It Makes a Big Difference, Hillary. Benghazi Terrorism Wasn’t “Guys Out for a Walk One Night”

By Debbie Schlussel

I know I’m not the only American genuinely outraged by Hillary Clinton’s faux-drama and self-righteous, self-serving indignation about who murdered four Americans at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. As you saw during her well-rehearsed testimony yesterday, several of the Republican Senators weren’t buying it either. But her comments were really outrageous if you look at them. She was essentially saying that Islamic terrorism doesn’t matter, that Islamic terrorist attacks on Americans don’t matter, and that Islamic terrorists are just some guys going out for a walk like the average couple in your neighborhood walking their dog.

hillarywhatdifference

It Makes Every Difference in the World, Hillary.

With all due respect [DS: meaning Hillary Clinton has no respect for these guys and thinks none is due], the fact is we had four dead Americans. . . . Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?

That a Secretary of State of the United States of America–a wannabe President who is already unofficially running for that office for the second time–would make such a statement is incredible. It makes all the difference in the world why the U.S. Consulate was attacked and why four Americans–including the U.S. Ambassador–were murdered. And why, instead of denouncing Islamic terrorists who did it, this same Secretary of State Clinton denounced American free speech as exercised in an amateurish so-called movie trailer and at the same time apologized to Muslims around the world for the Islamic killing of Americans whom she abandoned and didn’t keep safe.

That she would now refuse to identify the attack as what we’ve long known–and she long knew–was a planned Islamic attack on the anniversary of 9/11 is an outrage. That she would say it’s an either/or of two choices–neither of which is the reality–of a “protest” or someone going on a “walk one night” is absurd and an absolute perversion of what actually happened. These were cold, hardened mass-murdering Islamic terrorists, NOT guys out for a walk who just decided to do this and NOT people in a protest. And she still won’t admit the truth. It’s comical.

The attacks weren’t “just decided” one night. They were long planned and coordinated with the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Egypt on that day and so on. That’s important. That Hillary Clinton would dare say to the world that it makes no “difference” what happened is just idiocy.

Her fake drama–with her crying/choking up while zero tears flowed–was just adding insult to injury. There was no taking of responsibility. No admission of what we all know actually happened.

Just staged indignation about this not making “a difference.” When, in fact, whether it was a planned Islamic terrorist attack on our diplomatic outpost and officials–of which she had many prior warnings from previous attacks and cables and e-mails–makes EVERY difference in the world.

It makes a whole lot of difference why and how this happened, Hillary Clinton. That you would compare planned Islamic murders of Americans to “guys out for a walk one night” is just disgusting. Sickening. Nauseating.

And to think this arrogant witch might be our next President.

***

By the way, good for Senator Ron Johnson (of Wisconsin) for calling her on her lies. Would love to see him run for Prez.

She has again exposed her incompetence and avoidance of responsibility, together with her cold, reptilian soul. This woman should never have been a senator, secretary of state, or chief enabler of Billy Boy. What a disgrace as an American and human being.

Concerned Citizen on January 24, 2013 at 1:06 pm

But at this point it DOES make a difference because we’re talking about whether or not the administration covered up a huge terrorist attack that would put their foreign policy failures on display for all to see….right before the election. And don’t think Hillary didn’t use the long “health delay” for her testimony to good effect. You can bet she knew she’d get these questions and practiced her staged indignation.

Sean M on January 24, 2013 at 1:06 pm

I never in my life thought I would ever be providing an explanation for what Hillary does, but, given the absolute absurdity of her statement, I think part of the reason is her recent blood clot and concussion, coupled with the fact that she is well into her 60s.

People of that age react differently to concussions, and their cognitive abilities do not diminish at exactly the same time. But I think unquestionable, her performance yesterday was affected by these things.

Granted, her attitude would not have been different if she were 20 years younger, and had not had a concussion. But she would have been more circumspect in what she said, especially since she has been thinking of running for President (but I think she will look at her health and re-evaluate that perspective in the near-future).

That being said, of course her actions were disgusting, and just as disgusting was the unanimity with which the Democrats endorsed her abysmal performance.

Paul Shanklin did a parody of Hillary testifying–“Ah, I don’t remember…my mind has turned to jello…” That was back during the Clinton Maladministration.

The message I got was: “With all due respect, Senator, why can’t you simply accept my dissembling and dissimulation?”.

But as already somewhere has been mentioned, our legislators, not being under the laws against insider trading, for example, the corruption is so pervasive and of so long a time in effect, that, than say, weak-kneed complicity, appropriate responses to perfidy are hardly to be expected of our legislators; so, . . .

PhillipGaley on January 25, 2013 at 5:56 pm

If she runs, she’ll be elected our next President.

Or we’ll get Joe Biden.

Its hard to think who’s worse. Think of it as the Obama third term.

NF: Great minds think alike. I was just thinking the same thing (her v. Biden), but she’ll kick Biden’s ass. DS

David on January 24, 2013 at 1:52 pm

Hillary is absolutely correct.
It doesn’t matter.

The Democrats have enough people sucking on the public tit that no matter what they do or say Democrats will elect the next president from now until the whole house of cards collapses.
In the larger cities the welfare collectors outnumber the people actually working.
In cities like Detroit the takers vastly outnumber the tax-payers. So those Democratic positions of Mayor, Congressman, City councilman, etc. are safe no matter what happens.
In some cities they elect crack addicts and people so stupid they can’t string 5 word sentences together, much less talk in proper English.

So Hillary couldn’t be more correct.
It doesn’t matter!!

steve g on January 24, 2013 at 1:55 pm

Debbie, you’re wrong. It makes no difference. What’s really important is that the Obama’s give a great party to celebrities in the White House and that Barack and Michelle are great dancers. What’s wrong with you?

David on January 24, 2013 at 1:58 pm

Hillary is definitely running, which is why she will not be serving in Office for the next 3 1/2 years. She will be busy campaigning.

However, I am not so sure Hillary would win the nomination for one reason: Booker. Mayor Booker of the “beautiful” city of Newark, NJ, is considering a run for president. A Rhodes Scholar, well spoken, he could defeat Hillary because in the minority/victimization hierarchy in the Democratic Party, Black man still trumps white woman. And Booker, even though he is mayor of a failed city, would win enough black, Hispanic, white woman, and Jewish votes to win the Presidential erection, err, election. He would probably win the non too subtle backing of Chris Christie, at least between bites of his sandwiches.

I am doubtful we will every have a white male as President of the United States again, as everything that white males have done for this country, like CREATING IT, are being vilified and torn down.

Jonathan E. Grant on January 24, 2013 at 2:07 pm

That should have been “none too subtle.” Typo

Jonathan E. Grant on January 24, 2013 at 2:13 pm

@Jonathan:

Booker hasn’t had success turning Newark around? That is sad. I hoped that his moderate, pro-business approach would really help that place, which badly needs it.

A welfare based nation, state, or city is always doomed to failure.

If this country, and each state and city, eliminated taxes on manufacturing, our country would return to prosperity. But then, based on the last election, people are more upset with some people being wealthy, than a large portion of people being poor.

Not enough sleep (Two hours). I should have said that the Jewish liberals are mostly reform Jews, who are often JINOS. Orthodox Jews vote conservative and Republican. They are more Republican than Mormons. Religiously Conservative Jews are split, with a majority voting with the Dummicrats, and a fair minority of religiously Conservative Jews voting Republican.

Jonathan E. Grant on January 24, 2013 at 2:19 pm

Incidentally, I don’t think that Booker can run for president in 2016. He has no shot of beating Chris Christie in 2014. He might want to replace Frank Lautenberg in 2014, as Lautenberg will be like 92 then. But jumping from mayor to senator to 2014 to president in 2016 would be a bit much. And he would also have Hillary and Biden in front. Booker will have to wait his turn.

Gerald on January 24, 2013 at 2:24 pm

Now matter how hard he tries, the Blob that ate New Jersey is going no higher than Governor, and a fit, well educated, well spoken black man can defeat a temper tantrum throwing walking pile of pig fat who stabs his political party in the back. Not too many national Republicans are going to be interested in supporting Governor Orcah. Additionally, there has not been a Republican Senator from New Jersey in a long, long, time.

Jonathan E. Grant on January 24, 2013 at 2:28 pm

Everything she does, including her “performance” yesterday, is geared to running in 2016.

As or the poster who commented that we will have either her or Biden, I disagree. These may be the only two that a RINO Republican can and would definitely beat.

Biden says the dumbest things, and Hillary will have to lose weight to have a chance (I know this sounds sexist, but the reality is this does not apply to Chris Christy).

I_AM_ME on January 24, 2013 at 2:31 pm

@Jonathan:

“If this country, and each state and city, eliminated taxes on manufacturing, our country would return to prosperity.”

Hasn’t this country always had taxes on manufacturing? I tend to agree with the comments by Ben Stein on Fox & Friends that more needs to be done on the economy than cutting taxes. Of course, cutting spending needs to happen, especially social spending, but I think that we’ve gotten as much from supply side economics as we are going to get.

Gerald on January 24, 2013 at 2:33 pm

We have had taxes on manufacturing for less than 100 years. Besides, that is irrelevant. We are competing against countries that do not tax manufacturing, or impose onerous labor regulations on said companies. We have to adapt to modern times if we are going to compete.

Jonathan E. Grant on January 24, 2013 at 2:42 pm

The massacres at Newtown by a psychopath get top billing by the Obama Administration, but a long planned Islamic terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi is not a big deal. We are being led by some really warped people. Hilary Clinton has gone from being unlikeable to absolutely loathsome. However, she did not express anything that was not pre-approved by Barack Obama himself. You have a group of people in the White House who will always put their petty political expediency ahead of everything everything else.

This is a corrupt aristocracy at its worst and most brazen.

Worry01 on January 24, 2013 at 2:34 pm

@Jonathan:

I was speaking more of Booker’s chances for beating Chris Christie for governor than Christie’s chances for president. If Booker is going to run for president, he will have to make a step up from mayor of a small, unimportant, impoverished city to senator or governor.

@I_AM_ME:

I meant it will be either her or Biden for the nomination, not necessarily president. I think that in 2016 the country will probably be ready for a GOP president, even if the economy does turn around by then.

Gerald on January 24, 2013 at 2:39 pm

I do not want to see Hillary elected, but from a less emotional point of view; I think she deflected Ron Johnson’s attack very effectively. I have not seen much of her Benghazi testimony, but I did not see any slips or falls as she side-stepped and deflected her way through the questioning. I wish I perceived things the way you wrote them. I think it will take a moderate Republican to win the White House. This will not sit well with the radical right, non-compromising positions, but it is my perception of what mainstream America is looking for.

Visteo on January 24, 2013 at 2:52 pm

Booker won’t have to be a Senator or Governor to be President. People forget that Jessie Jackoff came pretty close to getting the Democratic nomination in 1988 and he was, and still is, a nothing. Being black helps in the Democratic Party. Being a black man who is educated and can speak well makes him a shoe in to be the nominee, if he wants to be.

Jonathan E. Grant on January 24, 2013 at 2:52 pm

Clinton, oddly enough ASKING the committee questions instead of answering them: Blah blah blah quiff quiff quiff oink oink whinny-moo?

A: The ***DIFFERENCE***, Madame Secretary, is that we have in our midst someone from the U.S. government who orchestrated a propaganda campaign to support the enemy. When a wife-beater’s family makes excuses for him, we say that they are “enabling” him. Who “enabled” the attackers in Ben-Ghazi, Hillary? Back in 1947 when you were born, Madame Secretary, they had a much blunter term for that type of campaign: straight-up TREASON in its purest form. How many people did you fire for this, again? And when can we expect the indictments? And how IS that hurt tummy of yours?

St a tus MoNke on January 24, 2013 at 2:56 pm

As long as Boner continues to fund the State Department and all of the other Executive agencies and departments without preconditions, strings, or cutbacks, nothing will change.

The Republicans control the taxation and spending of money by virtue of their control of the House; it is about time they quit cowering like mice and start exercising the power of the purse strings.

Jonathan E. Grant on January 24, 2013 at 3:01 pm

When Hillary said, “What difference does it make?” she was expressing her disdain for the common people. In her mind, two were soldiers and we know they don’t count in the world of Hillary. One was an ordinary person, and the only person that counts in the world of Democrats is the gay man that was killed.

The fact she lied, Obama lied, they apologized for the U.S. having a First Amendment, and the fact they covered up the terroristic nature of the attack before the election does not matter at all, because they have no conscience. The deaths did not affect Hillary or Obama, because only the common people died. It is not like someone from Hollywood was killed. Now that would matter to them.

Jonathan E. Grant on January 24, 2013 at 3:16 pm

Is it my imagination or did Hillary get an attack of the vapors during her testimony? I know that is a term used when describing the emotions of Southern belles around the time of the civil war. Still it does seem appropriate. Am I the only one who noticed that Hilary cannot take pressure or cross examination? She falls apart. There is a sense of entitlement for highly educated women of her generation. They do not have to observe normal protocol – their gender protects them.

Do I remember correctly that there was a drone above the consulate in Benghazi sending video in real time to Washington, D. C.? We had a response team in Sicily and naval carriers that could have gotten to our men long before our four Americans were killed. What about General Ham of the African command who was relieved of his command. He was in a position to send help. His testimony might have been interesting.

Gloria Stewart on January 24, 2013 at 3:17 pm

Gloria, I was wondering the same thing. I did not watch the hearing for fear of throwing something at my TV. Was anyone questioned about the response team and General Ham being fired for doing what he perceived as his duty.

WilliamMunny on January 25, 2013 at 8:42 am

to me, it was not a surprising answer from someone who transitioned from academia indoctrination – skipping the normal working struggles and dues-paying most americans experience – to ever-increasing levels of power, wealth and priveledge. she rode her impeached sex offender husbands’ political coat tails and HOW DARE anyone diminish her “accomplishments” by shoving the ugly demands of reality and responsibility into her face when she’s lived nothing but an unreal life in some uber-priveledged bubble!

kirche on January 24, 2013 at 3:31 pm

We learned nothing from this hearing other than our elected officials are not interested in accountability. They failed in their responsibility to those families to find out what happened in Benghazi and who was to blame. Those four murdered Americans deserved better.

And on an even more depressing note, it became crystal clear Hillary’s aiming for the Presidency in 2016. What else would have motivated her to wash her hair as it appears she had.

lee of the lower case "l" on January 24, 2013 at 3:53 pm

Well, I guess one advantage of Christie is that we wouldn’t be plagued by the PC campaign about healthful food in the schools, and all the nutty stuff about vending machines.

The only way the Republicans can win is by appealing to their base, and they’ll need more than talking about the deficit to do it, especially since they have done so much, even after the election,to contribute to it.

I think they could have won if they had made repeal of Obamacare a central part of their campaign, running a candidate who could make that promise credibly.

I’ve seen no sign that the base’s disgust with all leading (sic) Republicans has diminished in any significant way.

Re the Dems, could be Biden, could be Hillary, if her health holds up, a big if, but don’t forget Rhambo. Why else would someone like him want to be mayor of a cesspool like Chicago?

The guy has been Chief of Staff over and over again, a very high-ranking House Democrat, and it’s hard to believe he would want to be Mayor of Chicago, after his lengthy public career just to ultimately become a Senator, a position that he could have run for without bothering to be Mayor. I can’t see him wanting to be Governor, with all of Illinois’s problems, and all the other opportunities open to him. Nope, he’s aiming for it all.

I’m not impressed by ANYONE yesterday in the Cankles Clinton circle-jerk. If anything (not that it hasn’t been thoroughly cemented yet) it proved BEYOND A DOUBT that the GOP Congress is useless and and beyond neutered. It’s even more grim than JEG quite rightly says.

Gloria Stewart, you are also on the ball on this thread. I hope peeps will re-read your post because you packed in a heap of facts that the CONGRESS didn’t even tackle yesterday.

Count me in as someone who does NOT believe Cankles Clinton (you know, who likes to ogle Christina Aguilera’s pontoons) EVER had a head injury.

If you don’t know how low the Clintons can go you haven’t been paying attention and totally forget the 90’s. I never will and I was a Liberal for at least half of them.

This is a grand cover-up on BOTH sides. If you know your facts on Benghazi (and I know them quite well) you can’t help but be outraged by yesterday’s shenanigans.

I was gonna recount them now but perhaps it’s best if I just copy a letter I wrote a bit back to a local, Lib lying publication because it states many things you should know but perhaps you don’t…

Skunky on January 24, 2013 at 4:43 pm

**I edited it for some content that would not be understood unless you read the puerile editorial I was responding to…***

For fun I read your editorial column each week to see what liberal lies you tell your mindless readership.
This week’s column on “Benghazi Fever” was especially bait & switchy & full of lies. Here is how an
INFORMED reader tears your lies and sleight of hand apart. And your “Benghazi Fever” diagnosis is
actually liberal projection at it’s most base. Fake physician, heal thyself!

If UN Ambassador Susan Rice was NOT involved with Benghazi (at all) WHY did the White House
send her out to FIVE Sunday talk shows as its defender and spokesperson? Why didn’t they send
someone with direct knowledge then? The answer is because it was NOT an intelligence failure but
a leadership failure. And leadership had to cover up who ordered the stand down. THAT question
is still not known and if wasn’t Valerie Jarrett is was Barack Obama. He had to cover for his campaign
schlepping of “Al-Qaeda is on the run” brag. Which it is NOT. (And Rice would be rewarded for
making a fool of herself by getting the job Hillary Clinton will be soon vacating. Quid pro quo. Don’t
worry, the GOP in Congress are weak and lily-livered and only care about keeping their power. They
cower when the Donks tell them too. She’ll get the position.)

You can’t be intellectually honest and write an editorial on Benghazi without asking the question “WHO
ORDERED THE STAND DOWN”? When Americans learn that fact we will know whose fault it was
that 4 Americans were killed on American soil in Libya. You know the answer and that’s why you don’t
care. Your ideology trumps what is right and what is wrong. Pathetic!

The second question you did not ask or address was who put forth the anti-Islam video theory? That
turned out to be profoundly false but the Obama Administration saw fit to use it as a scapegoat for weeks
on end. The Coptic Christian who filmed the little-seen video was arrested and is now incarcerated on other
charges. There was no Islamic outrage rally and gathering at the “consulate” annex at all that evening. Just
a well-planned attack by a bunch of Jihadis knowing September 11th would be a great day to have a go
at the “evil west”.

You did not address how the administration and it’s spokespeople continue to lie and say “intelligence evolved”
when the fact is the whole 6 hour attack was watched in real time in DC. Department of State Security Official
Charlene Lamb was one of the officials who saw the 6 hour ordeal and testified to Congress that she did so. Also,
the US Command Center also saw and listened to the attack and DID NOTHING. You didn’t mention these facts
in your silly editorial. All that happened was seen in REAL TIME. That alone destroys the Obama lies.

You also failed to ask why we haven’t heard from the many evacuees who were saved by two of the men killed
and then taken to safety to Rammstein Airbase. Surely, if the American public hears from one of them we will
know what happened. No one even knows who they are. That’s not a mistake and you know it.

Two military men were relieved almost instantly from their positions when they decided to NOT listen to
the stand down order. General Carter Ham and Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette. Strangely enough, both
of those men are now early retiring. Not a coincidence. First removed in seconds when they were not
going to obey the “stand down” order and now they must early retire.

Why was Tyrone Woods painting a CODED target* in the air to pin-point the location of the hostile attack
if he knew no one was there to respond to the CODED target? Someone was up there. Somebody was told
to stand down. And Tyrone Woods died because of it. He was found slumped over the weapon he was
manning on the roof in Benghazi. He was also told to “stand down” but he was a brave man and didn’t
listen to the ‘stand down’ order when he knew the right thing to do was try to help his fellow Americans
not let them be slaughter Jihadi style.

What about the backtracking of Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper? Clapper first stated that the
changes made to Susan Rice’s talking points that Sunday were made OUTSIDE of the Intelligence Community
and that he didn’t know who was responsible. Now he says HE made the changes and that INSIDE Intelligence
was responsible. Didn’t want to retire early I guess or be embarrassed like General Petraeus I guess. Chicago
politics can be convincing.

Your editorial wasn’t fit for a fifth grader and was barren of facts and long on liberal duplicity. My letter to you
details more facts than you addressed in that disgusting editorial. The Boston Phoenix is not interested in the
TRUTH. You’re only interested in assisting the craven and weak president who did NOT see or care about the
danger of Benghazi. Months earlier it was so dangerous that the British and The Red Cross moved out. Obama
is cowardly and craven and did not care about the American lives under attack in Benghazi and instead
manufactured a campaign of misinformation to obfuscate the horrible truth that he or Valerie Jarret ordered
the stand down. The American public needs to know WHO ORDERED THE STAND DOWN but the
Obama Administration will not even answer that simple question. If he does he will be rightfully impeached.
I wouldn’t bet on it because the GOP in the legislative branch are a bunch of Stockholm Syndromed liberal
weaklings who only answer to their democrat overlords.

You also fail to understand that Ambassador Stevens was authorized by both the US State Department and
the Obama Administration to aid and abet individuals and groups that were allied with terrorist group Al Qaeda
and was the official US liaison to those terrorists. He spear-headed and aided with what those terrorists did
to Qaddafi and strangely enough received the same hellish torture by those Jihadi terrorists that Qaddafi got. A 5th grader
could see what a dangerous gamble that was. And lastly, the area of the attack was NOT an official consulate
but a CIA annex. Some have said that terrorist detainees were housed there. If so, that would be a direct violation
of Obama’s OWN Executive Order #134.91. More high crimes. But you’re not interested in those facts. It would
be too much for your brain dead readership and you must do ANYTHING to protect your lord and savior Barack
Hussein Obama.

Oh, and I guess The Boston Phoenix never read the UN report (an entity liberal know-nothings like you embrace)
from 2004 that talked about the Iraqi “weapons of mass destruction” found. You should acquaint yourself with
it. Not that the truth matters to disingenuous clowns like you. The truth means NOTHING to you or your brain
dead readership but at least I can amuse myself with the silly lies you tell because I have done my homework and don’t
like sanctimonious liberal hypocrisy.

***The Coded Target TW painted could only be painted IF he was also given a code from an allied entity that sent him a code TOO. This is a vital question on Benghazi you almost never hear discussed. That means someone was above him but when he painted the code from HIS end the other entity did NOTHING and that is why he died…found slumped over his artillery.****

Please stop treating this incident like it’s just a case of aw-shucks stupidity or incompetence.

Know this: someone who was drawing a paycheck from the U.S. taxpayer sat in an office an calmly organized an al-Qaeda media blitz. The campaign justified the killings on the basis of Islamic “grievance” over a video.

When you give “aid and comfort to the enemy,” you have committed treason. Who organized the media blitz? And why is that person continuing to draw a government paycheck (instead of the considerably smaller one they give to prisoners)?

What’s relevant is not necessarily what the motives behind the attack were but that her administration deliberately mislead the public as to those motives.

That’s her misdirection here.

They must have been aware that it wasn’t a spontaneous uprising shortly after the attack if not during unless they’re so clueless that they should be held responsible for negligence.
There’s every reason to suspect that security was so low because they were lending support to the insurgents and they thought that would guarantee the safety of the embassy staff.

Well you were wrong Hilary.
Just like you’re wrong about everything else.
Except this time your incompetence got US ambassador Chris Stevens killed.

You don’t understand the middle east just like you don’t understand the world or even your own country which is why you’re a disaster for all of them. Yes, you with that stupid smug self satisfied look of idiotic superiority. You’re are a useless politician and a useless human being.
Your country will look back on your era with shame if it isn’t blotted out memory entirely.
Go back to you real estate and wall street scams you seedy little grifter.

The only thing Hilary Clinton is good at is lying with straight face which she probably picked up from her husband Bill. There’s a very good reason she never left him.
Do two bigger frauds exist in the world today?

Sorry, Clintons always get me in a typo rage…

The Daily Rash just posted the transcript of Al Sharpton’s interview with Hillary Clinton. Not only did Sharpton inquire about Benghazi, he even brought up Bill and Monica. I don’t know who the bigger fool is….Hillary or Rev. Al. http://www.thedailyrash.com/al-sharpton-talks-to-hillary-clinton-about-benghazi-blood-clots-and-bills-penis

Am I the only one to notice how much smoother and wrinkle free Hillary’s face is compared to photos last September? I guess she utilized her time while her much publicized blood clot was dissolving.

This clip exposes Hillary’s bald, raw, abject, unadorned, willfully evil proclivities. All due respect…
