I Called It – Schlussel Flashback ’07: “Tom Brady, Woman of the Year,” Poster Boy for Chickification of American Men

By Debbie Schlussel

Not sure why everyone is so up in arms about NFLer Randy Moss saying that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady looks like a girl in his effeminate Justin Bieber haircut.  He does and he is.  I called it back in 2007, when I named Brady, the DebbieSchlussel.com Woman of the Year.

The guy is a wimp.  He’s a pretty boy who does whatever the real man in his relationship, supermodel Giselle Bundchen, tells him.  TMZ used to follow him in New York and call him, “Errand Boy!  Errand Boy!” because he wore a man purse and ran around the city picking up her packages and doing her errands, even while he was supposed to be healing from a serious leg injury during the NFL season.  It’s why I often refer to him as “Tom Brady-ette” on this site. And that’s not to mention how he basically abandoned his son and the kid’s mother, supermodel Bridget Moynahan, for Bundchen.  None of that is the behavior of a real man.  I can’t call out men in Black America for doing that and not call out Tom Brady for doing it, too.  The damage to American society is the same.

And, as I noted then, Brady posed in these really effeminate cologne ads, looking very girly.  Now, with his stupid haircut, he looks like a pre-op tranny.  He says his wife won’t let him cut it.  Spoken like a true wimp.  Dude, be a man.  And if it were just him, I’d say, who cares?  Unfortunately, he’s the poster boy for the ongoing chickification of American men–for America as GirlieMan Nation.

I never liked this guy.  Not only does he have an obsession with female supermodels–normal for a red-blooded guy–he thinks he is one, himself (not normal at all).  He neither looks nor behaves masculine.  If I had a son, he’s not the kind of guy I’d want for a role model for my kid.  Sadly, the guy  has fathered two sons by two different women.  And I predict neither one of those boys will turn out all that great.

So, yes, Randy Moss–no great epitome of American role model, himself–is correct.  Yes, Tom Brady looks like a girl.  But I call it the way it is, going a step further.  He is one.

Tom Brady is the prototype chickified, feminized, wimpy American man and the spokesmodel for the girlification of American men.  As an NFL star, he might have the most macho job in the world.  But his behavior isn’t that of a man.

Sadly, more and more American “men” look and act just like him.  And that’s the problem.

How many Al-Qaeda dudes walk around looking like Tom Brady?  Not many.

I hate to say this, but Debbie is more of a man than this guy is (and I am not in the least taking anything away from Debbie as a lady).

I_AM_ME on October 11, 2010 at 4:46 pm

You can look like a male model but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a man – and how much of a man would you be to let the woman walk all over you?

There can’t be two women in a relationship. And an America without real men won’t be able to defend itself at home and abroad from its enemies.

NormanF on October 11, 2010 at 7:08 pm

And this dude looking like a lady is important how??? With all that is going on in the world, picking out guys that are ladies is so stupid. I don’t care who he dates, has kids with or how many are girls and boys, nor will I “predict” how they will be when they are grown, so the point?

KL: Only morons don’t think the feminization of America and its men is a problem. Think a feminized country and feminized men are how we’re gonna beat the Islamic threat? Look at all the feminized societies and matriarchies. Those are the ones that die out. Wake up. DS

@Ds Homosexuality has become a fad, the cool thing to do, cross dressers too, acceptable by all, and you change that, more power to you….so spending time talking about a man that clearly is not a homosexual is serving what purpose? I do not see him with pantyhose on or a dress so because he has a stupid haircut then that is something to get alarmed about? Get alarmed about gay parades where they dress all out and gyrate as they are walking down the road and men are dressing as women but humping other men dressed as women, so you want a real problem to fix, try that one instead of hairdos. That alarms me more!

Kimberly Lancaster on October 11, 2010 at 6:20 pm

@Ds Silly me, I’m the Moron worried about the real dangers…………………….but you are so educated and know so much, that you worry about hairdos………yup, you’re one of them kind!

Kimberly Lancaster on October 11, 2010 at 6:23 pm

Debbie is a woman. And what she has written is not politically correct but women need men to create a safe place for them in this world. Think human nature has changed much in the past century or two? Think again. We’re not going to be much of a threat to those who want to kill us until we bring men back into the picture. No matriarchy has ever survived – try to find one in the history books.

NormanF on October 11, 2010 at 7:17 pm

Our society is definitely more feminized than it was in the 40’s. Look what we did to our enemies in WWII. Brady is just another symptom.

Not to mention that all of Brady’s successful superbowl runs will always be tainted by the systemized cheating the Pats were found guilty of.

He’s a fraud as a winning QB and yes, “dude looks like a lady.”

united states of sharia on October 11, 2010 at 6:04 pm

I would say at least he plays football but if you’ve seen him play anytime he takes a tough hit he runs to the refs and cries like a little girl and the refs usually throw a flag for roughing the passer. He usually starts crying to the media after the game about how quarterbacks need to be protected. The balls on this guy is stunning, he started it with moss by telling him to shave his beard? hahaha

IAM, you got it right about Debbie. As for Brady I think he needs to take a tip from the dos equis beer dude.

Ugh. I have no use for this fembot anymore.

I can’t stand guys who don’t marry women, impregnate them, then leave them and marry another.

Brady is NOT a real man, yes, he is a girlie nancy-boy and his first son is going to have issues because he does not have Daddy full time, but son #2 sure does (or more so than #1). What a mess up.

Classless. Hard to feel sorry for BM since she acted as she was married but wasn’t…and her little boy will pay dearly for that.

Those that don’t care about such issues are part of the problem.

Skunky on October 11, 2010 at 7:16 pm

Yes, Brady’s long hair makes him look like a girl. But hey,Moss:It’s alright for Black players nowadays,to wear cornrows and dreadlocks halfway down their backs – you know, in a way that makes them look like girls? I sense a racial thing here.

Phineas on October 11, 2010 at 11:35 pm

The gender dysphoria we are witnessing is largely the result of the deployment of sophisticated psychological weapons by social engineers.
Independent filmmaker Lenon Honor has done much to expose this sort of thing, particularly his film segment “The Devolution of the Manhood Archetype” available for free download via http://www.lenonhonorfilms.com/videodownloadpage.html

“Hip Hop The Hidden Hand & The Degradation of Black Masculinity” is another one worth watching for those interested in these issues.

If this is the best debbie you can come up with is Tom Brady it must be a slow day…..with ALL the issues this country has I don’t think Tom Brady’s hair is very high on the list…

G: You must not be a regular reader of this site, and clearly, you didn’t read the post. On this site, we regularly lambaste the feminization of America’s men, and I clearly wrote that this goes beyond Tom Brady’s haircut. It’s about the feminization of America’s men and the decline of American society. RIF–Reading Is Fundamental. Try it sometime . . . before premature articulation. DS

Am I the only one who thinks it is weird when women use “woman” as a put down?

M: Am I the only one who thinks it is weird when men defend the feminization of men in America and think it’s a problem when someone points it out? I sure hope not. DS

Mike on October 12, 2010 at 9:21 am

I didn’t defend anything. It’s just weird to me that women use woman as a negative, a way to demean someone.

Mike on October 12, 2010 at 10:52 am

I often wondered if he is a proud owner of a “tramp stamp” tatooed on his lower back. Would not surprise me.

Also, I wonder if these Miller Lite commercials got their inspiration from and are paying homage to Tom Brady?:

I’m not a close follower of football, let alone the chosen coifs of the players. All I know is that I would consider the photo Debbie has displayed to illustrate her point, to be more “retro” than “effeminate.” In the 1976 olympics, Bruce Jenner was considered the epitome of American masculinity, and he won all his medals with a Beatle hairstyle that by the mid 70s, was pretty much commonplace among men from all sides of the political spectrum. The late Johnny Ramone, probably the only rock star who’s politics were right of Ted Nugent’s, made that type of hair his signature look.

I would call that ‘do that Tom Brady is sporting standard Mick Jagger hair. Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino and Warren Beatty all had it throughout most of the 1970s, and I have never heard anybody use the word “effete” to describe any of them (although I’ve heard a few other words that will not be repeated here).

Irving on October 12, 2010 at 11:56 am

Hey, now that Brady is officially a girly man he should try out or play for the LFL. Also, I agree with Debs. Ever since he got together with that Brundchen man-chick, Brady’s gotten softer. She’s got the balls in the clan. He’s her gopher-boy. No spine, pride or manhood left in that dude. Basically, he’s a sissy-boy as we used to say. Doesn’t really say much for the New England man pool, does it?

Feminization my ass Debbie. You’re talking about an NFL quarterback–they don’t come in “wimpy” flavors. You might find him a little too pretty for your cookie-cutter tastes but if you got in his way on the field he’d jam a cleat in your chest as he ran over you.

People forget these guys are monsters. They’re physically giants, mentally and physically strong (like a soldier in combat), and just because this kid is a pretty-boy doesn’t change the fact that he can read a defense in his sleep. And at 6’4 and 225lbs, hes one of the smallest guys on the field…

Joe Schmo on October 12, 2010 at 5:48 pm

Pre-op tranny! LMAO! Wow, that’s harsh… but very funny.

BernardL on October 12, 2010 at 6:40 pm

I don’t see that haircut as being girly, it smacks more of like the 1970’s more than anything else.

Barb on October 12, 2010 at 7:06 pm

While I admire Brady’s ability to read defenses and make good decisions ON the field, it’s OFF the field that I wonder about. Debbie, you nailed it back in ’07! Brady is a SYMPTOM of the REAL problem in our society: the feminization of men and boys, and it started WAY back in the early 1960’s with the advent of radical feminism. A good reference on this topic would be Christina Hoff Sommers (sp?). http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_22?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=christina+hoff+sommers&sprefix=christina+hoff+sommers

Dude is so 1975. Ancient, and without any facial hair…fruity.
Hope he meets Mr. Sue from the Lions in full sack mode.

Truth on October 13, 2010 at 9:43 am

You call him Tom Brady-ette?

Come on!

I can think of three better nicknames without breaking a sweat. Marcia Brady. Jan Brady. Cindy Brady. I think Jan Brady works best because it’s a one-syllable name just like Tom.

Of course Jan was the whiney one, so it works that way too…

Tom “Jan” Brady. I like the sound of that.

Ari on October 13, 2010 at 3:14 pm

While I couldn’t agree more that our law and culture are anti-male, I am not convinced that the best way to address this is by taunting some guy who, evidently in love, does some chores for his girl and (according to him) pays some attention to what his girl finds appealing. I mean, it’s not like he’s wearing pearls and pumps. Nor does he look feminine, as several others have also pointed out.

His status as a babydaddy is another matter entirely. Babbydaddies are not “feminized” so much as adolescent–boys in men’s bodies. I think classic men’s movement books develop such themes pretty well.

skzion on October 14, 2010 at 12:00 am

Plain and simple… Brady is a douchebag.
