HAMAS, Hezbollah Give Halal Approval to “Simpsons” Episode on Sharia Threat

By Debbie Schlussel

As you may know, Sunday Night, “The Simpsons” featured an episode that mentions Dearbornistan (though only as “Dearborn”) and sharia at the University of Michigan-Dearbornistan.  Reader Jon Grant thought it was funny and describes the show:

It was a look at 30 years into the future at Christmas time. The Lisa Simpson has married Milhouse, but he is allergic to the spices and smells of Christmas so he goes to Michigan, one of the states that practices Sharia Law. He is so ugly that they make him wear a burka. It was a great, and rare, television reference.

Limits to Growth also liked the episode.

On the other hand, the show met with the approval of both HAMAS and Hezbollah representatives in the Detroit area, who said the episode mocks and ridicules those of us who have pointed out the growing threat of Islam and sharia in America, specifically in Detroit. Leave it to the Islamo-pandering FOX News owned-and-operated Detroit affiliate, FOX 2 News, to inset opinion and falsehoods into the report. Bill Gallagher, the leftist dhimmi reporter, has bragged to me that his daughter spent her academic career studying Islam and told me of his close friendship with Islamic terrorist and immigration/marriage fraud perpetrator Imad Hamad. In the text of his report, he reports as fact that sharia does not in any way govern Dearbornistan. I can show many instances that prove him wrong. But he’s a useful idiot, and his commentary shouldn’t pass as “reporting.”  It isn’t.  Oh, and where’s the opposing view?  Don’t hold your breath for that.

In Gallagher’s FOX 2 News report below, he makes sure to get the halal seal of approval for the Simpsons episode from HAMAS CAIR Action Network’s Dawud Walid a/k/a criminal Delano Anthony Willis, Jr., and Suehaila Amen, who led Hezbollah and HAMAS rallies and heads the Lebanese-American Heritage Club. She’s also the “star” of TLC’s “All-American Muslim.”

‘Simpsons’ Episode References Dearborn: MyFoxDETROIT.com

Limits to Growth, just like Jon Grant, says that the episode did not, in fact, mock the anti-sharia position.  On the contrary.  And I wouldn’t put it past the HAMAS CAIR/Hezbollah All-American Muslim crowd to lie for PR purposes.  That’s what Muslims do. Even when they lose, they try to present it as some warped victory for allah. If they whined about “The Simpsons” on top of whining about Lowe’s and everything else they whine about every time they break a nail, it would show, yet again, what we already know:  that they have zero sense of humor. And, after all, University of Michigan-Dearborn is, in fact, the place where they replaced handicapped bathrooms with Muslim footbaths paid for by tax money, a story I broke on this site.

Jon Grant:

Why does the media have to ask the Muslims if the cartoon was okay? Why do they get pre-approval or post-disapproval on movies, television shows, the news, etc?

Exactly. Why? Because the media–including FOX News, which runs this station and its news operation–is politically correct to Islam to the death of Western society.

Did you see “The Simpsons” episode on Sunday Night? Was it “mocking” those of us who see the very real threat of sharia, as the Hezbollah/HAMAS people claim? Sounds like Jon and Limits to Growth have it right. And the Muslims are lying.

Sharia is alive in Dearborn. Who you kidding? This report by DS is right on.

sturgis on December 13, 2011 at 5:46 pm

DS always says that they are winning. Slowly. She is so right (not that I doubted her).

DS, I noticed you used the word “dhimmi”. I was told today that it was hate speech and to please refrain from using it (on the dumb site’s comments board). Of course I would have never have used it IF (after I posted some corrections to a column saying the Christian “Right Wing” was waging an “Anti-Muslim” war against a “wholesome” TV show) a bunch of uninformed dhimmis did not come on like a house on fire saying how bigoted I was. When I asked why “dhimmi” was hate speech, here is the dopey response I received from the site….

“You appear to be using as an insult, which is forbidden, and also by this definition:

The Dhimmi is the Arabic term that refers to its non-Islamic embracing population that has the ignominious dishonor of living in Islamic conquered lands. In a similar manner to the Jewish reference to a non-Jew as being a goy, so too the term dhimmi refers to non-Muslims. However unlike the Jewish term, goy, and much more important, the dhimmi is a distinctly subjugated second class non-citizen almost slave who is subjected to dictatorial deprivation of any legal and human rights since he is a non-Muslim permanent resident in a Muslim state.”

Of course they deleted my initial post which called to task the “author” for NOT including the vital info that people are supporting Lowes because the show is not open and honest about the subject matter (Suehaila Amen and her support of Aytollah Khomeini and CAIR and Hezbollah and Hamas).

When non-Muslim entities are enacting such foolishness is it any wonder? And why does “dhimmi” have to be compared to “goy”? Goy has always been a fun and good-natured word and I don’t think it and “dhimmi” are akin.

An uphill battle. we gotta get through the dumb dhimmis to wake them up even before we get to the Jihadi frontline. A very sad sign of how PC has infected the society.

The wife and I were both surprised at the sharia michigan joke. The Simpsons have gotten pretty liberal in mocking the right and gun owners. So it appears the joke was safe enough to be viewed from both sides, depending on how you look at it. It was not controversial enough by the show to know which way the joke was meant to be taken.

Ender on December 13, 2011 at 7:21 pm

Didn’t wal-mart get permission, hire terrorists and agree to price fixing to appease their muslim overlords in dearborn?

Ender on December 13, 2011 at 7:23 pm

“that they have zero sense of humor.”

Debbie, the islamist are like their brothers and sisters of the ultra far-left, you are correct, they have NO sense of humor and they don’t know the definition of sarcasm, satire, irony, etc.! And if some of the muslims in this country find that episode of the Simpsons offensive and anti-free speech, I’ll give these throwbacks an advice, buy yourselves a one-way ticket and move back to the hell-hole you came from in the middle east!

And Skunky, I want to comment on one of you’re sentences and here goes:

“I noticed you used the word “dhimmi”. I was told today it was hate speech and to please refrain from using it.”

Let me guess Skunky, you commented on “LoonWatch” or “Mondoweiss” right? From what I’ve seen, these joke of a websites are islamo-pandering blogs, and their real dhimmis who bid and shill for islam on a daily basis. And I won’t be surprised if those websites are recieving money from CAIR, and other muslim front groups in this country?

Sean R. on December 13, 2011 at 7:34 pm

Sean, it’s TDB. And I was told NOT to use shi’ite for sh** too. Here is a great reply posted…

“Dhimmi” is most certainly *not* a form of hate speech. It is a legal concept in Islamic law.

Dhimmitude is based on the Quranic injunction found in 9:29, and mandated in every Islamic society since the Caliph Umar imposed it in 697 AD on the conquered Christians of Roman Syria.

The term describes the legal condition of conquered Christians and Jews who have been permitted to keep their faith, so long as they pay the “jizya,” a special tax.

See the voluminous work on this concept by Bat Ye’or.”

Skunky on December 13, 2011 at 7:48 pm

Skunky, I to won’t be surprised if that website “TDB” (I’ve never heard of that website before) is being funded with muslim money from the muslim pressure group(s) I mentioned in my last comment.

You’ve articulated the word/term dhimmi very clear, and I applaud you for schooling those dhimmi morons on that website. Skunky, I think those folks who comment on that site are on some type of drugs? There probably on some “happy-pill” prescription? Skunky, before I graduated from high school in the late 1990s, one of my former teachers told me and the rest of my former classmates this quote, “when you guys get older and find yourselves a job, you’re going to have to live in the real world and use alot of critical thinking”, at that time Skunky, I was naive, ignorant and didn’t take it serioulsy, and boy was my former HS teacher correct about what she said! Those folks on that site are like me when I was a teenager, naive, ignorant, foolish, lazy, etc., they need to wake the hell up and see the real world and they have to educate themselves on the term “dhimmi”. Those folks at TDB are like children Skunky, that’s who you’re dealing with, you’re dealing with grown-ass adults who have the mindset of a child, and it’s very tough dealing with people like that (ironically some anti-DS trolls who comment here are like children).

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

Sean R. on December 13, 2011 at 8:06 pm

Thanks Sean. I wish I was the author of that retort but I am NOT. But I will study it for SURE! Dhimmi is NOT hate speech.

And I don’t want to post the name of the site because DS may not support them (and I don’t either…I did follow the Knox case on there though. Little did I know that it was the ONLY thing worth reading on there…) but Meghan McCain writes there. So you know it’s full of dopes! ;D

Skunky on December 13, 2011 at 9:47 pm

And also for clarity…the person was a moderator. Someone who worked for the sight. Tina Brown is a dhimmi anyway…

Skunky on December 13, 2011 at 11:06 pm

I don’t think the folks at Hamas and Hezbollah have “given it a spin” to make it sound like the episode showed them in a good light. I think they’re just plain too stupid to know when they’ve been insulted.

As an aside, 22 years ago, shortly after the first episode aired in 1989, I distinctly recall reading an interesting interview with Matt Groening. He was asked why there weren’t any comical Muslims on the program, while there were comical Christians, Jews and Hindus (Ned Flanders, Krusty The Clown, and Apu The Kwiki-Mart Owner, respectively). His answer was something to the effect of: “From what I’ve observed, those people not only seem to have no sense of humor, but appear to not even be certain of what humor is.”

I don’t even think HE could possibly have been aware of how just how dead accurate that answer was, at the time.

What is it about having a residential real estate financing ‘Sharia Compliant’ ad for Islamic people on your website Debbie? Is it a joke, accident, or a way to find Muslims?

Amedeo Bianchi on December 13, 2011 at 9:00 pm

No one on the intermets seems to care what ads pop up on their site and long as they get a few pennies from the people who click the links. Also note the ad for dressale.com, based in Hong Kong many site do it this is just another.

petebone on December 13, 2011 at 9:18 pm

Skunky

Jihadwatch had covered the definition of ‘Dhimmi’ pretty well:

Dhimmitude is the status that Islamic law, the Sharia, mandates for non-Muslims, primarily Jews and Christians. Dhimmis, “protected people,” are free to practice their religion in a Sharia regime, but are made subject to a number of humiliating regulations designed to enforce the Qur’an’s command that they “feel themselves subdued” (Sura 9:29). This denial of equality of rights and dignity remains part of the Sharia, and, as such, are part of the legal superstructure that global jihadists are laboring to restore everywhere in the Islamic world, and wish ultimately to impose on the entire human race.

If dhimmis complained about their inferior status, institutionalized humiliation, or poverty, their masters voided their contract and regarded them as enemies of Islam, fair game as objects of violence. Consequently, dhimmis were generally cowed into silence and worse. It was almost unheard-of to find dhimmis speaking out against their oppressors; to do so would have been suicide. For centuries dhimmi communities in the Islamic world learned to live in peace with their Muslim overlords by acquiescing to their subservience. Some even actively identified with the dominant class, and became strenuous advocates for it.

Spearheaded by dhimmi academics and self-serving advocacy groups, that same attitude of chastened subservience has entered into Western academic study of Islam, and from there into journalism, school textbooks, and the popular discourse. One must not point out the depredations of jihad and dhimmitude; to do so would offend the multiculturalist ethos that prevails everywhere today. To do so would endanger chances for peace and rapprochement between civilizations all too ready to clash.

Actually, given that the original dhimmis – say Jews and Christians in Muslim empires – were forced to grovel for fear of death or other forms of persecution and did what they did due to the knowledge that opposition would mean death, it’s somewhat insulting to them to call today’s panderers in the west ‘Dhimmis’.

After all, those original Dhimmis did not have the option – other than dying for their beliefs or getting family members killed – to oppose shariah laws that were being forced down their throats.

But that’s not the case today in the West. These are all free countries, Muslims are still a minority, and even if government were to bend backwards and pander to Muslims, that doesn’t imply that public organizations across the social spectrum have to. Yet you see all sorts of things like footbaths being built in the university, Muslim employees in some companies getting extended prayer breaks, hijabs being allowed where it should be, children being taught about Islam even though they can’t be taught about Christianity or Judaism, and the list goes on and on.

Now, in this latter case, we do not have a government like they do in Teheran, Riyadh or Cairo. We do not have Muslim majorities and overlords. Yet, too many people – both Left and Right – have created a situation where opposition to Islam and Muslims would risk the same sort of ostracism that they would risk in any Muslim country. If you had some Jews in Morocco or Tunisia being attacked for wearing Magen Davids, it’s at least expected, if still unacceptable, since those are Muslim countries that won’t protect citizens from Muslim mob violence. But when such things happen in Paris, Amsterdam or Malmo, it’s worse, given that these countries don’t have Islamic regimes, but Muslims there act like they do, and are allowed to get away w/ it, and people who protest it are accused of being bigots by mainstream opinion there.

To call the latter ‘dhimmi’ is insulting to the original dhimmis. The Jews in Iran or Tunisia who don’t protest against attacks are simply fearful of their lives. But the non-Muslim panderers in the West who attack those who oppose jihadi activity are not doing so out of fear the way the first group is, but b’cos their minds are totally mushed w/ PCMC ideas. In other words, the first group is doing things out of fear and a desire for self preservation, while the latter is doing it b’cos @ some level, it’s right there w/ the jihadis on all this.

Infidel on December 13, 2011 at 11:39 pm

    Excellent points, Infidel.

JeffE on December 14, 2011 at 9:02 am

Bravo Infidel and thank you for your post.

It’s always amazing to me when the PC crowd cows themselves because of the whinings of evil-doers and those trying to get away with their shenanigans. When they fall for it, it makes me so angry. It is such a poison.

And you can count on them being 99% uninformed but of course that does not stop them. They just don’t want you to be “mean”. Meanwhile, there is nothing more “mean” than the INITIAL Islamic meaning. Your post is a keeper!

10 years after 9/11 and Americans are kept in check by the whackos of the world. The irony is sometimes too much to take.

Skunky on December 14, 2011 at 10:04 am

I have traveled to Dearborn extensively. I find the people very kind and hospitable. I like the area and the people a lot.

I think you are a real fucking asshole in criticizing them. Fuck you.

No,Matt Groening, this is something for your “Life In Hell” strip.

The terrorists have won….

Phineas on December 14, 2011 at 12:05 pm

Though for years an avid fan, I don’t watch it regularly so I missed this episode. Was Fox behind this act of dhimmitude. Maybe not.

The Jewish culture magazine “Moment” a few years ago had a feature article asking “Are The Simpsons Jewish?” After all, half those writing and producing the show (and half the actors voicing the characters) are Jewish. Asked why virtually everything is subject to their comic humor but not Islam or Arabs they admit it’s out of FEAR. They don’t want the protests, and they don’t want the death threats.

The only previous episode I’d seen that deals with Muslims involved a “terrorist neighbor” who … wasn’t. A Muslim family moves into the neighborhood and Homer stumbles on *explosives* in the family’s garage. He saw something, he said something. Nope. It turns out the Muslim father is a *demolitions engineer* and it’s *Homer* who (Doh!) inadvertently blows up a building!

Limits to Growth says “they have zero sense of humor” and none other than the Ayatollah Khomeini supports him. He wrote, “Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious.”
