I think if we all look in our own backyards (cities and states) we will be shocked by all the dhimmitude going on all round us locally. Boston has been in the headlines lately due to some potential jihadists being caught (the dopey c-4 guy Rezwan Ferdaus and some other recent terrorist that has slipped my mind) but I want to share with you a Jihadi who is gonna be tried 10/24.

And when you hear what he did, what he believed and how STILL Liberal dhimmis are OUTRAGED that this beast is being prosecuted, your head will explode. And please remember (after I list the particulars) this terrorist has a website that wants him FREED.

Tarek Mehanna…aged 26 (in 2008) from Sudbury Mass. He was a Mass. College of Pharmacy PhD. heading to Saudi Arabia to work at the King Fahad Medical Centre. His parents are (Egyptian) Mass residents.

He was arrested at Logan airport BEFORE he even made it to Riyadh. The FBI alleges that Mehanna had conspired to provide material support to terrorists and planned jihadist activity such as obtaining automatic weapons to be used randomly at a shopping mall and alleged plans to assassinate two federal officials. Mehanna was active online screaming his disapproval of the American wars in the ME and was in high dudgeon on how USA dealt with the Mooooooslim world on a whole. He also lied to the FBI about his relationship with Daniel Maldonado (of Methuen Mass.) who was captured on the borders of Somalia and Kenya. Maldonado has been sentenced to a 10 year prison stay due to pleading guilty to receiving military training from a foreign terrorist organization).

There are photos of Mehana smiling at Ground Zero as he points to the sky. He was also a huge fan of Osama bin Laden. When he went to Yemen in 2004 (he taught himself to be fluent in Arabic…and on his computer, an Arabic-to-English translation was found of “39 WAYS TO SERVE & PARTICIPATE IN JIHAD”.) he claimed he went to deeply study his religion BUT it really was to seek terrorist training…ala Daniel Maldonado. His trial is coming up 10/24 and he’s in solidary confinement as he awaits.

HERE IS THE RUB: The Liberals and his family want him released because they believe his 1st Amendment Rights are being violated because TALKING about Jihad and PARTICIPATING in Jihad are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

HERE ARE WHAT THEY THINK HIS ONLY CRIME IS: “His only crime was speaking out against US foreign policy, advocating for Muslims world-wide and refusing to inform on his own community” (The FBI is trying to get him to be an informant, and like all serious Jihadis, he is REFUSING). Here is what his brother Tamer says he is (as opposed to a terrorist) “A community minded healer railroaded by authorities desperate for allies in the Islamic world”. (READ THAT AGAIN!)

So yes, this is what dhimmitude looks like in my backyard. There is much gnashing of teeth because local Mooooslims and dhimmis believe that the way the Federal Gov’t prosecutes these crimes is un-American. Because the lawyers of the Jihadists are not given all the evidence in time to prepare.

Ostensibly, it’s a State Department initiative to help the Palestinians close their “budget gap” – as if we don’t have a gaping one of our own – and because their Arab “brothers” are cutting funds to the Palestinians (knowing the US and EU will carry the load). Of course, were the PA not subsidizing Hamas-run Gaza and paying salaries to terrorist prisoners such a gap would disappear.

The hold on the $200 million comes from the Congress, increasingly disinclined to fund the PA and UN. The Administration however, in keeping with their “outreach” to the Muslim world, insists without such funding we’d lose whatever influence we have with the Palestinians. Debbie I know you don’t like Herman Cain and think he is a fraud but we should vote Herman Cain president, he seems to be the only one who has a realistic chance to win and will so something about Islamic influence. Before anyone jumps to conclusion the field is weak and there is no way Perry or Romney have the cajones to take on Islam. Bachman is down to 4% and the rest of the field has no chance to win. Gingrich, Santorum, Paul and Huntsman are fringe though all are way better than Obama. Christie is more liberal than conservatives know and he has called anyone who understands the Islamic threat crazy. There are literally hundreds of “no go” zones in European nations, where police, out of fear more than anything else, don’t venture. This has given absolute power to the thugs who enforce Sharia law. Maybe Ron Paul types see this as a healthy thing, safe in their assumption that liberty equals the absence of the state (actually it’s the absence of undue coercion, especially if family-initiated).
