Obama Immigration Policy Allowed Saudi Muslim Qaeda Fan on Flight After Drunk Driving, Attempted Murder

By Debbie Schlussel

Yesterday, I told you about the dry run/testing the system episode featuring a Saudi Muslim on a Continental Airline flight on Tuesday night. The man yelled, “allahu akhbar,” sang in praise of Osama Bin Laden (hey, buddy, he’s dead!), and yelled about his hatred of women. Now, we’re learning more about this Islamo-thug, including that the man is an illegal alien.  It’s yet more proof that the Obama/Bush immigration policy of not arresting illegal aliens without criminal records is a failure. It’s also evidence that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents under Obama aren’t even allowed to follow that policy. If they were, Yazeed Mohammed Abunayyan would never have been on that flight. He led police on a drunk driving chase Sunday Night in Oregon, in which he deliberately rammed into two police cars and tried to murder innocent people.

Obama ICE Didn’t Deport Muslim Illegal Alien Yazeed Mohammed Abunayyan, Allowed Him on Flight to Conduct Dry Run

So, why was he allowed to bond out of jail and fly around the country?  I’d bet the ranch that his bond agreement required him to stay in Oregon.  And I’d also bet he didn’t seek a judge’s order allowing him to fly out of the state.  Was he planning to flee the U.S. and avoid justice, once he got to Houston, the final destination of the flight?

Abunayyan is a Saudi national and not a U.S. citizen, something the federal indictment of him goes to great pains to avoid discussing. It isn’t clear if he’s here legally on a visa or not. Regardless, once he led police on a drunk driving car chase and crashed into their cars, he was clearly in criminal violation of any visa on which he could possibly be in the United States, making him an illegal alien whether he had a visa or not.  And he should have never been granted bond of any sort, as it’s in complete contravention of U.S. immigration laws.

Why was he not turned over to ICE? Why didn’t ICE take him? I’ve heard of so many situations in which ICE has been called to pick up illegal aliens like him, and they decline. And I wonder what actually happened here. Did Oregon police contact ICE? If they didn’t, that’s another Barack Obama failure. Obama just canceled a program that trained local police on how to identify illegal aliens and turn them over to ICE for deportation, and as I first reported here, Obama hired a clown who opposed immigration enforcement to run the program into the ground in the first place.  Thanks Barack. And we can thank Obama ICE chief, John Morton, too. He’s too consumed with using ICE and his personal employment agency and travel agent (in his quest to get a showbiz legal job) to worry about immigration enforcement or the dangers aliens like Abunayyan pose to average American travelers who don’t travel in style like he does.

More:

The man who repeatedly yelled “Allah is great” as he was removed yesterday from a plane that was forced to make an emergency landing due to his unruly behavior is a 19-year-old Saudi Arabian who was arrested Sunday night after he led Oregon police on a drunken car chase that saw him ram two cop cars and attempt to run over pedestrians, The Smoking Gun has learned. . . .

Abunayyan . . . also hit or attempted to hit other passengers and was “speaking or singing about Usama bin Laden and his hatred of women,” the indictment charges. Abunayyan, who reportedly has been in the U.S. visiting relatives, was charged with a felony count of interfering with flight crew members. . . .

Abunayyan, who is scheduled to appear later this afternoon before a federal magistrate, was arrested Sunday evening by cops after a wild car chase in Medford, an Oregon city 275 miles south of Portland.

Police reported that the intoxicated teenager led them on a 20-minute chase that ended after his Ford sedan got stuck on a dirt embankment. During the chase, Abunayyan was spotted driving in circles, attempting to run over pedestrians, and driving the wrong way on a street. He also rammed two patrol cars.

“It was like ‘Grand Theft Auto’,” a witness told a local newspaper.

Abunayyan was booked late Sunday into the Jackson County jail on a variety of charges, including driving under the influence of intoxicants, assault on a police officer, criminal mischief, hit and run, and reckless endangerment.

He was freed from custody Monday around 6 PM after posting $65,000 bond. Which allowed him, a day later, to board Flight 1118, albeit briefly.

Again, if Barack Obama allowed ICE agents to do their jobs and to properly train local law enforcement officials to help them do it, Abunayyan would still be behind bars, either in Oregon or an ICE detention center awaiting deportation.

If we were serious and enforced our nation’s immigration laws, Abunayyan would never have been on the Continental flight to Houston, on which he could have cost a whole plane full of passengers and crew their lives.

That he got on that plane shows that 10.5 years after 9/11, our national security is a joke. He got on that plane, but you and I will still be forced to take off our shoes and get felt up by TSA.

Only in America.

Debbie has done great work in pursuing and exposing this story. The same can’t be said for much of the media which continue to whitewash this story (assuming they cover it at all). The most egregious appeared in today’s Express, a free Washington paper popular among Metro riders. They reported this story on page 2, intended for brief, light-hearted tales . Here it is in its entirety:

‘Your Device is Upsetting The Normal Smokers, Sir’

An airline passenger who refused to turn off an electronic cigarette could face a federal charge in Portland, Ore. The man was held by the FBI Tuesday after he was taken off a Continental Airlines flight. E-cigarettes, which heat a liquid nicotine solution, are not specifically prohibited by the Transportation Safety Administration on commercial planes. They are banned by Continental Airlines, however. (AP)

That’s it. So unless there were *two* incidents this week involving Continental and Portland, AP at least is telling us “Nothing to see here, unless you want a chuckle.”

I think we need to try and understaaaand his deep seeded pent-up anger. He might still be “sore” at being constantly sodomized as a young boy. It says he was from Saudi Arabia but he might have visited Afganistan as a child. Please see Bacha-Bazi. ROTFLOL!!!

Debbie,

The interesting part is this Salafist drank plenty of alcohol, supposedly haram under Islam, before he got behind the wheel. Yup, Islamic restrictions on alcohol consumption, that’s not something they have to worry about. As usual, we pander for a moral fraud who only pretends to be a pious Muslim. The real piety comes out with the jihad and all the other stuff.

Like Driving For Jihad. We’re lucky no one, including the law enforcement officers who finally stopped him, were killed as a result of his criminal drunk driving.

Good luck though, with getting him deported for a criminal violation of the terms of his visa. Only in America!

NormanF on February 23, 2012 at 1:50 pm

We need a new charge for muslims who drink and then practice Jihad. Perhaps “Jihad under the influence” or JUI. In some states we can call it “JWI” depending on the local convention.

Any military personnel who voted for or will vote for obumble again should hang their heads in shame.

Hi Debbie. I’d like to see Obama put this guy on AF1 to show how confident he is in his security policies. Debbie, H. and I are happy to offer our services as your travel companions/entourage. We will make sure you are comfy and warm and won’t let you take any unsupervised baths. I will make sure you only eat kosher foods and will speak to male workers for you. H. and I aren’t chalav Yisroel but if you prefer we can adjust to your minhag.

And I bet Abunayyan sailed right thru airport security while granny got felt up by the TSA.

Jarhead on February 23, 2012 at 3:37 pm

Yup, he did. Islamic terrorists are allowed to board our aircraft while the rest of us must be humiliated and degraded for our own “protection.”

Like Debbie said, only in America!

NormanF on February 23, 2012 at 3:46 pm

Debbie: two things bothers me. Who raised the $65,000 for his bond? Relatives here? Its a lot of money for someone charged with a felony drunk driving and hit and run offense. And second, no one at TSA flagged this guy for an arrest record BEFORE allowing him on that Continental flight?

Like I said, it bothers me and the story doesn’t have answers to these questions.

What is clear is there are very big holes in our national security net, holes big enough for Islamic terrorists to get an out of jail card and be able to obtain a get to fly for Allah card! Its not a good sign.

NF: Great points/questions. I just figured he was a wealthy Saudi of some sort. Also, they don’t say if the $65,000 is a cash/surety bond or some percentage thereof, which is usually a lot less (could be $650 or $6,500). I would hope someone who commits a crime like that had to pay the full $65K to bond out (though he shouldn’t have been given bond at all). DS

NormanF on February 23, 2012 at 3:55 pm

Debbie, I would bet he would get a longer sentence on state as opposed to the federal charges.

That said, good luck if he is ever deported from this country once he has served his time behind bars.

NormanF on February 23, 2012 at 6:26 pm

since when Muslims drink alcohol???

pat on February 23, 2012 at 11:00 pm

The bosnian muslims here in my town are SOTS!! Couple of them have spent time in jail for driving drunk and hit and run.
muslims are first an foremost hypocrites…. they drink, they fornicate and the rape kids… PIGS are better than them anyday!

Alabama Pride on February 23, 2012 at 11:25 pm

They patronize prostitutes and sleep with them. The most puritanical Muslims are moral frauds. They openly flout the rules of their own religion, contravene every rule known to G-d and man alike and they commit mass murder by shouting their god is greater than all the other gods.

Its embarrassing we show goodwill to people who are such blatant hypocrites. And not only goodwill, we give them license to try to kill us. Its been almost 12 years since 9/11 and this country has learned nothing since and forgotten everything. We act like what happened to us is our fault and we and not they need to make amends for the past.

I’m just fed up with America’s fawning obsequiousness to the very people who hate our guts and try literally to kill us every day.

Is it me, or does John “Moron” Morton look like SNL actor Bill Hader? Being an SNL actor would be a position more befitting for Morton than is his being the ICE chief.

One of the issues with our immigration laws is that legally admitted aliens cannot be booted by simply labeling them “undesirable.” Most countries, if you are an asshole, they just put you on a plane. Here, no so much. If he was a F1 student, ICE couldn’t touch him until he was convicted of the attempted murder charge or some other serious assault charge. DWI conviction? Have a nice day and enjoy the U.S. Multiple DWIs do not get you deported. Even without the current “Morton Guidelines,” which limit ICE enforcement because the administration don’t want to separate families or other hard working guests (tongue in cheek), he may have been allowed to stay. That is how fucked up our laws are.

Now if he was out of status, he should have been hooked up. The fact that the complaint doesn’t give his status just means the FBI did not involve ICE in the investigation. They have no idea how Title 8 works and constantly fuck it up.

ColtonSmith on February 24, 2012 at 6:57 am

You know Debbie; I am sorry to say that Kirche is right and the biggest ass-holes are our government officials who act as Lackies to the Saudi influence in the USA financed by their master mole Al-Waleed bin Tallal. The Top advisor to Hillary Clinton is a Moslem. The advisor to the Pentagon is a Moslem. It appears to me that the advisors to our Congress are Moslems. Se them negociate with tMoslem Brotherhoods and tell Egypt that this is in their best interest. I am saddednned to see the USA in this abyss. It really wrenches my heart.

G. R. Scharoubim on February 24, 2012 at 11:19 am

The old miltary axiom FUBAR is sadly still appropriate.
From what I hear our commander in chief is presently working jointly with his Saudi advisors and the American Charmin company to develop a new softer less violent version of the Quran.

Ron Wolf on February 24, 2012 at 8:36 pm

I don’t know about this specific case Debbie, but if an alien was in the U.S. on a valid visa, he couldn’t lose his status just by being arrested. He would need a conviction and one involving more than a single DWI. We’ve had some success in the past when someone receives a felony conviction for multiple DWI’s in classifying that as a Crime Involving Moral Turpitude (CIMT). Even a conviction for assault without a sufficient sentence and underlying statement of facts supporting violence won’t get you deported. It’s one of the reasons why spouse abusers plead down from domestic violence charges to assault: to avoid deportation consequences.

Now, if he was out of status, the Oregon PD could have contacted ICE. If it is the case the guy was IN a valid nonimmigrant status, the problem in this situation is that our laws are not sufficient, and not a policy issue. In a perfect world, it should be pretty simple: if you are here on a visitor’s visa and get convicted of ANY crime, you GO! Nothing complicated about that—-except getting Congress to enact a law to make it happen.

please on February 24, 2012 at 9:08 pm

    please…

The laws used to be sufficient until politicians and PC got in the way. They watered everything down, tied our hands, and made it almsot insurmountable to get any of the pukes deported. Another flaw is the waivers that were put on almost every exclusion/deportation; give them several “outs” when they should have have been cut and dried cases….you break the law, you’re gone!

Understand that most of the laws, especially after the Immigration Reform of 1996 (Thanks Bill!) were written by beltway lawyers that had no clue about immigration law. Explain to me why murder is a CIMT (Crime Involving Moral Turpitude) yet Vehicular Manslaughter (especially DUI) is not? This is the kind of absurdity that allows deportable aliens to skate.

This same “nice boy” was just arrested for april 8 drive by shooting that killed 2 Saudi cops with assistance from Islamic State. Government knew about ramming police cars and nearly hijacking an airliner, but judged he showed no extremist signs. More here:
