heteros who are into bondage or something, but thinking that it’s a right to display their predilections for public consumption has the domino effect.

        DS_ROCKS! on May 13, 2014 at 7:11 pm

DSR, I don’t know if homosexuality is a deviation from nature because I don’t know what “nature” means in this context. I prefer defensible analytical categories.

Let me clarify my position. The Left has traditionally said that man has no “nature”; he can be what he is molded to be. “Society” is the suggested source of such molding. I disagree. I think that very much of human behavior has an evolutionary basis (and hence can be illuminated by sociobiology). However, I don’t think the category “natural” has much of a relationship to evolutionary biology.

For example, someone will resist sending money to another who is not a relation. This is as basic in sociobiology as one can get. That’s why communism always fails. It’s also why gay people should resist sending money to gubmint so that it can be diverted (in the form of mortgages tax benefits) to those who are overwhelmingly hetero married couples intent on raising their kids. Indeed, guaranteed student loan programs are another example, as are state/local taxes for schools. So, if there is anything “unnatural” here, it is gay “placidity” in the wake of such facts. However, such placidity has been obtained in the way it usually is: the threat, and sometimes practice, of violence. That’s how communist governments survive, and that’s how gay people have been kept meek.

Now, I’m not one for taking turns at being a bully. I don’t think gays (or women, blacks, hispanics) should be given affirmative action. I do think that businesses should be free to discriminate in hiring or providing service as they see fit. But let’s not pretend that on the gay front there has not been an injustice. There has been. Only the threat of violence (sometimes involving government) could have maintained the status quo.

Invoking “nature” can be a tricky business.

skzion on May 14, 2014 at 1:20 pm

I wonder why gay is ok in the NFL but marijuana isn’t. Pot is a big PC issue also. It’s ok to show two guys tongue kissing, celebrating being drafted, so why wouldn’t they show some guy celebrating by smoking a blount?

CornCoLeo on May 12, 2014 at 7:04 pm

Don Jones just verbalized millions of people’s gut reaction on Facebook.
For being honest about what most people feel but don’t say he will now pay the price.
The precious NFL will make sure of that.

I don’t think this does them any good really. It’s a big turn off if the fans are honest.
Oh, but they couldn’t say that could they?

Frankz on May 12, 2014 at 7:53 pm

sorry that’s Twitter but same difference

Frankz on May 12, 2014 at 7:55 pm

I believe that the vast majority of people, even those that claim to be pro-gay, deep deep down in their heart where they never let anyone else and keep their deepest thought to themselves, find homosexuality and every other “alternative lifestyle” out there repulsive. But they don’t want to be “on the wrong side of history” so they spout the PC line because its easier.

But the whole homosexuality issue is lost anyway. You can tell because the media is really hammering the “transgender” bullsh*t now. They wouldn’t be pushing that if they still thought they had work to do on the gay/gay marriage stuff.

I may have said this before viz other issues of this type, but that PDA also serves as much of a political statement of supremacism (“We will take over and go on to impose our values on the rest of you”) in its own way as, say, the Muslim footbaths being installed in public restrooms in Dearbornistan being one of many avenues leading to the eventual imposition of Sharia onto all of America. As well, that PDA serves as a de facto recruitment tool to induce others into that lifestyle (again, in its own way as al-Qaeda spokespersons in videos justifying the 9/11 attacks to recruit more terrorists).

ConcernedPatriot on May 13, 2014 at 7:58 am

P.S. “Sensitivity training” as what Don Jones is being forced into, is another euphemism for what in Communist countries was bluntly called “re-education camps.”

ConcernedPatriot on May 13, 2014 at 8:00 am

Several things here folks. Here we have a very mediorce foot ball player in Michael Sam who stank at the NFL Combine. Being a homosexual(sorry liberals and you other PC-ers but gay means happy in Ken b’s dictionary)he knew that he had an ace in the hole and wound up being drafted anyway. Now just to show you what kind of man that the NFL and the Rams will be dealing with Sam actually thought that he should’ve went higher in the draft. Only in America. I say that because Sam being both Black and a homosexual is a doublely protected class in this country. As such him kissing his “boyfriend” is all well and good in the NFL under that idiot Goodell. This is the same league that not only couldn’t stand up for Tebow but seems to want to put Don Jones through “sensitivity training” for expressing views held by many about homosexuals. The sensitive crybabies need not worry though. The No Fun League will have Jones apologizing faster than they can organize their next “gay” pride rally. In any event I do hope that the Rams really work with Sam because being a defensive end and slow (a 4.9 40 yd dash…lol)only works in the grade school pee-wee leagues.

Am I the only one who believes that kiss was planned, prepared ,set up,et al, in advance,by the network or some gay group, to deliberately rub it in Our faces, for propaganda reasons?

CharlesMartel on May 13, 2014 at 11:17 am

Well, Kenb tellin’ it like it is. And I like reading your stuff, by the way, because you take a straightforward, no nonsense approach. If I wanted to see meandering, off topic posts with massive and irrelevant verbiage, I would just . . .

read one of my own posts. ROTFLMAO!!!

Interesting that no one has mentioned the 43,000 tweets former Jets (my favorite team) running back Derrick Ward put up concerning this situation. Ward’s series of posts has been couched in the headline “homophobic” on Yahoo! News. Interesting that if one finds homosexuality to even be ohhhhhh, let’s just say, outside the norm, you are immediately classified as homophobic. And then you have to qualify what you are saying by saying what I often say, which is true, that I love my gay friends as much as I love my straight friends. But that’s not the real point.

You just can’t TOUCH the subject without gushing over how wonderful it is to be gay. And if it’s not outside the norm, how come everyone isn’t gay? What’s the percentage of the population that IS gay? Let’s just assume it’s much larger than available statistics would show. Let’s say it’s 20%. That’s STILL outside the norm. But how dare you even mention that. Makes you a homophobe.

Anyone smell the gas yet? The chambers are ready folks, and soon, if you’re not marching to the leftist agenda beat, you’ll be marched right in to the gas chamber. It’s coming. What do you think the 1.7 BILLION hollow point rounds are for?

Anyway?

Remember, he’s got a pen and a phone. And so does his entire army. And they ARE an army, make no mistake about it.

This is just but another incident in a long line which again begs the ongoing, yet unanswered, question: “WTF is this country coming to?!”

IceNoMore on May 13, 2014 at 12:37 pm

@ HK, “Notice a white kissing a black”

No one notice is because the gayness overshadowed that. If it happened to be an All American female blonde, oh yeah, there would be some verbal drama. Just look how much drama that cheerios commercial drummed up. Lol.

Black Man, White Woman will never be “OK” and easily digested, never. If you look at American tv, that is something that is not portrayed on t.v. Oh they will portray an interracial couple, but the woman will be English, or European, she will not be an All American White woman.

The only show that I’ve seen this portrayed on, was a show the English produced called Hustle, I believe. It was a group of people that ran highly efficient scams, and it was headed by a Black man. They had him sleeping with some knockouts, which shocked me, but again this wasn’t an American show.

I’ve haven’t seen black man kissing black man on tv either, xcept for Magic and Isiah

BigD, you’re wrong on this one. I’m not a big fan of TV, and a lot of times I don’t get to see shows until long after they finished their run. Then, years later, I’ll catch up by watching these shows in reruns just to check them out. I’m not a fan the show, but watched a few episodes. Sex And The City did this about 20 years ago. After Miranda broke up with Stewie, I think the character’s name was, she was prominently featured with a very good looking, large, athletic black man. Since Stewie was sort of a runty, whiny kind of white guy, the obvious contrast was inescapable.

I forget the actor’s and character’s name, but there was no attempt made to “work it in” to the storyline. One day, Stewie had to come to her apartment, and if I remember correctly, the black actor answered the door. There was no “explanation” for this pairing, it just was.

And I know the following categories don’t count, but it has also been done in a number of commercials, and of course, it is a cause celebre in porn. Since porn is served up on a menu, it is not hard to find, although I know you’re talking about prominent TV shows.

Also, come to NYC, and just stroll through the streets of Manhattan on any day when the weather is pleasant. East Side, West Side, all around the town, if you stroll for even a few minutes, you will see black men with white women, and some of the women are quite hot. Or take the subway. The longer you stay outside, the more black man, white woman couples you will see.

I know that last category doesn’t count either, and I’m not addressing what people think inside their heads when they see this, but it is not unusual in the least. It is actually almost expected, at least in NYC. The days are long gone when there is something unusual about seeing a black man with a white woman, or thinking about it.

You can also go to just about any club in NY, NJ or other places if you wish to see black men with white women. It’s quite common in the bar/club scene. I’m searching my memory for another TV show, and if I can remember it, I’ll get back here.

Very well put Debbie. All Don Jones has to do is get in a fight where two guys die and do everything he can to cover it up and he aill have a sweet commentator job on ESPN!

Jay Bird on May 13, 2014 at 6:14 pm

Woah…

Can I get in on this circlejerk…?

Or is it an invitation-only club…?

Liz Katz on May 15, 2014 at 4:12 am

Liz, you are repeating your “material.”

    “Fire a lesbian today!”

skzion on May 17, 2014 at 11:52 pm

@ Alfredo, society as a whole will not ever be comfy with this, and that is why it is not promoted on tv. When tv promotes an agenda, it is usually an onslaught of new shows, with the topic. As hollyweird is doing with Homosexuality. All types of shows promoting this, but again, you would never see this black male, American white woman, No way. I was just making an observation, I dont need to advocate it, i live it, everyday
