VIDEO: I Can’t Decide Which of These People I Hate More – Hollyweird Morons

By Debbie Schlussel

Jesse Eisenberg has a responsibility to promote his movie–he gets paid the big bucks to do that, so he shouldn’t have been so rude to the interviewer who is there promoting his crappy movie. But he has the typical arrogance and condescending tone of a Hollywood “holier-than-thou” actor. On the other hand, this interviewer is a complete airhead. And she’s as egomaniacal as Eisenberg is, to boot. She makes celebs say her name and that’s the title of her show? Her fragile, huge ego obviously can’t handle not being fawned and drooled over with her every dumb utterance. Her questions are stupid, and she’s typical of the vapid entertainment mainstream media. If this interview almost made her cry, she probably should have cried. Both of ’em are annoying, and it’s painful to watch. But I give the edge to Eisenberg, who does give it good to this pretentious Romina Puga chick. She’s there for two reasons–and two reasons only: 1) she’s Hispanic and it’s for Univision; and 2) she forgot to put pants or even a skirt on.

hollyweird

What’s most pathetic is that this moronette will probably get a gazillion offers for bigger and better jobs out of this stupidity.

By the way, I personally know “Carrot Top” a/k/a Scott Thompson, and he’s a heckuva lot smarter and more entertaining than either of these two.

DS, I am so glad you are not sure who is to hate more. I felt the same way yesterday when I saw this. I decided that the Bim was more annoying to me thou’ because she was arrogant and lacked a sympathetic demeanor. I thought Eisenberg came off as still nerdy (even thou’ the article I read yesterday had me geared up to hate him because they said he was just “horrible”…after reading it…when I saw the clip, I felt just as you did). I can’t be too wrong if you saw it the same way!

I couldn’t give a frog’s fat one about JE. So when I saw the video (yesterday) AFTER the hyped up article that painted him as a beast I was pleasantly surprised that he came off as a geek still, but SHE, to me, was more arrogant and annoying.

And this Bim didn’t seem an iota as upset as she supposedly wrote in her dopey blog AFTER the interview.

She annoyed me more. I was already annoyed by him long ago.

Ok, your clip was much longer than the one I saw yesterday.

And I hate the Bim even more now.

That type of arrogance she carries is NOT cool. I see it way too often these days. EVERYWHERE.

This is the real reason why Michael Douglas got throat cancer.

The director messed up here too. The director had the technical director cut back-and-forth from a front view of Jesse to a camera shot positioned behind him–which gave away the trick. Although it looks like Jesse did the critical simple slight fairly well, you could clearly see TWO cards from the back, destroying the illusion that the incorrect card was changed into the correct one. But Jesse also fumbled the set-up of the trick, where you could clearly see him working to lift two cards off the top of the deck, rather than give the illusion that he was just taking the top card off. Can’t blame the director for that.

(By the way, Joe Pesci did this same basic trick much better when he played the lawyer Vinny in the very funny and memorable comedy, “My Cousin Vinny.” Of course, Joe had an excellent director working with him in that movie.)

Debbie, that’s great that you know Carrot Top. I’ve always considered him to be among the best and brightest and inventive of the comics on the scene today. And I see a lot of comics.

And here’s a clip of the scene I was thinking of with Joe Pesci doing a variation on the trick, from “My Cousin Vinny.” The visual isn’t the best, but it will give you an idea of how the move should be done. I also like the script writing in this scene, where Vinny compares the prosecution’s case to a magic trick that is intended to give the illusion of guilt.

I loathe Jesse more. He’s a leftist; therefore, he shouldn’t attack wimmin that way.

S: Puh-leeze, she’s from Univision a/k/a the Illegal Alien Channel. You don’t think she’s a leftist? She’s probably not only a leftist, but she’s a moron. At least he’s funny in his responses to her stupidity. DS

skzion on June 4, 2013 at 8:43 pm

Debbie, of course she’s a leftist. However, in these morally difficult situations between two scum, I decide between them based on their own claimed value system.

As she is a womon of color, she has two oppressions, and Jesse has none. He is therefore even a greater scum than she because, while he poses as a leftist, he does not even abide by leftist rules which would prevent him from treating her this way. In other words, he even lacks the integrity to abide by the immoral values he claims as his own.

Does everyone here remember the movie, “Idiocracy?” This woman could have been a correspondent in that movie. DUMB, DUMB, DUMB.

As to her nasty aside about Carrot Top, the guy appears to be self-made, and has worked his butt off. And I know many won’t agree with me, but he is funny and smart. In fact, who is this twit to criticize anybody? Our high school had one of the first in-house closed circuit student run television stations, and the anchors and correspondents were more professional than she was (Willard Scott used to come by once a year at 7:00 AM in the morning to be on the show, but that is another story about another great human being.)

I’m not a Carrot Top* fan but I was really offended by her last evo when she unnecessarily slagged him to JE. I was surpised at how annoyed it made me.

(*I remember CT when he first emerged…I thought he was very clever and funny. I must admit I thought him very strange when he re-emerged (later) all buff and that sorta thing…it was strange to me. I didn’t get it. Just wanted to state that for clarity. I am a big fan of comedians…John Witherspoon is my fav and so is Gilbert Gottfried. And I always loved ‘Gallagher’…both of them!)

What is this girl, like 12 years old? What is she doing with a TV show? Did she get her big break with home vids on You Tube or something? Seriously!

This was an interview? Is this what passes for an interview nowadays? I have seen better interviews given by high school year book staff than this woman. Even though I have enjoyed Jesse the actor in ZOMBIELAND and SOCIAL NETWORK, he does come off as just some dweeb in this “interview”. This is no where close to Johnny Carson when he interviews his actor guests but I must be spoiled to think anyone can be like good ole Johnny. One of the reasons why I can not watch entertainment television channels, the caliber is so awful.

For what it’s worth, Jesse Eisenberg does a very good acting job in one of my favorite movies about life in a prep school for boys, called “The Emperor’s Club.” The movie stars Kevin Kline as a professor striving to maintain his principles, with Emile Hirsch playing his student foil, and Jesse Eisenberg as another student. Great script and excellent performances all around. (My other favorites in this boy’s school subgenre are the classic “The Browning Version” and “Scent of a Woman.” Surprisingly, “Dead Poet’s Society” and “Goodbye Mr. Chips” don’t rank as high for me.)

Ralph Adamo on June 4, 2013 at 11:59 pm

Jesse Eisenberg is probably gay.
No problem with that besides the fact that he’s also a facile twerp that talks too fast about not much at all.
Seems a lot more concerned that the girl interviewing him doesn’t invade his personal Morgan Freeman space than anything else she might be doing wrong.
Who cares about this Hollywood gay baboon turf struggle crapola? Not me, sorry.

But Jesse is by far the coldest fish in the freezer.
He’s smart enough to know that about himself.
So I know who I hate most. No problems there.

Please don’t tell me he’s not gay. I don’t care.

I naturally gravitate toward wanting a guy to at least attempt to be courteous dealing with women. She’s part of the left in a bad way, but Mr. “BigStar” is the bigger jerk. He reminds me of the endless arrogant weasels who routinely treat anyone they can like this. Really want to see this jerk flop in some movies so he’s forced to get a real job. Maybe licking taco shells.

They’re all a bunch of cerebrally challenged douchebags; don’t waste your time or your dime!

She’ll probably wind up in Maxim as another “hot” beauty and wind up having an out-of-wedlock kid….

IceNoMore on June 5, 2013 at 10:32 am

Oh man choices choices. Who do I hate more. Debbie I would have to say I couldn’t stand Ms. Puga more than Eisenberg. I do happen to think that he is a pretentious little twerp but she was giving the interview. I know that it is Univision but if that was how Puga does her show then she sucks. She comes across as a true vapid dimwit. The whole thing was like Mr Smartypants gets interviewed by Ms Dunderhead. Well at least with her looks she could be another annoying magazine model. Also with her interviewing skills she could work at dumb shows like Entertainment Tonight or Extra. The last one she could keep fellow hispanic airhead Mario Lopez company.

Ken b on June 5, 2013 at 6:36 pm

the point here is she got off on the wrong foot instantly, what right does she have calling him freeman, its mr freeman or morgan freeman, considering she is 14 and didnt even bother to dress correctly. when he saw that she had no respect for morgan freeman his costar and friend. As a young person showing utter disrespect and contempt as she did without a ounce of gravatas herself. this is what i saw, a person with no talent interviewing a person with talent, a wannabe trying to put down two people with talent
