Joe Biden & Chains: Why Do Obama Officials Get to Talk Like (& Mock) Black People?

By Debbie Schlussel

They gonna put y’all back in chains. He said he gonna do nothin’ ’bout stoppin’ the practice of outsourcin’.

–Joe LaMarcus JaRon Tyrone Cedric Biden (Da Veep Whoz Down Wit Da Struggle), August 14, 2012

On Election Day 2000, I had planned to throw my vote away on a Libertarian candidate for President and convinced my dad to do the same. We were disgusted by then-Governor Bush’s pandering to Muslims, which was so bad that he beat Al Gore to get the worthless Islamic endorsement. (He also said in the October 2000 Presidential Debate that he was against profiling Arabs and Muslims for terrorism.) But that morning my TV was on, and as I was getting ready to go to the polls to vote, I heard Barbra Streisand tell Rosie O’Donnell that if George W. Bush was elected, we would return to the Dark Ages and the days of the concentration camps (which–newsflash, Streisand–are two different time periods). I was so incensed at this absurd, patently false, inciteful uber-hyperbole for dummies, that I went straight to the voting booth and cast my vote for Bush (a mistake, as my earlier inclination was correct–he was an Islamopanderer when we least needed one). When I was in high school, my father and I watched as Marxist beak-endowed Carl Levin shamelessly told a group of Jewish senior citizens that Ronald Reagan would take them back to the Holocaust. My dad was proudly voting for Reagan anyway, but this energized us to work for his election that much harder. And, so, I was reminded of those moments when I watched today’s latest Joe Biden BS moment in which he tried to scare Black people into thinking Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will put them back in chains and take them back to slavery. I’m not enthused about Romney at all, but statements like that only encourage me to vote for him.

Only One White Chick Can Get Away With Talking Like That (& She Don’t Work Fo’ Obama, Ya Feel Me?) . . .

My question, though, is why Black people allow this. Why do so many of them have no problem with people who speak the Queen’s English (or close to it) suddenly patronizing them with this BS Black accent, dropping their “g”s at the end of “ing”-words and using ghetto-like improper grammar and “y’all”s? If Paul Ryan used a phony Yiddish accent at a Jewish event, I’d be disgusted (but he has more class than that, and a much larger brain than that of Joe Biden). I don’t like panderers. I don’t like when Sarah Palin wears a Jewish Star. Don’t pander to me. But, Black America, seems to tolerate this despicable fawning in a way the rest of us never would. Joe Biden isn’t the first to pretend he was raised on the set of “Good Times.” Another Obamanik, Hillary Clinton, did it, too. Remember her dumb Black accent at a Black church (in the video, above)? Sho’ nuff. See, I can’t get away with that. So why do they allow liberals to mock them?

I wouldn’t dream of saying to my Black neighbors (I live in a mostly-Black apartment building in a mostly-Black neighborhood in a mostly-Black city), “No, you di’in’t. You know datz right! I’ma tell you what. A’ight.” It’s degrading to talk to people that way. It’s talking down to them. And, yet, when Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton do it, they get away with it. And they get away with the “return to slavery” warnings, when we are a nation of affirmative action extraordinaire, minority set-asides, and other special treatment to the disadvantage of Whites. It’s absurd.

I can’t wait ’til the all-White remake of “Roots” starring Joe Kunte Kinte Biden. Or Hillary in Whoopi Goldberg’s lesbian slave role in “The Color Purple.”

The Paul Ryan-Joe Biden debate cannot come soon enough.

And dat ain’t no jive, bro. Word.

Hilarious – Joe Biden is good for the entertainment value!

I thought Ebonics was ghetto slang. I am embarrassed when high federal officials speak to black Americans like they are dumbed down children.

Then again, this is exactly the America liberals have created and they don’t really aspire to anything better – including telling black people living on the Liberal Plantation is just fine for them.

Blacks will eat this garbage up, because what Biden is really saying is that the welfare gravy train will end, and you will have to work for your money. Now, I don’t believe welfare is going to end, but that does not matter. He got his message across, loud and clear.

Jonathan E. Grant on August 14, 2012 at 4:37 pm

Jon,

Its about racist voting. 90% of blacks will pull the lever for Obama because they ARE racist.

But its not permitted to bring it up in polite society.

NormanF on August 14, 2012 at 4:50 pm

I wonder if Joe was recalling one of his bondaged themed fundraisers?

Uncle Joe also gets to make fun of the deaf: http://nation.foxnews.com/joe-biden/2012/08/14/video-biden-imitates-sign-language-lady

So, if you are a Democrat, you get to be as racist as you want to be and as offensive to the handicapped as you please. Who knew?

Worry01 on August 14, 2012 at 5:23 pm

Yeah Worry remember when Crazy Joe said that you couldn’t walk into a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have an Indian accent. This man has been saying stupid stuff for over 30 years and getting away with it. Why? Because he is a dumbocrat.

Yessir, he was really getting into it. The only thing missing was the organ. Maybe he and Hillary will pick up on that next time.

Yo, this is a bipartisan thing, know what I’m sayin’? Back in the early Nineties, on any number of occasions, “Brutha” Jack Kemp, as HUD secretary, talked the inner-city homey talk to his overwhelmingly black audiences. I would stand in the back of the room, simply appalled at his shamless pandering. But it worked. The aging black mamas/public housing tenant activists ate it up. They went wild.

Of course, none of this helped Kemp’s boss, George H.W. Bush, get re-elected. Why should it? When it comes to serving free lunches to blacks, the Democrats are still the kings. And blacks, for the most part, love a free lunch.

Seek on August 14, 2012 at 5:25 pm

So they voted for Dole-Kemp in 1996, then?

Everything you need to know about black hatred and venom is summed up in that Selwyn Duke column about “black grievance” never ending. Highly recommended.

80% of blacks borne today have mothers who have i.q.s of less than 100 and this is what you get from the welfare state.people then elect dopes like biden and his son to public office because they promis people free stuff you don’t have to work for like free health care.of course there is no money for this bull shit but nitwits keep voting for nit wits like joe and kennedy or criss dodd. i was no bush fan but he was still better than the national socialist democrats.then we elected a semi-raghead named bongo hussian or some thing like that.what can we do to make our polititions understand just how dangerous musslums are to the republic when they can understand why there is not enough in the world of all of their free bees.

If Bill Clinton could mount a third-party campaign for a third term, I swear I would vote for him. It’d be the first time that stinker ever got my support.

He would be the most conservative of the three candidates. Which is a sad commentary indeed.

Statusmonkey on August 15, 2012 at 3:00 am

Well said, and for the record, I’ve been away from my computer for half the day (this is the first time since early afternoon I’ve been on my computer), and I heard this sound-byte clip on Michael Savage’s show about an hour ago (a substitute fill-in is subbing for Savage) and I said to myself, “hmm, I wanna know if Debbie Schlussel will write a column about this”, and viola, DS did a right the column and I couldn’t agree with you anymore Debbie.

And BTW, for some to a few of you aren’t sure, I happen to be a black person who’s pretty conservative on many issues (I have a few libertarian views here and there), also an Independent and an Individualists as well. And I’m also a fan and supporter of DS herself, and you’re right Debbie, this is nothing but pandering and placating, and to me it’s disgusting and pathetic. And you also explained that George Bush Jr. did the samething 12 years ago when he pandered to the muslim community in this country, and well all remembered how Bush pandered to muslims here in the country and worldwide.

And the sad thing is that many of us blacks will more likely forget about this demagoguging and pandering thing that Joe Biden did and pull the lever for Obama no matter what. To me left wingers think that all of us black people (including myself) can’t think for ourselves, can’t use logic, can’t use critical thinking, etc. And I myself happen to be a black-liberal’s worst nightmare!

BTW, and OT, you know that slogan “Forward”? In Hebrew it would be “Kadima,” and I’d say the resonances for Jews should be obvious.

Debbie-lah where you live is there even a shul you can walk to? If I visit would we smoke blunts and drink 40’s? I would knock you up and then come by the first of each month to visit you and little A1.

A1 on August 14, 2012 at 8:29 pm

Debbie, A1 is obviously a psycho. And, while I’m not exactly an enforcer of halacha, his insistence on associating Judaism with pornography reflects poorly on this site.

I mean, it’s one thing to be “transgressive,” in the cause of art or social commentary, but that’s not what A1 is about.

    Please do something about him.

    Thanks.

skzion on August 15, 2012 at 12:22 am

A1, dude I agree with the other posters here. I’m pretty certain that Debbie would not like to “smoke blunts, “drink 40s” and “get knocked up” by you. You seriously have issues and you need to chill out and fine out what they are because your behavior is bordering on the pathetic.

    Ken b on August 15, 2012 at 11:01 am

A1, have you ever thought of running for office? You would make a great running mate for the mentally challenged Joe Biden.

Rochelle on August 15, 2012 at 4:38 pm

A1, bro could you please stop this obession and fantasy with Debbie, it’s almost worst than some muslim trolls who comment here once in a while, and use sexually explicit rhetoric towards DS. Saying that you’ll “knock” up DS, that’s just going past the third-rail man and going too far.

Funny piece and true.

Debbie, it wouldn’t kill you to move into a safer location then drive into Detroit for your legal practice. I keep thinking I’m going to turn on the news and hear, “The body of Debbie Schlussel was found today…”

I’ve been to Michigan many times. It is a beautiful state with many nice places to live.

KC on August 14, 2012 at 9:18 pm

Guess the republicans are to scared to use this as a teaching moment. Point out that it was the republicans that freed the slaves. It was the democrats who created the KKK to stop the slaves from voting and created the Jim Crow laws in the south. It was the republicans that wrote and passed the civil rights laws, while the democrats, led by a kkk senator, filibustered it and failed. The democrats then got smart instead of preventing blacks from voting, buy their vote by putting them on the welfare plantation. It has worked for 60 years.

ender on August 14, 2012 at 9:46 pm

Oh, boy. Another peddler of this “Klan = Democrat = liberal” meme. For the record, EVERYONE in the Old South after the Civil War was a Democrat, including those who fought it (they eventually had massive help from Northern Democrats). And it stayed that way for a century. Nominal membership in the party was utterly beside the point for those who joined.

The Klan was defined by three things: 1) complete racial separation; 2) secrecy, all the better to intimidate; and 3) Protestantism (they passionately opposed Catholics, who for the record, also were heavily Democratic). How do you think the Klan operated — as a Democratic Party think tank?

I, too, oppose the Democrats. But for heaven’s sake, let’s oppose it for the right reason, not the wrong one. The Democrats are the anti-white party. That, and that alone, merits voting against them. One lousy book by Jonah Goldberg can’t rewrite history.

rocker on August 14, 2012 at 10:09 pm

rocker, you totally missed ender’s point.
It’s not that Democrats are racist Klansmen, it’s that racist Klansmen are democrats.
The Demoncrat libtards have been flipping the story around for the past 60+ years (blaming repulicans for what they did and taking credit for what the republicans did) and it’s getting pretty tiring hearing the same old BS lies.
Only about 20% of democrats actually consider themselves liberals, I think most just don’t know the facts.

theShadow on August 14, 2012 at 11:02 pm

Sorry my mistake: I think it’s 20% of the American voters (who are democrats) consider themselves liberals. Anyway rocker, you make some good points.

theShadow on August 14, 2012 at 11:10 pm

You forgot 4) they were fierce collectivists. Just look at the 1930s: to a man, EVERY last one of the supposedly “conservative” Southern democrats in Congress were ultra-ultra-ULTRRRRAAAA!!! New Dealers. FAR more so than anyone from the northeast. Apparently virulent racism was the SOLE “conservative” trait of these Southern pols. Which makes it pretty clear that it is actually a liberal characteristic.

Say, I wonder, did Obama pick Biden to get the Catholic vote? Did Romney pick Paul Ryan for the same reason? I’m bettin’ it’s a big part of the whole equation.

theShadow on August 14, 2012 at 11:30 pm

Joe Biden is pro-abortion and gay marriage. How would that turn on a Catholic, who would vote like a Catholic? Also, it is rather insulting to Ryan to think that being a Roman Catholic was his primary value. Look where being a vocal Roman Catholic got Rick Santorum.

The reason Congressman Ryan was selected by Mitt Romney was because of his conservative credentials, his willingness to confront Barack Obama and his policies in a very public way, and his ability to connect with an audience. Those are the things that Mitt Romney lacks to a greater or lesser extent.

    Worry01 on August 15, 2012 at 1:11 am

“Joe Biden is pro-abortion and gay marriage. How would that turn on a Catholic, who would vote like a Catholic?”
True, but many so called Catholics are quite liberal in their views. I’ll even bet Santorum was ’embarrassingly a bit too catholic’ for some of them. Maybe a religious extremist even.

NO, I don’t think Ryan was picked for his catholicism, I was just wondering, with Joe Bite-me being one of those liberal catholics, if that wasn’t a part for Ryan being Romney’s choice. A small plus to his resume maybe?

Weren’t dems the champions of slavery in the first place?

“Ignorance has always been the weapon of tyrants; enlightenment the salvation of the free.”

jdiz on August 15, 2012 at 9:32 am

It’s worth noting that the most fervent and intelligent defense of slavery was George Fitzhugh just before the Civil War. The basis of slavery is the family, he tells us. He radically opposed capitalism, which he called wage slavery. The north was a slave society too, but there were no responsible slave masters. See Cannibals All! for details.

Fitzhugh was for family-based socialism.

skzion on August 15, 2012 at 10:54 am

In other words, Statusmonkey, southern society was predisposed to think kindly of collectivist solutions involving a powerful elite, but slavery was not liberal solution, just an alternative collectivist solution.

skzion on August 15, 2012 at 11:01 am

Poor old Joe(BFD)Biden has done it again. So according to this brainiac the policies of a Romney administration will put my fellow Blacks in chains. This is what we’ve come to expect from the Democrat Pary in general and doofusses like Biden in particular. Just like clock work they feel that they have to act like fools and pander to the Black community to remind us that the evil white Republicans want to put us back on the plantation. This is one of the main reason why I’m a Black conservative because nothing infuriates me more than having some dumbass politician whether it be a Slick Willy Clinton, PIAPS, Obumbler, or Biden pandering to me. For years Democrats have thought that Blacks can’T think for ourselves and need help from the almighty gub’mint. It boggles my mind to see intelligent Blacks fall for this crap every election cycle. The fact that we elevate dipwads like Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson doesn’t help matters. Black people need to wake up and realize that the Democrat Party doesn’t have our interests at heart. If they did do you think that idiots like Biden would talk to us like we’re retards. I don’t think so.

So we have a story against racism and look in the comments, from people that claim to be libertarians, it seems like racism is also promoted. Grass roots activism on THIS issue seems like simply a mirrored progressive grassroots view.

We need to return to the traditional conservative view of equality, while understanding equal opportunity doesn’t = promised results. People accuse liberals of elistism, but I see it in comments here when its stated “they don’t have an IQ over 100”.

Some will miss my message of equality here, that BOTH progressives and the new-age libertarian (as opposed to the more objectivist classical libertarian views) are promoting their own brand of racism. Again, we need to return to traditional conservative values on this subject (which are constitutional) and stop with the far right elistism rhetoric. Black conservatism is ON THE RISE. Lets continue this trend.

Perhaps Biden robot is deliberately fucking up to then allow Mrs. Clinton a way into the White House, again.

If I were a dem strategist I would leak that Biden robot is stepping down as VP on the ticket due to “health issues”, etc. the day after the end of the rep convention.

Then the buzz from that time until November would be on Mrs. Clinton.

Just thinking out loud…

Overheard a short discussion at work between a liberal white male and a very Christian black female.
Looking disgusted he said: Did you hear what Joe Biden said? Unbeleiveable!
…She replied: Why, what do you mean?
…He proceeded to read the article from the paper ending with: “They gonna put y’all back in chains”
…Without hesitation she replied: “Well he’s right!”

My point is that with the hardcore Obama supporters it ain’t gonna make a helluva difference. With the on-the-fence voters, maybe, just maybe.

Will they throw old senile uncle Joe under the bus in favor of Hellary? Why Not!? Anything is possible under Obama, unless of course it’s something good for America.
