Terry Jones, MORON: Koran-Burning Pastor Gives Islam, Hezbollah Mosque Thumbs Up

By Debbie Schlussel

Last week, Koran-burning pastor Terry Jones was all over the Detroit media for announcing his plan to come to Dearbornistan to protest in front of the Islamic Center of America, the largest mosque in North American, on Good Friday.  But, his uninformed, apologist statements about the mosque and Muslims in America, show me that my original impression of him–as an attention-seeking moron–was correct. As you’ll recall, last year, he planned to burn the Koran on the anniversary of 9/11, and while I defended his right to do so and decried the disproportionate outcry against his plan when there is nary a peep about Muslim intolerance and deliberate murder of non-believers all around the world, I hold no admiration for Jones and his stupid-looking Yosemite Sam/Morgan Spurlock mustache.

Money/FameWhore Pastor Terry Jones Give Kosher Seal of Approval. . .

. . . To Hezbollah Mosque and It’s Iran-Agent Imam . . .

I see no point in Jones’ protest and I guess he’s not quite sure of the point either, since he’s already given the extremist mosque, in front of which he will protest, his absolution and kosher seal of approval.  Also, he’s told the local press that most Muslims are peaceful and he’s adopted the usual “we’re just concerned with ‘radical’ muslims” BS. The guy is clueless  about Islam, but not so clueless about funding his financial interests, the true purpose of his “protest” and visit.  It’s  very clear that he’s just in this for publicity to raise money for his lavish lifestyle complete with lots of suspicious real estate holdings, some of which came after he mortgaged his church in his own name.  It seems his Dove World Outreach Center church is more like a personal investment fund.

I’ve gone undercover into the Islamic Center of America. I’ve written a lot about it and its imam, Hassan Qazwini, including in the Detroit Newsistan, before it became Muslim-occupied birdcage liner. As I’ve noted, not only is the mosque extremist and funded in part by Iran and other fundamentalist Shi’ite parties, but the imam hung out with the late Hezbollah leader, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, many times, and bragged about it. As I noted in my 1998 Detroit News article about the mosque, it hosted Louis Farrakhan and the entire mosque cheered uproariously, like a Hitler rally, when Farrakhan called out the Jewish-sounding names from the Clinton administration and said that Jews control the U.S. government, are forces of Satan, and that we need to have a jihad against them and Christians. Qazwini is a top Hezbollah and Iran agent in America and was President Bush’s favorite imam during his Presidency, having been invited to the Bush ranch, several times. Read even more about Qazwini and the Islamic Center of America here and here.

But Jones doesn’t know about this or care.  Here’s what he told the Newsistan’s resident Islamo-panderer, Oralandar Brand-Williams:

Jones, a 59-year-old Christian missionary, said he is not protesting Islam or the mosque but against “radical Islam.”

“We are protesting against Jihad and Sharia (Islamic) law,” said Jones in a telephone interview with The News today. “We are not accusing the mosque there of terrorist acts or promoting terrorist [DS:sic]. We chose them because they are the largest mosque in Dearborn.”

Jones said he is not directing his efforts at the entire Muslim community but those who do not want to “obey, respect and honor” the U.S. constitution.

Whatta moron. Like I said, this guy is clueless about Islam, clueless about the mosque (hey, ever hear of Google, Mr. Jones?), and just in this for the publicity he needs to re-fill his church–translation: his own–coffers. He’s simply a charlatan. He’d best belong in New York tracking down the escaped Egyptian cobra, so that they can form a partnership on the snake oil sales.

At this point, his rhetoric is no different than that of Daniel Pipes, Newt Gingrich, Hanan Tudor (the real name of the complete fraud, “Brigitte Gabriel”), and a million other liars who know their BS about “radical Islam” is just that–total baloney (and a way to raise gobs of money while still being acceptable and faux-“moderate”).

It’s Islam, stupid. And guess what? The mosque is dangerous, it does support and promote Islamic terrorism. The imam is an open defender and supporter of Hezbollah and HAMAS, and he works there at the discretion of his Iran-based Ayatollah backers.

Do us all a favor, Pastor and Real Estate Investor Extraordinaire Jones, stay home. His appearance here is nothing more than a setback for and a disservice to those of us who really know Islam and really know all about this mosque.

We get it.  He merely gets more dollars for his real estate investments.

I think Mr. Jones is a hypocrite, he’s not protesting this fanatical mosque in Dearborn, MI (not too far from where you reside Debbie), but he’s protesting so-called “radical islam” (I to was a little brainwashed about that term to be honest with most of you)? Terry Jones should protest against this mosque instead of saying that “the mosque is a swell idea, etc. etc.”! DS, I to think he’s doing this protest to line his own pockets for his own financial interest, and to me, that’s very selfish of Terry Jones, and god will NOT approve of that. We all know that the word “usurp” is in the bible, and I believe Jones is doing usurpery to line his own pockets?

Debbie, you are also right about that extremist mosque in Dearborn, MI, I read and saw a link of you infiltrating that mosque a number of years ago and you did a great job of infiltrating that mosque and exposing the imam and that mosque for what it is, pro-hezbollah, pro-hamas, pro-islamofascism, etc. And I believe that the FBI and CIA should investigate that mosque for them preaching all sorts of wahhabbism and jihad against us in this country.

Can you hear all the moderate muslims defending America and Israel? No? Me neither.

Cat K on March 28, 2011 at 5:39 pm

Sean, I agree. I, too, fell for that “radical” meme too often. No more. DS is one of the very few who refuses to equivocate.

Even so-called Conservatives try to make the distinction. In 2011 we have no time for such nonsense. Now, there are so many Conservatives supporting using force in Libya. They obviously
are clueless about Islam, too.

Heard Tim Pawlenty on Laura Ingraham this am. He supports Lybia action too. What a pathetic Republican candidate field.
You could have predicted the players two years ago. Sad and disgusing.

It’s sad to see how successful the Liberals have been in how they have cowed people with PCness. It’s endemic now and I wonder if we can save ourselves?

Yep,this wackadoodle is just another opportunist.

Not to be confused with the Terry Jones of Monty Python fame, who usually also doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but at least is occasionally funny.

Skunky, Tim Pawlenty did a commercial ad with Janet Napolitano about so-called “Global Warming! And we all know that global warming is a lie and junk science. If the foolish Republicans do this by running either Pawlenty, Romney, Gingrich (he said that he’s going to run against Obama), Palin, etc. then Obama is going to win his re-election.

He came across as someone on the make, and had little concern for any underlying reality. As Debbie noted, it was probably just a publicity stunt to promote himself and secondarily his church.

As a former Trustee in a baptist church this story causes the hair on the back of neck to rise. I’ve seen this kind of so-called man of God too many times fleece his flock for his own self agrandisment while his sheep praise as their leader and it sickens me. He is setting up his church to pay dearly for his retirement while leading them towards insolvency’ and yet the flock will still praise him and see him off in his Rolls Royce while they can barely afford gas. He is no different than the IRS or the phony conservatives who pander for our vote.

Yup…. the only people who really don’t know he isn’t serious are Muslims taken in by his tough talk.

Hilarious!

NormanF on March 28, 2011 at 9:33 pm

You know Mam; Goebels was right when he said; you repeat a lie long enough and every one will believe that it is a truth.
In our hypocrite society we try to sweet talk others as a tactful act but we wind up brainwashing ourselves into accepting a falacy as truth; pure truth. What a shame. There is no fundamental and liberal Islams. There one Islam which brags about being brute, uncivilized and offensive. It is the product of Satanic descendation on a confused disturbed man who thought he was meeting with Gabriel the archangel. We know that Satan was an archangel before his mutiny. It is quite possible that he used his appearance to deceive and recruit a mentally disturbed man and fool him into believing tha he is amessenger of G d.

The people have itching ears, and Terry Jones is their tour director to the afterlife.

His church has less than 50 members, and doesn’t have charitable status because it is supported by a commercial furniture store. He ain’t the Pope.

Okay, maybe I’m getting old (although I’m the same age as Debbie), but reading the above, other than the pastor’s inane statements about Islam & Muslims in general, I didn’t get how he gave this mosque the kosher seal of approval. Somebody explain?

I won’t endorse anything else he did, but if he’s the only one in the world w/ the sense to burn the Quran – which has provoked protests in that wonderful land of tolerance – Pakistan – kudos to him for that alone!

Infidel Pride on March 30, 2011 at 3:54 am

I will concede, however, that it’s moronic of him to say what he did about Islam not being the problem after he burns a Quran, since the Quran is what defines the essense of Islam, along w/ the Sunnah

Infidel Pride on March 30, 2011 at 3:55 am

Terry Jones is an opportunistic nutbag, and the only people who would respond to his nonsense are nutbag zealots. Have fun fighting each other over your imaginary friends, nutbags.

I think anyone who thinks they are good enough to judge what others believe is an idiot. You are in America and you do have the right and freedom of religion, but what right to you have to downgrade others? People like him only want to blame the evils of the world onto those who are different, and that is what has made the world what it is today. Religions are not bad, people are bad. People from every religion, race, background, country, color, who speak any language can be bad; and that includes people who are White and Christian!
Peace in the world is not about conformity, but about acceptance. There are many people people who are good from all religious background and walks of life. There is so much hate in the world as it is, it makes me sad to see that a “Church of God” is participating in such events to promote hate, anger, and intolerance to those who are different. He says that Islam promotes death and destruction, but yet his very actions are creating the same effect. He needs to spend a little more time on himself and quit telling people what they should believe and who they should hate.

Ryann on April 2, 2011 at 3:27 pm

You people are so dumb. Muslims don’t even care if he burns the koran. The only ways muslims can dispose of the words of god (quran, injil, torah etc) is by burning or burying it so that it isn’t ever dameged or seperated again. This guy is basicly doing us muslims a favour by decreasing the amount of time he has it in his hands whilst channting bullshit.
