Yup – in the end she could no longer look the other way on his cheating. When you have young children, keeping the family together for their sake often matters more than the indiscretions of their father. When there’s no longer that excuse, one has to face the fact that by then it may be too late to save the marriage.
In the Schwarzenegger case, when there’s smoke there’s fire, hit close to home in more ways than one. But Debbie is correct, Maria wasn’t a victim in her husband’s philanderings. More like an enabler. And a marriage in which both people don’t take their vows seriously, well its no surprise that marital breakups happen.

Arnold was always quite the ladies man, I’ve followed his career when he was a unknown bodybuilder and acting was way down the road, I was only a teenager then and remember stories of threesomes in the gym and women throwing themselves at him. I would be surprised if this is his only out-of-wedlock child, and we know its not his only affair behind Maria’s back. She had to have known his behavior before the marriage which is why I don’t necessarily feel sorry for herToo bad he ran for governor and became the worst ever, people should realize actors are good for movies keep them out of politics, whose next Clint Eastwood? That would make a good sitcom.
A: I don’t feel sorry for Maria at all. She definitely knew about this. She married him b/c he was a wealthy celeb. Plus, when he was running for Gov, and these allegations came out, he responded, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” When your husband admits that to questions about affairs, you gotta know what he’s saying. The phrase is pretty clear in its meaning. DS
