That’s Conservative?: “View” Hag Elisabeth Hasselbeck Condemns AZ Immigration Law, Praises Levin’s Goldman Sachs Tirade

By Debbie Schlussel

I think it’s cold and we’re in hell.  Yet another day with that locale and temperature when Whoopi “I Don’t Believe We Landed on the Moon” Goldberg, Sherri ” I Don’t Believe the Earth is Round” Shepherd, and Joy “I’m a Leftist Yenta” Behar are the voices of reason on ABC’s “The View.”  But they were, sort of.

elisabethhasselbeck.jpgstfu

STFU Candidate of the Year

On today’s edition of the unbearable anti-male yenta hag-fest, faux-conservative and genuine airhead Elisabeth Hasselbeck condemned the new Arizona immigration law as being “very wrong.”  She equated the Arizonans enforcing the law with the illegal aliens breaking it.  “They’re both wrong.”  The mindless Hasselbeck also called for national laws addressing illegal aliens.  I guess she never heard:  we’ve had them on the books for decades.  They just aren’t being enforced.  That’s why Arizona has to enforce them, moron.  Here’s a tip, Elisabeth:  the Immigration and Nationality Act–google it.  Or try reading a paper.

Then, she defended far-left Senator Carl Levin’s S-word filled tirade against Goldman Sachs executives, saying that she liked it because “now, at least there’s some accountability.”  Goldberg, Behar, and Shepherd thought the tirade was wrong and inappropriate and tried to talk some sense to shrill, knee-jerk airhead Hasselbeck, who loved it.  I guess her buddy and fellow airhead, Sean Vannity, forgot to pass along the FOX News talking points to the mousy bim, this morning.

As you know, I’ve been covering her dumbass remarks from the very beginning, whether it was her praise for Al Sharpton, Snoop Dogg, Title IX, affirmative action, Obama’s nomination of Sonia Sotomayor, Michelle Obama, and songs glorifying lesbianism,  or her attacks on Ann Coulter (and defense of Canada silencing her), Rush Limbaugh (she called him a “killer of dreams, a dream killer”), the Cambridge police officer who arrested Henry Louis “Skip” Gates, Jr., her calls for firing Don Imus, etc., etc., ad nauseam.  She also said John McCain was the most conservative man running for the Republican nomination for President in 2008.  And that’s not to mention  her outing of a federal air marshal on national television, against his wishes.  The chick is a liberal and a complete dummy, NOT a conservative.

It’s, frankly, a huge embarrassment to call this rodent-esque woman a conservative.    She’s nothing but vacant and vapid.  I thought “Survivor” (the only reason she’s “famous”) was a 30 day show, not a 30-year one.  But, judging by this woman’s uber-ignorance, I must be wrong.

Hasselbeck. . . . I have in the past defended you. . .BUT I no longer will. You get what you deserve for stabbing our cause in the back. You need to learn some history right before you beg our forgiveness for your faux pas. Hasselbeck is becoming more and more like the Hollywood pawns I hate. Shame on you, Elisabeth.

Funny when Elizabeth spent time living in AZ for a few months (while her loser husband was back up QB for the Cardinals). She lived in Paradise Valley, the most expensive area of Arizona. I bet she would never live in Phoenix or send her kids to public school in Phoenix. Try living with all the drugs and crime and then you can say it is wrong. Ask the cops who have been shot in the face by illegals or the rancher who was just killed on the border. What a joke she is, it makes me sick!!

Athena on April 28, 2010 at 5:14 pm

You are correct. Lizzie is the sort who lives in gated communities and high end luxury hotels. That is her world, and everything is an abstraction to her. To such people, mindless platitudes and prepackaged opinions are the most natural of things, since the rough real world rarely intrudes into their lives. The ranchers who get shot and the victims of kidnappings and robberies are simply unimportant when held against the declamations of La Raza and Al Sharpton. The possibility of some Hispanic somewhere having his life delayed by being asked for identification really does trump all other considerations. Let the bloodbath continue, but never shall a green card been seen by a police officer, lest it bring a tear to Pablo’s cheek.

No one I know ever thought EH was conservative. The least liberal of the cackling hens, but not conservative.

Oscar on April 28, 2010 at 5:48 pm

Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s only real talent is to make Sean Hannity look good. That’s perhaps why they keep her on “The View”. The leftist women on the show’s panel are far more informed than her. She’s not and has never been a conservative.

NormanF on April 28, 2010 at 5:50 pm

I think Mrs. Hasselbeck should maybe call herself a moderate Democrat. Conservative, in any aspect, doesn’t really seem to fit. More of a Rhino. I think Debbie has shown very clearly what a true conservative is, and God Bless her for it.

Bob C on April 28, 2010 at 6:11 pm

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not a mindless conservative bimbot. She has a spine made of steel. Good for you EH!

Norman Blitzer on April 28, 2010 at 6:18 pm

For the life of me, I can’t understand why anybody in their right mind, especially conservatives, would watch that show. I think I’ve seen 5 minutes worth in my life:
1) Behar (who I believe says she’s Catholic, not Jewish…though I wonder)- defending Ron Paul for talking about something called “pahh-licy”, pertaining to the mideast. …My constipation was immediately cured.
2) Hasselbeck – who seemed to me to drift in from the shopping channel. Might as well have been Kelly Bundy ca 1988.

The world is falling apart and people actually watch this drek? To quote the name of one of the commentors here: Who Cares?

Not Ovenready on April 28, 2010 at 6:21 pm

Behar is an Italian (sadly) American raised catholic. Her ex-hub is/was Jewish. Behar is a Jewish name.

    mk750 on April 29, 2010 at 4:15 am

1. thats why they put her there in the first place

2. all these liberals have $$ most of them have no ethnic friends
they never go to the areas where immigrants and majoritys live

so its easy to dictate to those fly over people ….i want to ask them if it would be ok if someone they knew was killed or attacked by illegals or run over by drunk laborer – would it be ok then ??
no then they would be doing the exact same thing as the arizonians
and no one seems to have read the law its all just spin

dems are playing this for the elections everyone knows it

drew299 on April 28, 2010 at 6:54 pm

I think it has much more to do with mindset than number of immigrants (legal and illegal). Here is Seattle there are a lot of immigrants and I really don’t believe this state would pass the same law as AZ.

It just doesn’t seem like a good way to solve the problem.

Pete Bone on April 28, 2010 at 9:49 pm

we need debbie on the view that
would be fun

drew299 on April 28, 2010 at 6:55 pm

I don’t have much to add other than the fact I’m disgusted and I really liked hearing hasselback called a hag. The title fits perfectly and I think she should get her own show on the hag network HLN.

tyler on April 28, 2010 at 7:12 pm

Well, if the hags on The View are typical, maybe there were valid historical reasons for not giving women the right to vote.

Little Al on April 28, 2010 at 7:17 pm

or at least most women

Little Al on April 28, 2010 at 7:20 pm

Just look up the word NEOCON in the dictionary AND YOU WILL FIND A PICTURE OF Elizabeth Hasselbeck!

THAT DUMB BLOND SHOULD SHUT UP AND ABC GIVE THE VIEW’S TIMESLOT BACK TO THE STATIONS!

Bob Porrazzo on April 28, 2010 at 7:30 pm

“Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not a mindless conservative bimbot. She has a spine made of steel. Good for you EH!

Norman Blitzer on April 28, 2010 at 6:18 pm”

OH SAYS YOU GLOBALIST!

Bob Porrazzo on April 28, 2010 at 7:32 pm

EH loves the one she’s with. Behar is one of those angry broads who’s jealous she’s never been hot wearing a swimsuit, and regrets those who are- a typical femi-yenta.

Patrick on April 28, 2010 at 7:46 pm

And of course Sarah Palin will hold massive rallies around the country supporting the Arizona law. BTW when is the first one scheduled? I must have missed the notice; oh, yeah, I remember, she supports open borders.

And what about the other pseudo-conservatives, Romney, Gingrich and the rest of these retreads? This is crunch time; any Republican hopeful who is not front in center in supporting the continuance and extension of the Arizona law is not worthy of our support in 2012. Silence or evasion now means they are really for open borders. Anyone who is fooled by them has the mentality of Hasselbeck.

Little Al on April 28, 2010 at 7:55 pm

Joy Behar, a yenta? She ain’t Jewish (thank G-d for that!).

But I guess you don’t have to be Jewish to be a yenta.

Dave on April 28, 2010 at 7:55 pm

Another excellent post, Debbie.

I second Little Al’s (at 7:55 pm) motion of using Arizona’s new immigration law as a test for determining who is a real conservative. Real conservatives support the law, and any purported conservative who even are even so much as fence-sitters, let alone oppose it, are not conservatives. That means that that leaves Elisabeth Hasselbeck out.

JeffE on April 28, 2010 at 8:04 pm

Maybe EH and Vannity have something extra curricular going on…..

Jarhead on April 28, 2010 at 8:05 pm

Sorry for my extra “even.”

JeffE on April 28, 2010 at 8:05 pm

When California voters approved Proposition 187 I don’t believe Arizona was planning any boycotts against us.

#1 Vato on April 28, 2010 at 8:34 pm

Hey Debbie: Any way you can block “Moron Shit-zer”, aka: Norman Blitzer, off this site? It’s quite evident he’s a waste of DNA and breathing our air. Maybe he can audition for a spot on “The Spew” as the male subject matter expert for libtard lunacy.

IceNoMore on April 29, 2010 at 1:05 am

Yeah? Well we have a real dumbass in MN… St Paul Mayor Chris Coleman says he is banning all publicly funded travel to Arizona to “take a stand” against good immigration control laws. He said it’s important for cities across the country to show their opposition to the legislation. — From MPR News: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2010/04/28/coleman-bans-travel-over-crackdown/

Steve Tew on April 29, 2010 at 1:26 am

I don’t have anywhere else to vent my anger so I’ll do it here. I don’t watch a lot of fox news these days but turned it on tonight and was disgusted with their fair and balanced approach to the az law. Its very disturbing how they seem to be taking the side of the illegals. I haven’t heard them mention the assaults and threats made during the protests by the mexicans. Just more proof that fox news is the network of john mccain who I think will have a starring role on van susterans show tomorrow night.

tyler on April 29, 2010 at 2:05 am

The View is an entertainment show, a bit like listening to Ann Coulter. Don’t take any of them seriously.

Besides…they just remind me why God makes certain that everyone eventually dies.

The Terrorist's Advocate on April 29, 2010 at 9:05 am

TTA – i do take most everything ann coulter says seriously. at this moment, i can’t think of a single thing i disagree with her on. i think she speaks for many/most conservatives.

howardroark on April 29, 2010 at 11:19 am

Ann Coulter? Can she make ANY TV appearances without cleavage?
Conservative, sort of, Slutty, sort of……

      Laurie J on August 28, 2012 at 7:19 pm

After hearing about five minutes of Mrs. EH, it became quite clear that she is about as “conservative” and “republican” as Colin Powell. There is a concentrated effort by the left-wing media in this country to ensure idiots like these two are held out as model conservative thinkers/role models. It makes the rest of the conservatives [real ones] seem fringe because they attack them and gets the mindless left and center to vote Demo because they blur the lines of difference–why vote for another party when they are all pretty much the same…

Sean J on April 29, 2010 at 9:42 am

Okay she is a moron but I think everyone must chill out here about the immigration law. Does either the left or the right really want a true immigration law? No, because they are scared to death of losing all the money that these illegals pour into our social security under the same shared social security numbers. What would happen if we shipped everyone back or jailed them (talk about the costs then)? You want more tax increases? We can’t afford not to keep the majority of the illegals around. Remember they do the majority of jobs that most of us wouldn’t regardless of our race and they will get nothing in return of paying into the system. I am not advocating opening up the borders, we need to shut them down but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves and say arrest them and ship them back to Mexico. Most of the Mexican illegals are of the christian faith and follow a peaceful doctrine unlike the radical Muslims that seem to infiltrate this country.

Mike on April 29, 2010 at 10:37 am

To be honest with you folks on this site, I have NEVER nor I will EVER watch the hag-fest (as Debbie calls it, LOFL) the View, to me Elisabeth Hasselbeck is nothing but a “check-skirt-Republican” & a “faux-conservative”.

Hey Hasselbeck you airheaded dumbass, don’t you notice that your taking the side of 20-30 million illegal-alien criminals who BTW Hasselbeck broke US LAWS! Debbie, this is the same woman who makes excuses and apologizes for Sarah Palin, she made excuses for Palin a few months ago when Palin was giving a speech at a Tea Party meeting and Ms. Palin was reading notes off of her hand. Debbie, it doesn’t surprise where Hasselbeck is coming from, she is part in parcel of the establishment in, she might as a well be a left winger, because what she claims these days is nothing related to right wing viewpoints.

And BTW, I bet that Lee in the US is going to come over here, defend and make every excuse for this airhead Hasselbeck, Debbie if Lee posts on this board try banning this loser because he just talks out of this ass like the imbecile he is.

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!!

“A nation is identified by it’s borders, language & culture!”

Sean R. on April 29, 2010 at 10:40 am

why does she think she’s a conservative? people must be constantly explaining to her why her views clearly are not conservative, i would think.

maybe the view realizes how her personal confusion makes conservatism appear to be inconsistent for the ignorant masses watching that crap and that’s why they keep her on???

howardroark on April 29, 2010 at 10:41 am

I’m glad The View is around, same for Oprah, Ellen, Rachael Ray, and most talk shows during the day.. It helps me weed out the people I don’t want to talk to or hang around.

These shows are for the dummies who let TV tell them want to think and appeals to people who live off caricatures and labels. These shows are so dull it amazes me there are more than 10 people who watch them.

And, no, Debbie shouldn’t be on The View. Hassleback should be because she fits and is safe. It would be a major step down for Debbie to be one of the regulars.

Jeff_W on April 29, 2010 at 11:44 am

On the subject of AZ’s new laws, where do you think these illegals will go when they start leaving AZ? They are going to invade CA and NM, they will not go back to that third world sh#thole of mexico.

AZ should take a page from mexico’s immigration laws and prisons and turn some of our jails into illegal only sites and treat these illegals just the way they would be treated in a mexican prison. Then we re-introduce chain gangs and make these law breakers build a DMZ on the mexican border. Make them even dig holes for land mines so that when they are forcefully returned to mexico, they can tell all of their friends about the death that awaits them if they try to cross the border illegally. (Buzzards gotta eat too)

Jarhead on April 29, 2010 at 12:36 pm

Jarhead…like the idea of using them to create the DMZ but can’t have them digging the mine holes…they might remember and let their buddies know where they are so they can avoid them. That way it is not only a surprise for them but a loud bright notification to the border patrols of activity within the DMZ.

Sean J on April 29, 2010 at 1:19 pm

Sean R. – when the mines don’t work, that’s when the automated machine guns and forced energy weapons with Infrared and Radar tracking come into play.

Jarhead on April 29, 2010 at 1:31 pm

Bob Porrazzo — I am a neocon. ELizabeth Hasselbeck is no neocon.

Philip_Daniel on April 29, 2010 at 2:26 pm

ELizabeth Hasselbeck has been bought and paid for the by the Globalists at the CFR/trilateral commission.
She supports just about everything that the Rockefeller One Wold Government elitists want for America.
