The main obstacle to the lawsuit’s chances is the doctrine of state immunity.

And good luck with collecting on the claim even if the suit proceeds to trial and Silvano Orsi wins.

He may have to be content with a moral victory in federal court.

I would not be surprised if he frequents Afghanistan to “watch” the dancing boys (Frontline investigation which Debbie has commented and linked to on this site). More than likely he has his own version in the UAE that he attends regularly.

The Boston man sustained nerve damage. It can take a long time to heal nerve damage. My brother got shot several months ago and now has nerve damage in his leg and it may take years for him to fully recover. He worked in a hospital lifting heavy patients and now can only lift 20 pounds after months of physical therapy.

Surely there’s knowledge (at least suspicion) in his homeland that he’s gay. And yet he gets a pass because he’s royalty, unlike the typical Saudi subject who comes out and is subject to the death penalty!

Not to forget that this family was/is in bed w/ Osama – in a different sense, not necessarily the above one – where some of their members were on hunting trips w/ Osama, which is why the CIA couldn’t bomb them out (this was pre 9/11). Not that it stops people from drooling over the Emirates Airlines, and Dubai and all those displays of opulence.

Can’t wait for the turmoil in Bahrein and Yemen to spill over here

This Al Nayan guy is a beast. Dr. Sami Al Raaba, an ex Muslim from Syria once wrote that this guy raped and beat the crap out of his smallish Filipino maid in Germany. The maid with the help of some Germans filed police report and sought assylum in Germany by the ass Gerhard Schroder’s government refused to help. The police report was quashed and the assylum was denied. Nobody knows what happend to the Filipino maid after that.

Could you please provide a link to a source or a news clip concerning Dr. Sami Al-Raaba’s article on Mr AL-Nahyan in Germany?

Are you sure that “Falah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan” was the UAE sheikh invovled in the “maid matter” in Germany tath you are referring to?

If so, that would be vital information on Mr Al-Nahyan’s “other known precedents” of violence that he may have committed in Europe and/or on western soil. Many thanks.

To Norman: the UAE barbarian Sheikh in question does not hold any official government position, and he is not immune from any legal procedings whatsoever. He has been publicly tried in criminal court for this crime in Geneva since 2006, and there is another civil lawsuit on-going for Orsi’s personal injuries and currently underway in Switzerland. The physical injuries occurred in Geneva, so they have jurisdiction over that aspect, and the defamation occurred in the U.S., via slanderous comments made to the US Media and according to the lawsuit, via contact to Orsi in the US, made by the sheikh’s associates, so the U.S. Courts will have jurisdiction over that end of the affair. The doctrine of sovreign immunity does not apply — this DING-BAT Sheikh is not a sovreign, not part of the UAE government, nor does he represent his nation in any official capacity. So let’s not afford or advance this cowardly little twirp of a sheikh any status that he does not have!

We need to make “new law” here 1. Any muslim found guilty of such offenses that they use religion to escape (also see Grand Rapids trial of two pig lovers that killed a older man for his bank account) will be neutered and left hand choped with a rusty but sharp blade (see quran about importance of hands) 2. All property of said individual will be given to injured party. All law implied will have nothing to do sharia rules but true rule of law. Parties found quilty will also adopt two large dogs and live their lives in humility serving pork-pull meals for those in need. Amen.

Which year was this .which city in Germany.. at which police station was the criminal complaint filed ?
