HUH? Wall St. Journal Columnist: “US Must Vaccinate Your 8 Yr Old b/c Muslims Marry 11-Yr-Olds”

By Debbie Schlussel

The Saturday edition of the Wall Street Journal usually has an entire section of columns, book reviews, and other such stuff.  Some of the columnists, like Joe Queenan, are interesting, funny, and/or entertaining.  Others, like feminist Holly Finn, are just utterly moronic.  Ms. Finn previously told us that because the maid in the now-unraveled Dominique Strauss-Kahn case was a “devout Muslim,” we must believe her phony rape allegations against DSK and should also feel sorry for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s maid (who slept her way into a nice house and life).  But the best was this past week, when Finn called American parents who don’t want to give their nine-year-old girls the HPV vaccine (Gardasil), “the new prudes,” and said they should do it because 40-year-old Muslim men forcibly marry 11-year-old girls.  HUH????  Oh, and no worries, she didn’t use the word Muslim because, ya know, that would offend Muslims.  (No surprise that Finn is your typical limousine liberal, who went to a fancy boarding school.)  Don’t you just love this “sharia fiat by feminist capitulation?”

WSJ Liberal Columnist Holly Finn Thinks US Should Vaccinate 8-Year-Old Girls to Accomodate Islamic Child Brides

Read this utter BS:

This is the new prudery. . . .”But we don’t want them to think sex is safe,” say some adults. They are being overprotective—common in recessionary times—but also adolescent. . . .  Politicians and government agencies, amazingly, are the ones really acting their age on this.

Let’s put this in perspective. I’ve just seen a wedding portrait of Faiz Mohammed, 40, and Ghulam Haider, 11, in rural Afghanistan. He is turbaned, tanned, manly. She looks like a dazed girl scout, wrapped in a pretty pink shawl. When Miss Haider was asked how she felt that day, she said: “I do not know this man. What am I supposed to feel?” According to Girls Not Brides, there are 10 million child brides world-wide, at significantly higher risk of injury and death due to sexual activity—it’s a routine kind of rape.  Our job is not to control children or another country’s traditions. . . .

The adventurous and the innocent shouldn’t be damned, wherever they live.  So let’s put aside all prudery.

HUH? A parent’s job is “not to control children”?! On which planet is this idiot living? That’s exactly what a parent’s job is. Parents shouldn’t “damn” their kids for being sexually “adventurous?” This woman is a piece of crap and has exactly the kind of attitude that is the problem with “parents” today–that they aren’t parents at all.

And because Muslim adult men rape and marry young girls just coming out of toddlerhood, we in America should vaccinate our eight- and nine-year-old girls so they can have sex??? Oh, and we shouldn’t be opposed to “another country’s traditions”–which is how she soft-pedals a 40-year-old raping an 11-year-old girl.

Uh-huh. That’s what passes for opinion, these days, in the Wall Street Journal. Remember, this isn’t an op-ed some random nutjob submitted and got published. This woman is a regular, paid columnist by the Journal. Maybe they should change it to “Wall Street Urinal.”

Holly Finn’s level of stupidity just leaves me stunned. IS she really that vapid or is it just her being coy and disingenuous in the interest of soft-soaping anything islamic?

DS_ROCKS! on December 9, 2011 at 2:32 pm

The real question is not why Holly Finn writes this drivel but why the Wall Street Journal prints it?

In Britain, Muslim men forceably rape 10 year old kuffar ‘sluts’ and the police do nothing about it for fear of damaging community cohesion: http://crombouke.blogspot.com/2010/01/muslim-pedophile-gangs-prey-on-british.html

Hey, any society (British) which puts up with royalty, opposes personal ownership of guns, hates Israel and Jews, deserves what it gets.

As to the Wall Street Journal, well, I expect more out of them.

It doesn’t bother me that they lose their freedoms.

The only way liberal dhimmis will finally understand Islam is when they literally lose their heads to it.

The rest of us can only pray we’ll keep ours.

Excuse me, Ms. Holly? I’m supposed to subject my daughter (soon to be 2 daughters) to this so called vaccine that only protects against a few strains of HPV. Really? gardisil.com actually states:

“GARDASIL may not fully protect everyone, nor will it protect against diseases caused by other HPV types or against diseases not caused by HPV. GARDASIL does not prevent all types of cervical cancer, so it’s important for women to continue routine cervical cancer screenings. GARDASIL does not treat cancer or genital warts.”

Yep. No thanks. You can choose for your family, and I’ll choose for mine. We treat sex as an incredible gift from G-d. But, perhaps I’m just too stupid to understand your “enlightened” way of thinking. I live in flyover country, don’t ya know.

But, before I toddle back to my dirt shack and outhouse, I’ll give you a gift. I’ll pay for a copy of Osama to be sent to your mobile device. Perhaps you will then see the horror in that now famous picture.

Then again…probably not.

The notion of young women behaving like ladies who had a certain value to a man is a quaint notion today.

Young women are encouraged to be like guys and if they get STDs and unwanted pregnancies, who cares?

What matters is all traditions, customs and social guardrails are gone forever.

We are living in a Brave New World.

NormanF on December 9, 2011 at 4:15 pm

I think that Holly Finn should be forced to work in a Pakistani brothel for a year. She might get some inkling of what those poor girls go through if she had to experience something similar. Islam promotes child rape and views women as uncovered meat to be used as a Muslim male pleases. Is this Ms. Finn’s view as well? I have a feeling that this callous old gal would be a screaming and bawling mess within half an hour of commencing her new duties.

I’m a little confused. There has been a media firestorm over Jerry Sandusky, and there has been a national discussion for weeks about the responsibility that has been placed on all of us to prevent the types of deeds he has been accused of.

And yet the same people excuse atrocities such as Muslim forced marriages of young girls, the same ages as Sandusky’s alleged victims. If Sandusky is guilty, and goes to jail )and of course I condemn the types of actions he is accused of), why are these 40 year old Muslims any different?

And what would happen if a Muslim man does the types of things associated with Sandusky’s actions? Should universities and child-care institutions protect themselves by hiring Muslims to interface with young children? I would expect more misdeeds, but fewer consequences. The absurdity of this — hire people more likely to abuse children in the hopes of having fewer consequences.

Little Al on December 9, 2011 at 2:54 pm

Liberals think two things are cool: tween kids having sex and Muslim men being able to marry young girls and turn them into baby factories.

Disgusting doesn’t begin to describe the depravity of Holly Finn’s article.

NormanF on December 9, 2011 at 3:26 pm

I say send Holly Finn to Saudi Arabia with a one way ticket.
You may wonder how stupid people can be when you read about people like Holly Finn. She should be forced to look at the website http://www.rawa.org in which brave Afghan women tell about their fight against the Talebans in Afghanistan. They have some terrible stories to tell people who do not know or understand what Islam is all about.

Pål on December 9, 2011 at 3:43 pm

Perhaps this Finn info-babe should vaccinate herself and have-at-it on some muslim love & see if she would then recommend it to others.

“Our job is not to control children or another country’s traditions. . . .”

Thank goodness this POS IS a feminist. It cuts to the chase and exposes her as an absolute nutter. And her sentence above was the SEED that made me ever-so-slowly wake up to the fact that Liberals and Feminists are evil, evil fools. Their total acceptance of “other countries traditions” was the very first thing I saw that told me these freaks are NOT as they portray themselves.

DO NOT respect feminists in 2011. If one is a feminist in 2011 they are very angry and mentally ill or fascistic (in it’s REAL meaning) control-freaks. I spit on everyone of them.

(And there are some women who USED to be both Liberal and Feminist like me but have now crossed over to Conservativism. That part is good BUT if they still identify themselves as feminists, I guarantee they still let that HORRIBLE part lead them sometimes. And it is ALWAYS foolish. I USED to love to be called a feminist when it was a dirty-word and out of vogue (late 80s) but NOW I hate the word and I don’t respect fools who identify themselves as such in 2011. It’s like openly calling oneself a effing fool!)

Skunky on December 9, 2011 at 4:26 pm

Mohammed, who is a “god-man” to the Muslims because you cannot criticize him or make any images of him, set the pace when he married a 7 year old girl and consumated the marriage when she was 9. I bet they leave this out in the studies of Islam when they’re indoctrinating the kiddies in high school and college.

Concerned Citizen on December 9, 2011 at 4:28 pm

Excuse me, but how do you think the world was populated? Didn’t God himself allow incest in order to populate the world? Don’t you think that Jewish and Christian men over 2000 years ago had child brides?

shaba on December 10, 2011 at 8:50 pm

Not sure if this was brought up before, but from a public health standpoint, the reason there is a push for this is because of the rapidly increasing incidence of HPV in the last couple of decades.

HPV, which is responsible in the rise in cervical cancer, is transmitted primarily from infections recieved by having unprotected sex with uncircumcised men with poor hygiene, namely, overwhelmingly minorities and immigrants.

Pushing the vaccine is simply preparing the legions of American girls for their “inevitable” future sex lives of choosing (or being raped by as is increasingly the case in some places like England and Sweden) muslim immigrant and minority partners.

I sure am glad the government is looking out for us.

DS_ROCKS! on December 9, 2011 at 4:38 pm

The recent push for the HPV vaccination is due to the fact that the over supply is reaching the sell-by-date and will be deemed null & void, dangerous and a total waste of taxpayer’s money. Ms Finn’s new niche target market is curious, this could be a winner on the next flotilla to Gaza, millions of takers there.

Ms Holly Finn, thankfully the Year of the Moron will soon be behind us. ‘Nuf said, and she’s paid to preach in print…

Eyes Wide Open on December 9, 2011 at 10:15 pm

The political argument about this vaccine is nonsense.

You’ve got a leftie (Finn) who doesn’t want to insult rapacious Islamic pigs who want to rape young children vs right-wing reactionaries on this board who don’t want to “encourage” sex for girls.

What matters here is the SAFETY and EFFECTIVENESS of the drug in preventing disease, especially CANCER, and that should take priority over sexual arguments.

Leave the arguments about “feminism”

Scott on December 10, 2011 at 3:07 am

Scott, your a dupey dope. “Leave the arguments about “feminism”. Pretty hard when the subject of the thread was started by a feminist with total flawed feminist logic that is neither effective OR kind. Aren’t Liberals the more kind and gentle sorts?///

You want us to leave the argument because you embrace feminism in all it’s stupidity. Pretty pathetic for a “man”.

Skunky on December 10, 2011 at 9:34 am

Skunky, the correct form is you’re, not your.

Perhaps you can tell me where in my post I embrace “feminism” in all its “stupidity”.

I embrace liberty, especially personal liberty, and I believe the gov’t should never protect people from themselves.

Feminism is not a monolithic viewpoint. It can range from a desire for equality all the way to hatred of men. I’ve even seen a crackpot “feminist” state that all sexual intercourse is rape.

The focus here should be whether the drug is safe and effective. Unfortunately, sex has become a major factor in the decision process of whether the drug is appropriate or not.

Something I wonder – is there some clause in columnists’ contracts that whatever they write has to get printed? Of course I’m stunned by this woman’s idiocy, but I can’t see why the editors, or whoever, at WSJ would let this show up in their paper.

CornCoLeo on December 10, 2011 at 12:55 pm

So the pushing of a drug that doesn’t actually cure what it claims. These drugs have side effects worse then what they claim to be curing. Love the ads where the side effects are exactly like the disease so you don’t know if they are working. Then the drugs were the quickly mention “fatal” as one of the side effects. Then the antidepressant drugs that cause suicide, your cured and your dead.

We managed to survive how many centuries with out all these drugs, some of course worked (small pox, polio) but now it just seems they are worse than the disease.

I’m so disgusted – and I’m a liberal. This is just plain vile. The vaccination junkies in there going “woo hoo!” are reprehensible as well.

Shame on the Wall Street Journal for stumping for not only the vaccine but also for child sex! Big Pharma give you a nice chunk of change, WSJ? Well, toss aside morality and just push child sex.

WTF? Are even our media now pushing for pedophilia? More Muslim appeasement?

Nice of this immoral idiot to admit, however, that Muslim men are marrying and having sex with children – to the tune of some 10 million. She has no problem with this “routine kind of rape,” so long as the girls are protected against cervical cancer – as IF the Afghan Muslims, etc., give two shites about girls not getting cancer. Ahem, Ms. Finn, GIRLS IN MUCH OF THE MUSLIM WORLD ARE LARGELY DISPOSABLE. They are for having sex and producing babies – that’s it.

Ms. Finn, do you have any children? I hope CPS investigates you, frankly.

In the meantime, there’s evidence that chemicals in our water, food and MEDICINES are CAUSING children to reach puberty at an earlier age. How about discussing THAT fact, instead of pushing this crap?

Perry’s attempt to force all girls to be vaccinated represents pure medical FASCISM. Get that guy out of here.

I’ve observed that in the world these days, video games include the latest craze with kids of all ages. Often times it may be not possible to drag your kids away from the activities. If you want the very best of both worlds, there are lots of educational activities for kids. Interesting post.
