I just read what I wrote and it doesn’t look right. But I found that whole thing VERY disturbing.

The media today always tries to squelch hatred against all groups of people except Jewish people. Why is anti-Semitism the only “acceptable” form of racist hate in the media? As I was watching this, I found myself asking the same question that Jeff Michael (the anchor) kept asking. Exactly what subject or subjects was this substitute teacher’s specialty? And if it’s (yikes!) Social Studies, how many other teachers in the Los Angeles area, or for that matter, nation wide, share her views?

Anyhow, she obviously learned nothing from Helen Thomas’ mistake. Nowadays, when someone points a camera at you and shoves a microphone in your face, you are never only speaking to the person holding the microphone and/or the camera. You’re speaking to a big chunk of the earth’s population. Strangely, Achmadinijad hasn’t quite seemed to have caught on to this fact either.

No news organization with a scintilla of integrity would permit such comments on their website. I’d rather that occupy LA, Occupy Wall Street crowd be exposed for what they are. The best part of the interview is when the reporter asked the representative of Occupy LA to condemn the remarks, and she could barely do it, or she did it with qualifications.

I think the interview actually served a useful purpose.

A similar situation in Seattle that made little sense other than the parent station KOMO 4 was extremely liberal, existed with an event that happened at KVI 570, the supposedly conservative “radio” side of the broadcast duo. Kirby Wilbur, a conservative talk show host on KVI was let go for reasons not fully explained to the satisfaction of his listeners. Careful listening of KVI made it obvious that it was designed as a backdoor venue for the liberal ideology of KOMO. My take is that Wilbur’s ideology did not match up with that of KOMO and its intended purpose of KVI. Thus he was let go. Kirby was a man of integrity, and crafted his programming fully in line with the conservative views of those who were his ardent listeners. He supported those listeners and was in agreement with them in his broadcast style. He did not comply with the designs of the parent company to support liberal ideology through careful crafting of KVI’s programming. You have instances such as above because they are intended as a matter of the true agenda of the Fox News Network. Fox is a sham.

I reviewed the commments on the FoxLA website and was dismayed to see that the majority of the posts seem to support the teacher and her antisemitic opinions. I guess I should not be surprised.

If there is any good from this maybe it will be the inability of the main stream media to completely ignore the hatred within the Occupy group. The main stream media has been very slow to report the darker side of the group especially when compared with the way they seized on any hints of racism in the Tea Party movement whether real or imagined.

Murdoch is a business guy first and foremost and he knows that controversy will bring him a bigger audience. Don’t expect anything from him.
McAllister can say whatever she wants.(First amendment.) And as a result, people should be free to decide if they wish to serve her in any capacity (restaurant, store, health care, etc). Of course that is prohibited by law, but people can still, in some cases, work within the cracks to achieve this. There IS a price tag.

Overall, I agree with the emotion expressed by Debbie and most of the commenters. But it is a truly slippery slope to limit speech on-air. Europe stands as a stark warning of what happens when “hate speech” is limited. I also understand the double standard in how much is allowed to be spewed against Israel. But honestly, the woman stands there and says “Jews have been run out of 109 countries they should be run out of this one” and ANYONE would doubt the sagacity of her firing? Yes, the interviewer was slow and awful, but nevertheless I think what we saw there was democracy in action.

I did watch the video clip in which Susan Hirasuna “interviews” that offensive person, Patricia McAllister a/k/a Patricia McMillan.

It does look like Hirasuna is actually presenting the absurdity of McCallister/McMillan.

The questions she asked McMillan worked to show the absurdity quite well. McMillan actually did not disappoint, but proved how offensive and irrational and prejudiced and bigoted she was, and she dug her hole deeper and deeper as the “interview” continued.

When Hirasuna told the on air reported who was in the studio that, no, McMillan said she was not promoting hate speech, that she did not have hate, it appeared that Hirasuna actually as, once again, framing the stupidity and blantant hatred McMillan spewed.

Of course, it can be interpreted the other way as well.

Nevertheless, Hurasuna’s interview could be seen as presenting a rabid, hate filled nut, and letting the entire world see that nut for what she is, or Hurasina could have actually been thought to have agreed with the nut.

All-in-all, Hurasuna did preset a leftist, Jew hating, freakish, Occupy Wall Street circuit bigot, racist, hate filled cretin, and for that I am glad that the clip is circulated. Otherwise, people will believe the sanitized cheer leading from leftists, celebrities, and the main stream media – MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS, NYT, and so on, and think that only saints are taking part in the mob scene-hate fest, Leninist, Marxist, Maoist, Stalinist, Third Reich-ist, Communist-Socialist-Entitled rabid dog gathering which is titled, “Occupy Wall Street,” and its affiliates.

It’s been noted above that the other networks would never have aired this interview, reinforcing the notion that this is not going on. I understand that the LA Times has a tape of Obama going off on Jews that they won’t release. I think it was at an event associated with Rashid Khalidi. It’s said that if it were exposed it would have cost him his shot at the presidency. Maybe Susan H wanted people to understand the OWS people better. Or maybe she’s a sympathizer. I wonder if anyone has asked her which it is?

There are four things from this that are absolutely certain:

1) Patricia McAllister/Patricia McMillan is an anti-Semitic idiot and a bitch who deserved to no longer be a substitute teacher.

2) OMG, the people commenting on the myfoxla website are idiots, as several comments posted above me have noted. Two of the most recent comments make sense–one by Jeff McCabe and one by Rennee jones. Most of the rest are idiotic.

Before I continue, I want to say this to McAllister/McMillan and to the idiots at the myfoxla website:

Genesis 12:1-3!

3) The OccupyLA chieftess is morally bankrupt for not clearly denouncing McAllister/McMillan’s bigotry against the Jewish people.

4) The weather woman, Liz Habib, is definitely a hero for clearly denouncing McAllister/McMillan.

The only question is about the interviewer, Susan Hirasuna. Is she a hero or a villian for having given the two people she interviewed an extended platform to deliver, in the case of the first, her disgusting rants, and in the second, showing off her moral bankruptcy? Debbie and the early comments say that Susan is a villian because it suggests that she sympathizes with McAllister/McMillan’s reprehensible anti-Semitic rants, while the later comments say that she is a hero because by giving them a platform, they are exposing OccupyLA, and by extension OWS, as being the bigots that they are. For me, while I want to believe that it’s the latter, nonetheless I’m not sure–it could go either way. Either Debbie or someone here–or maybe I will in a follow up comment–needs to examine the history of Susan Hirasuna to find out which one it is. If the former, then Susan should be fired, if the latter, then she is indeed a hero.

I might add that even if it’s the former, Susan’s interview might still have the positive effect of discrediting the various left-wing “occupy” movements as an overwhelming majority of Americans are rightly opposed to the bigotry against the Jewish people, which explains why the “MSM” are whitewashing anti-Semites in the occupy movements like McAllister/McMillan and their apologists like the OccupyLA chieftess. I do use my brain and decide for myself. I was weighing both sides of that issue and didn’t think that I had enough information to decide. The last part of my post had asked for more information and I indicated that I might do some research on this myself, and I have now done so.

Since I posted my comment, I looked up “Susan Hirasuna” on Youtube, Google and one other search engine and I have not seen any other instance of her dealing with any issue pertaining to either Israel, Zionism, or the Jewish people. The most comprehensive profile of her was posted here by Gideon Smith on October 19, 2011 at 7:03 pm. I saw other items that repeated what that profile of her said.

Therefore since you want me to decide–then here’s what I’m deciding:

That Susan was indeed a hero–oh sorry,–doing her job. I thought that my post implied a greater weight to that. In any event, my research that I did since my first comment has given me no reason to think that Susan was doing anything other than her job in letting McAllister/McMillian talk and expose herself as being the anti-Semitic idiot that she is.
