“HAMAS Exercise Video”: FOX News “Health Report” is Anti-Israel Propaganda

By Debbie Schlussel

I’ve repeatedly warned you about PAWNN–the Prince Al-Waleed News Network–a/k/a FOX News.  The anti-Israel world view of Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal, the Saudi billionaire who is the second largest shareholder in News Corp. and its FOX News, is quickly seeping into FOX News as his investments with Rupert Murdoch increase.  And not just to the cable network, but some of its owned and operated stations, like my local FOX News-run FOX affiliate, FOX 2 a/k/a FOX 2. FOX News runs and oversees this station and its “news” operation, and, in the recent past, when I’ve called the station to complain about the station’s frequent anti-Israel, pan-Islamic coverage, FOX News officials have responded.

deenacentofanthamaslogobigger

Deena Centofanti: FOX News “Health Reporter,” HAMAS Tool

Check out this sickening, uh, “health” story video, below,  “reported” by incompetent FOX 2 News and sometime anchor Deena Centofanti. It’s pure anti-Israel propaganda. The “report” ran Wednesday Night on the station’s newscast (and on several other newscasts, during the day, Thursday).  In fact, it has nothing to do with health at all.  It’s a blatant anti-Israel video screed, with Centofanti doing no reporting.  In fact, you’ll notice the FOX 2 News microphone is in the hands of the Palestinian activist, who perpetuated this ridiculous story.  And Centofanti puts forth whatever she says as fact, with no opposing viewpoint, no form of objective journalism whatsoever.

The cover story:  a Palestinian Muslim girl from Gaza is frightened for her life because she was shot in her leg with bullets, has a scar, and can’t walk correctly . She’s come to America for surgery from kind Muslims who will make things better.  She’s scared whenever she sees planes.  Although this girl, Falesteen (which, yes, means “Palestine”) Tambora, never mentions Israel, nor is the country mentioned in the story, the “evil” target of the story is clear.  This isn’t a health story.  It’s not about how to lose weight or beat cancer.  It’s about, “Israel is evil.”

And now for a reality check on who this girl is, why she’s here, and who the family is with whom she’s staying:

The Elder family, which is hosting this girl and contacted FOX News, is a well-known, anti-Israel, Palestinian Muslim family.  Judge Charlene Elder, for example, is an extremist Detroit-area judge who wears a hijab and selected Muslim employees and cronies for jobs, including as her bailiff.  Mahrah Elder, the woman “translating” and speaking into the microphone, is from the same Elder family.  Mrs. Elder is part of the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, a “charity” which works with HAMAS and which Israeli and U.S. authorities have long suspected is a conduit of Islamic terrorism financing. Of course, Centofanti–the irresponsible regurgitator, er . . . “reporter”–fails to tell you that. Instead, she just claims it’s a “humanitarian” organization.

We don’t know how this girl got her scar.  We don’t know who shot her.  It could very easily have been–and it likely was–friendly fire from her HAMAS terrorist countrymen.  And Deena Centofanti doesn’t know how the girl was shot either.  Yet, she reported the girl’s story as fact.  The girl could have sought the best medical treatment in the world in Israeli hospitals, long ago.  As I’ve repeatedly pointed out on this site over the years, Israeli hospitals and doctors are well-known for treating and healing Palestinians of all stripes, even terrorists who’ve just tried to blow up Israeli Jews.  In one of thousands of such cases, for example, Israeli soldiers and doctors rescued a Palestinian girl from Palestinians who paralyzed her.

But the ethos of the HAMASniks, including–likely–Falesteen’s parents, is that they refuse treatment from Jews, they refuse to be in Jewish hospitals, and they refuse to be anywhere near Jews.  Their hatred for Jews and Israel usually trumps all health concerns for daughters like Falesteen.  They’d rather their daughter walk around, hobbled with a scar, than accept the kindness of the Jews.  That’s usually the way.  Or, frankly, not accepting treatment and, instead, traveling to America for it, makes a great propaganda story for American TV News . . . especially when the station is owned in significant part by a Saudi Prince who already publicly donated gazillions to Palestinian homicide bomber telethons.

Deena Centofanti, who clearly has no reporting skills to speak of, should stick to stories about energy drinks and exercise bikes.  Her video regurgitation of HAMAS propaganda in the form of a health story is poison for her viewers.

Contact Deena Centofanti (Deena.Centofanti@FoxTV.com) and let her know what you think of her “HAMAS exercise video.”  Or better yet, call her and her boss, Dana Kennedy Hahn:  (248) 395-FOX2, then press 1, then press 1 again, and when you are connected with the newsroom, ask for either Hahn or  Centofanti (and leave a message on the HAMAS tools’ voicemails).  Call Centofanti’s irresponsible “producer,” who put this story together and leave a message there, too (248-552-5266).

And watch this video about where Palestinians who actually care about their kids–rather than using them for propaganda–actually get real healthcare for their injured children . . . something you won’t likely soon see in a FOX News local station’s “health report”:

As I wrote when I first posted this video:

The Palestinian mother is wrong about one thing. If this had been Palestinians who found a Jewish girl dying, they’d have finished her and her parents off. That’s the difference between these these two peoples. Period. Time to wake up and smell the rotten shawarmeh, woman.

Also well past time for Deena Centofanti and FOX News to wake up and smell it.

Being anti-zionist has become acceptable code for being anti-semitic. I don’t understand why the world continues to accept anti-semitism when so many other forms of prejudice are now (rightly) considered unacceptable.

Jennifer on March 26, 2010 at 11:58 am

Saw this….
The report mentioned how afraid the children are of planes – but never really explained the ‘violence’ that resulted in her being shot in the leg. Pure propaganda.
Side note: Amazingly hairy legs for a young girl.

Steve on March 26, 2010 at 12:05 pm

Debbie, I just don’t see Fox News slipping in favor of Hamas or Muslims in general. Fox News is the only news outlet to acknowledge major Christian and Jewish religious holidays during their station break announcements. Perhaps a local station in Detroit favors or is partial to Muslims but then look at the local population.

O: Those greetings are meaningless. I care about news coverage. And that, indeed, IS slipping. FOX News runs my local FOX News outlet. Please don’t be sated by useless holiday greetings. They are irrelevant and have nothing to do with the price of tea in China. DS

Robin Shepherd’s “A State Beyond the Pale” describes the pathology of hostility toward Israel in the European context but goes on to show how that hostility has begun to seep into the American scene. Well worth the read if you can find it. Shepherd, a European scholar, was pressured to leave Chatham House for the temerity of writing an article positve towards Israel.

Over Passover week, we’ll see the media go into overdrive about the evils of Jews building in “east” Jerusalem. The world is against red-lining but applying apartheid to the Jews in Jerusalem is kosher. The one place they mustn’t be permitted to build in and live in freely is their own capital.

No – I’m not asking Fox News or the rest of the media to be “pro-Israel.” How about just be even-handed instead of regurgitating anti-Israel propaganda as if it was proven fact. One thing hasn’t changed in this new century. The world’s hatred of the Jews.

NormanF on March 26, 2010 at 1:08 pm

I’m surprised they didn’t bring back Fanchon Al-Stinker for a cameo to do this propoganda piece.

BC on March 26, 2010 at 1:23 pm

Oscar… or with Israel’s leader being treated like Ahmedinejad – of whom Obama is so solicitous and understanding. Oops – but he isn’t!

Engagement and treating other countries with deference and mutual respect as you might have guessed, does not apply to the world’s only Jewish State.

THAT needs to be contained – NOT Iran!

NormanF on March 26, 2010 at 1:38 pm

Nice reporting DS

buckjohnson on March 26, 2010 at 2:13 pm

Also please stay on this story

buckjohnson on March 26, 2010 at 2:14 pm

This may be the most ignorant, reactionary thing I’ve ever read. First, the story isn’t about who shot her, it’s about how the U.S (the greatest country in the world) was kind enough to treat this girl. She wasn’t treated by Hamas here, she was treated by Americans. I dare you to provide proof that any of the medical professionals who cared for her are terrorists.
Secondly, I know a great many people who work at Fox 2. I encourage you to pay more attention to who’s reading the news. They have more people of the Jewish Faith on air than any of the other stations COMBINED. Murray Feldman, Sherry Margolis, Rich Luterman, and Robin Schwartz to name a few. Do you really think they’re engaged in anti-Israeli propaganda? Really?
I know you have an agenda, Debbie, but please, try to weave some facts into your posts in the future.

CE: What does the number of Jewish reporters (most of whom are lefties) have to do with the price of tea in China? I don’t care how many Jewish reporters work there. That doesn’t give the station the right to run this anti-Israel BS disguised as a “health report.” And some of the “Jewish reporters” there–like Robin Schwartz have their noses up the butt of the Islamic community–so their religion makes no difference. Robin Schwartz writes for the pan-Islamic Jewish News and did a report praising pro-terrorist, Muslim-dominated ACCESS–an Arab welfare agency. She’s a piece of crap. And a fraud. Not to mention, a horrid reporter. Rich Luterman is a weatherman. And, yet, unlike Centofanti, he doesn’t weave Middle Eastern propaganda into the reports of snow and rain. Terrorism is everyone’s issue, not just the Jews. Sadly, you don’t see that. Scary. The story was anti-Israel. BTW, say hi to my friends at FOX 2, since clearly you are an employee there and your comments are CYA. Everything I wrote was a fact. Everything you wrote is irrelevant and of red herring status. DS

    @Charles Evensgood on March 26, 2010 at 2:44 pm

Sorry, Charley. This IS about vilifying Israel. That’s all those beasts live for, to lie about Israel and America, and to advocate their destruction.

Her “story” is classic paleo-narrative, designed to elicit sympathy for “victimized” monsters, and hatred for those who victimized this “poor innocent” critter, who was “shot in the legs WITH BULLETS!” And, she’s “afraid of planes,” too. (The paleos don’t have planes, only Israel does)

She’s doing her little victim Schtick, just like they’ve been doing for at least the last decade, and we aren’t falling for it.

All hate, all the time.” IT’s just who they are.

yonason on March 26, 2010 at 3:10 pm

SLIP OF THE PEN?

“That’s the difference between these two countries,…” — D.S.

The Paleos are not a “COUNTRY.” They are not even a distinct “PEOPLE,” except in their being even wilder and more violent than most other Arabs.

The problem is that when we allow even the most long standing (and most fundamental) of their lies to slip into our vocabulary, we open the door to yet more of them. That’s how this all started to begin with. And we aren’t even aware of it anymore, to the extent that we can call them “palestinians” without the quotes.

They are NOT a “country” and never were, and they are not a distinct “people.” And so it would have been more correct to say, “That is the difference between Israel and the savages who call themselves ‘palestinians’.” (feel free to capitalize “Palestinians,” if you must)

Y: OOPS. You are correct. Fixed. DS

yonason on March 26, 2010 at 2:48 pm

yonason – I prefer “palestinians?”. The reason why should be obvious to anyone that knows the history and the facts.

    I_AM_ME on March 26, 2010 at 4:06 pm

They’re palestinians in the same way people who live in New York City are new-yorkers. Palestinians are arabs. They have the same language, culture, and religion as every other arab in the Middle East.

Well, Rupert Murdoch has always been about money first. He only patronizes conservatives, Christians and Jews because he wants their money. Murdoch has long held tons of business interests that would make his socially conservative customers appalled. Murdoch is simultaneously one of the world’s largest religious publishers AND one of the world’s largest proliferators of pornography and smut. That conservatives see Rupert Murdoch and NewsCorp as on their side instead of being just another businessman with an angle is amazing. Murdoch personally spoke up for Obama during the 2008 presidential election, and issued an order to the Fox News employees not to be too hard on him or to dig up any really damaging dirt on him. Even the Jeremiah Wright thing didn’t blow up until after Super Tuesday, when Obama already had the nomination wrapped up, and nothing really damaging came out (at least not from Fox) during the McCain-Obama noncampaign. As to why Murdoch ran interference for Obama and helped save his campaign? As they say, follow the money Debbie!

Of course, while you are at it, you would also have to follow the longtime and extensive financial ties between the Saudis and the Bush family as well.

Gerald on March 26, 2010 at 2:53 pm

I sincerely appreciate that you’re like a pitbull on a bone when it comes to hypocrisy, double standards and bullshit, Debbie.

I’d thought I was the only one detecting Fox News’ drift towards anti-Semite reporting. Then you went hammer and tong after the facts and it’s good to know I was right. Fox is ANYTHING but Conservative and pro-Constitutional America, the Republic.

“I will bless them that bless thee … “

jack mackenzie on March 26, 2010 at 3:03 pm

Are you people not paying attention? Many of the staff members at Fox 2 are JEWISH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or are you just choosing to ignore that? Come on. If you have a problem with Fox 2, maybe you should call the general manager, Jeff MURRI … yes, that’s right, MURRI.

CE: What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? I don’t care how many Jewish reporters work there. I’m curious about something. When they came to America for the operation, did they request that no Jews were to operate on her or handle her in any way? I noticed the name of the doctor was Jiab Suleiman, which sounds pretty arabian to me.

Oscar on March 26, 2010 at 12:44 pm”

Oscar you must really be that empty headed to be a part of the New World Order, which some people who appear on FNC are, like Rupert Murdoch, Prince Bin Talaal, they even have someone who is a part of the Council on Foreign Relations. That’s the group that doesn’t believe in borders. And Oscar it’s NO CONSPIRACY THEORY, IT’S A CONSPIRACY MEANT TO DESTROY AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY! READ IT FOR YOURSELF!

And WJBK, which is the Detroit Fox station has been Fox-owned since 1995 when Fox bought stations owned by New World/Gillett/Storer Communications, which WJBK at some times in their history was. And WJBK was a CBS station prior to becoming a part of the Bin Talaal News Network.

For the record NYC has a MAJOR PLAYER in this in WNYW 5, the flagship of Fox after some 30 years as a Metromedia-owned independent (WNEW-TV) and years before that a DuMont station WABD named for TV pioneer Allen B DuMont.

Bob Porrazzo on March 26, 2010 at 3:47 pm

Charles Evensgood, In most instances the reporters on screen aren’t the ones writing the news. The station’s on-air talent are reading something that was handed to them or posted on a teleprompter.

Anti-Israel propaganda is an art form and there are many different ways to promote the opposing point of view. They sometimes attack it head-on with blatant lies hoping some of it sticks. They also attack it with stories like this. And as Yonason points out, any reference to Palestine by a “reputable” news outlet could be considered misleading and meant to dictate public opinion.

Most of the stories have one thing in common, presupposition of false claims or overall negativity. For example, “Do you think the Israeli’s feel guilt when treating the Palestinians that way?” It assumes guilt, not objectivity.

Joe Schmo on March 26, 2010 at 3:53 pm

Israel should remove all Muslims from her borders(as defined by Israel) and take in Christians from Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and even Egypt. They would appreciate the fine medical care. Leave all the neighbors to their own devises, reclaiming only Bethlehem. There would still be some conflict, but not much. This needs to happen before Mr. Obama castrates Israel in the next several months….

EDS on March 26, 2010 at 4:17 pm

Israel should regain all lands that were captured during the 1967 war. Then they should build or whatever else they want to do and tell other countries, including this one, to stick their opinions where the sun don’t shine.

gerob on March 27, 2010 at 11:30 am

Chris – thanks for enlightening me. Now how about a little enlightenment for you. There seems to be a common thread between a lot of what Debbie writes about and the muslim threat to the world. As you should know, these arabs and muslims have vowed to wipe Israel off the map. God forbid this succeeds. Then who do think the muslims will go after, Chris? Christians, followed by all other people of faith that are not muslims.

Jarhead on March 27, 2010 at 10:59 am

    @Jarhead on March 27, 2010 at 10:59 am

A little over 30 years ago I was interested in learning about Islam. I got a couple of books from the library, and, after reading two things I returned the books in disgust. One of those two things was, and remains, their over-riding goal, “First the Saturday people, …and… then the Sunday people.”

And the, as I like to refer to them, “placentinians,” are among the worst. (I call them that because Israel is like a baby, these times being likened by our Sages to “birth pangs,” and when there’s a baby, there’s a placenta. But, once the baby is fully born, the birth pangs are over, and the placenta becomes medical waste, and is disposed of. May it be soon!)

P.s., “Jarhead” – My Dad was First Marines, Guadalcanal. So, what does that make me? Proud.

yonason on March 27, 2010 at 11:50 pm

@ yonason – I was required in college to take at least 5 religion classes, and I took a course about islam. I was told that it was an easy grade because it was taught by a blind, muslim, middle eastern woman who had assistants from the college help her read and grade the work (kinda sounds like a story Debbie would write about). Anyway, the course never came close to touching the evils of islam. Nothing was taught about sharia law, the despicable treatment of women and pedophilia. But most importantly, NOTHING was taught about muslims attitude towards the non-believers and their Death to the Infidels dogma. Yeah, I know this is not surprising, but this was at a Catholic University almost 20 years ago. This really makes me wonder what they are teaching today.

Guadalcanal you say? Very, very impressive. I hope he is still around to tell some war stories over some good bourbon and cigars.

Jarhead on March 28, 2010 at 11:39 am

        @Jarhead on March 28, 2010 at 11:39 am

“I hope he is still around to tell some war stories over some good bourbon and cigars.”

Sadly, no. But I do remember a few, like the one where an enemy bullet took the skin of his lips off as he was running from one foxhole to another. I remember asking him to see his purple heart, but he just smiled and said, “you don’t get a purple heart for a scratch.” (Kerry apparently never got that memo).

Here’s a picture (first at top of page) I found a few years ago, of a Marine on the Canal. It’s not my Dad (though it looks a bit like him), but those were his ‘tools’, if you will, the Thompson and the .30 cal.

As to what they are teaching about Islam in the schools now, I shudder to think.

yonason on March 28, 2010 at 2:39 pm

Careful, your pro muslim bias is showing. What difference does it make how she was injured if the report is about coming to this country to receive treatment. You also haven’t extensively studied anything regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict. It’s been going on for a lot longer than 90 years. Muslims have been committing atrocities against Jews and Christians in that region for a thousand years or more. You need to read Joan Peter’s book ‘From Time Immemorial’ if you want to know the truth of what’s been going on over there. But you won’t because it would challenge your anti-Israel point of view. As regards the article, scroll down to the bottom of the report and you’ll find 3 comments posted. All with an obvious pro-muslim slant.

gerob on March 27, 2010 at 11:52 am

This news story/propaganda is part of their jihad to trick Americans into sympathizing with the Muslim barbarians and into disliking the civilized Israelis.

Reminds me of a sob story in the Virginia Tech newspaper about a “Palestinian” astrophysicist (probably yet another terrorist studying at Virginia Tech and working for NASA), claiming that his son was killed by an Israeli bombing in Gaza: http://www.collegiatetimes.com/stories/12891/post-doc-mourns-son-lost-in-gaza-fighting

Reporters never ask for the Muslim to provide proof of the bombing or ask if they and their relatives were targeted because they were terrorists. We are just supposed to automatically sympathize with the Muslim.

JM on March 27, 2010 at 12:01 pm

I don’t watch much local “news”–every 3 minutes you get 3 minutes of advertising. I think the ad quota is close to 50% of the air time. Sick of that.

Fox 2 is the same station cess pool that spawned Fanchon Stinger, and excused her whoring around with Rayford Jackson, and let FaraCON do his shtick on the station in a suck up interview.

Yet, I always liked Deena, for some reason, I liked her as the nice girl next door–cute, friendly and just trying to do right it seemed. We all know these “news” reporters are just news readers and essentially talking head props, so not a lot to judge on but mostly impressions.

Well Deena, I like you NO MORE–you had to know that you were being used a propaganda tool in this spot–I have zero tolerance for that. If you didn’t realize that, you need to get a clue about who these people, the Elders, actually are.

BB on March 27, 2010 at 1:19 pm

Glad I don’t subscribe to the Fox cable “news” here in Canada. (btw that propaganda piece looked just like what was constantly being broadcast since the year 2000 by our very own little “Pravda”, and taxpayer supported and government run television station called the CBC…Some of the propaganda reports supporting terrorist suicide bombers were utterly beyond belief.)

J.S. on March 28, 2010 at 11:11 am

What’s with “the price of tea in China”? Three times inone day.

Why is it that these reporter’s religion makes no difference in this story but it makes all the difference in other stories? If they were Muslim, hell if they were Buddhist it would a key point. Why not here?

Also, I don’t trust FOX news as far as I can throw Sean Hannity, but this is a fluff piece. There is no subtext, no underlining theme,(maybe war is bad or it’s tough in the middle east and we’re great), but at the end it’s just a little filler. For an argument that FOX is anti-Israel this ain’t it.

Hi Debbie,

I talked to you once before about how Samer Ambushed me in Yemen then moved to the United States. And although I reported the crime the USA refused to protect me and marginalized me because they are trying to say I belong to the Al Ahmar family because I worked for Deloite and Touche Which consulted for SabaFon which Shiekh Hameed Al Ahmar is chair of.

The FBI and ICE know of this incident but I guess they think it is acceptable for Arabs to attack and kill Americans and I sometimes wonder whom put this guy up to it since there are so many Arabs who hate Americans working in the DOD like the Egyptian guy who was working for CIA who ruined my life career and reputation.

So anyways I told Samer he owes me for personal injury loss and he filed a PPO against me which violates my 2nd amendment rights. A most likely “hired terrorist thug” used the US court system to disarm the American citizen he victimized. And when I went to tell my case I got Judge Charlene Elder.

Samer was complaining I called him a Palistinian Terrorist but then he should of considered that before he agreed to kill and ambush westerners. Yet it seemed that my crime of complaining is worst then his battery, and I am being punished.

Since I spent many times around Arabs in my life I would say the way she dresses was sort of like Shitte and her guard looked like Lebanese Hisbollah guy.

Even though I don’t expect justice for this injury any time soon I will still fight for the right path and justice because I know the USA is filled with bad people and liars and it is very dangerous country especially since the war since they are funding certain types of really dangerous groups.

It is a shame that the judge would be bias to subject me to a situation which is harmful and dangerous to my future at the request at the man whom could of killed me before if I had not come back to consciousness. Maybe she needs to pray for God to show her the right path, because being in a gang on the side of the wrong , and injustice, just to protect people whom she might relate to if she is involved in Terror organizations is not okay.

I am appealing her decission…. And I am going to sue the state for violating my rights. I am afraid the government is marginalizing me and i have a bill of attainder issue. if that is the case they have stripped me of my rights as a citizen and i have been advised to leave the country because they are punishing me and continously making my life difficult for what reason I don’t know or what benefit they get??? It is probably just to cover there mistakes and abuse.

These Arabs are masteres of sneaky infiltration everywhere. Even a Jew Like Murdoch was fooled by them. The Goal of the Saudi is to become the America of the Middle East. They want to rule the world and to use America as their tool for that. They sought the demise of Saddam Hussein and pushe America to do it for them. Now they have to face Ahmadi Nigad. They want to overthrow Bashar El_Asad. America is following their lead. This would be wrong. You read Arabic very well mam. I will e-mail you an article written by a Kuweity journalist commenting on the election in Egypt. He is worried that if the Moslem Brother hoods win it it will be a calamity for all the Islamic countries. We all know who is financing the Hoods; the Saudis of course
