Hmmm . . . Sexual Assault on NY Hotel Maid Not Hyped B/c Perpetrator is Muslim

By Debbie Schlussel

Hmmm . . . why is it that there’s only hype over a “wealthy-foreigner-versus-New-York-hotel-maid” when the alleged victim is a “devout” Muslim alien with AIDS and the alleged perpetrator is a nominal Jew; and yet there’s little interest when the perpetrator in such a story is a wealthy Muslim banker from newly “liberated” Egypt?

Attempted Rapist Mahmoud Omar Does the Perp Walk

When the story about Dominique Strauss-Kahn broke, a gazillion Muslims asked me why I didn’t write about it and whether it’s because he’s (nominally) Jewish.  Nope.  I couldn’t care less about the story.  The only interesting part of it is that the alleged victim is a hijab-wearing Muslim immigrant from Guinea who was quickly granted asylum here and then provided tax-funded government housing for people with AIDS and/or HIV.  Not sure why we let people in with at least a triple whammy–extremist religion and devout observance of it, infection with a fatal communicable disease, and the need for immediate and long-term government subsidies and assistance.  But, sadly, we do, and that’s why there will be more and more of those.  Not sure how someone who needs to be soooo “modest” that she wears an Islamic headscarf contracted HIV and/or AIDS, but wouldn’t be surprised if she got it from having sex, Islamic modesty being the oxymoronic phrase and fraudulent concept that it is.  And as for her asylum application, I wonder what it said, since we know most people lie on those, falsely claiming some phony past or future harassment or persecution, but Immigration Courts grant most of these asylum requests and they are never investigated.  I’m sure she was fine in Guinea and had no legit reason to be here.

And, now, there’s the story of Mr. Omar, which–since he’s not a JINO (Jew In Name Only) and his victim ain’t a Muslim–is apparently not worth the hype that Kahn’s story is.  Of course, that double standard is nothing new.  Just ask Alfred Dreyfus.

The former chairman of Egypt’s Bank of Alexandria was held overnight at New York’s Riker’s Island jail complex after being arraigned in Manhattan on charges of sexually abusing a maid at the Pierre Hotel in New York.

Manhattan judge Gerald Lebovits around midnight last night set bail for Mahmoud Abdel Salam Omar, chairman of El-Mex Salines at $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Omar also was ordered to surrender his travel documents, prosecutors said.

Omar, 72, was taken overnight to Riker’s Island, New York City’s main jail complex, located off the shore of northern Queens opposite LaGuardia Airport, Sharman Stein, a spokeswoman for the New York City Department of Correction, said in an interview. He can post bail there, she said. . . .

Omar was arrested May 30 after a 44-year-old female housekeeper alleged he attacked her the day before, according to a police spokesman.

Officers were called to the hotel, located in Midtown Manhattan, after she informed security of an alleged incident when she went to Omar’s room after he requested tissues. Prosecutors said Omar is 72; police previously said 74.

Omar “wrapped his arms tightly around the informant’s body and while holding the informant, kissed the informant’s neck and lips,” Detective Efrain Curet said in the criminal complaint. Omar grabbed the maid a second time and groped her, according to the criminal complaint.

Police charged Omar with sexual abuse in the first degree, sexual abuse in the third degree and forcible touching. He allegedly asked the maid for her telephone number and she gave a false one before leaving the room, police said. If convicted of the top charge, he faces up to seven years behind bars.

Omar is scheduled to next appear in court June 3. . . . Omar is being held at the West Facility at Rikers Island. . . .

Omar is the former chairman of the Egyptian American Bank and the Federation of Egyptian Banks, according to the El-Mex Salines company website. . . .

Osama Abdel Aziz, the executive manager at El-Mex, couldn’t be immediately reached for comment and calls to the company went unanswered yesterday. Nobody was immediately available for comment at Bank of Alexandria.

Gee, I wonder why. allahu FUBAR.

Thanks for bringing these stories to the forefront, Debbie. The islamo-pandering/politically-correct/journo-list press is nauseating.

A little difference in the bond amounts also.

Would you really want to stay in a hotel and have someone with AIDS or HIV making your bed and handling your linens and other belongings?

Immigrants and those without citizenship used to be checked for communicable diseases. And we act surprised when all the old diseases come back with a vengeance.

Debbie, there’s a similar story about a Libyan Muslim male immigrant to Australia who was arrested and charged with rape.

Yup, it seems to be a worldwide phenomenon and they aren’t anymore moderate or civilized Down Under than they are here.

Such stories get buried quickly. Cuz we all know the Religion Of Peace is above such a horrible crime!

It’s not just the disparity in bail – Strauss-Kahn’s was at the six-figure level. But being deemed nonetheless a “flight risk”, he has to have his location monitored at his own expense at a rather high cost. Is the head of the Egyptian American Bank not a flight risk?

The story NormanF relates is hardly unusual. Wherever one sees a rapidly growing Muslim presence in the West one sees a major rise in rape. Sweden is reportedly the rape capital of Europe, and – as Debbie noted last week – *all* of those arrested for rape in Norway are Muslim immigrants, while the victims are not.

Hey, “benji”, don’t worry – if you really are a dhimmi apologist, they’ll behead you last.

DSK’s bail was both $1 million cash and a $5 million bond; and DSK spent almost a week in New York’s notorious Riker’s Island jail.

The Muslem rapist’s bail was set at a $50,000 bond or a $25,000 cash deposit; and this Muslim rapist spent just a single night in Riker’s Island.

DSK must also pay for a around-the-clock guard to ensure that he adheres to his bail conditions.

If this wasn’t NYC I’d be concerned about if DSK’s (nominal) Jewishness were a factor in this incongrous treatment.

Whoa, I can’t believe what I’m reading. How many Muslims have you met? How can you be so close minded that you can’t see the difference between Muslim and terrorist? Are you all Christians? Have you forgotten all the terrible things that Christians did in the past? The crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the French Wars of Religion,… all bloody times in our history because of a religion that wasn’t Islam. You have to put things in perspective. Your religion does not make you a murderer or a bad person. Oh and just by the way, I’m an atheist.
Finally, just a piece of information, you won’t get AIDS by sleeping in sheets that have been touched by someone who carries that disease.
I am so grateful that there are people in the world who see things a little more clearly, with an open mind, and with respect towards differences, not hatred. Otherwise, we would all be dead by now!!!

Judaism changed. So did Christianity. Islam remains primitive, fanatical and bloodthirsty as it was in the 7th Century. That’s the difference you overlook.

    WAKE THE HECK UP!

‘Dying for a virgin or is it virgins’….. A worthless existence printed in the DNA before birth. How sad.

AIDS?? That is assault with a intent to commit deadly harm, or something like that. Give him the full 7 years

Debbie,
Before I read your article I was puzzled also regarding the huge difference how the press handled the stories.
