Wow, you could do a new improved version of 60 minutes. It looked to this observer that he began the interview with some illusion of romance jumping off eventually,lol. He’s got that dazed, in love look on his face, then he realizes that there are some questions to be answered.

What Does “Islam” Mean?
The word “Islam” itself means “Submission to Allah.” The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of “Christianity” which was named after Jesus Christ, “Buddhism” after Gutama Buddha , “Marxism” after Karl Marx, and “Confucianism” after Confucius.
Similarly, Islam is not named after a tribe like “Judaism” after the tribe of Judah and “Hinduism” after the Hindus. The Arabic word “Islam” means the submission or surrender of one’s will to the will of the only true god worthy of worship, “Allah” (known as God “the Father” in Christianity).
Anyone who does indeed submit to the will of Allah as required by Islam is termed a “Muslim,” which means one who has submitted to the will of Allah. Many people in the West have developed the sad misinformed trend of calling Islam “Muhammadenism” and it’s followers “Muhammadins.” This is a totally foreign word to Muslims and unrecognized by them. No Muslim has ever called his religion “Muhammadenism” or called himself a “Muhammadin.”
What Is The Basic Concept of Islam?
Islam teaches us that this life is a life of worship. We are placed on this earth in order to worship Allah and obey His command. During this earthly life we are subjected to a series of trials. We have the option of enduring these trials and conforming to certain laws, and our reward will be great in the next life, or we may decline to endure these trials and choose to not conform to the law, then we will be made to regret it in the next life.
Each person will be solely and completely responsible for their own final reward. We are also told that God has designed these laws to make this life a better, safer, and more tolerable one for us. If we elect to conform to them then we will see the result in this life even before moving on to the next.
We are told that the earthly life is a life of faith and work, and the next life is one of reward and no work. We have been placed on this earth to worship God, fast, pray, be industrious, good, kind, respectful, and a source of uprightness and morality. We are told that God has no need of our worship. Our worship can not increase the kingdom of God nor add to His power, however, it is in our best interests both in this life and the next that we do.
Unlike some other religions which claim that God entered in a covenant with a certain group of people and that this group is genetically better than all other human beings, or closer to God, Islam on the other hand teaches that no color, race, tribe, or lineage is better than any other. Islam teaches that all humans are equal in the sight of Allah and that the only thing that can distinguish them in His sight is their piety and worship.
“O humankind! Verily! We have created you from a male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. Verily! the noblest among you in the sight of Allah is the most God-fearing. Verily! Allah is The Knower, The Aware.” The noble Qur’an, Al-Hujrat(49):13.

Great Job Debbie!! You could be a great interrogator. It seems there wasn’t anything he said that took you by utter surprise. You were very clued in on his responses. I do think he was being evasive about the allegations about the abuse part. He tried to answer your question with questions. You finally just asked if you laid a finger on her. Then he just outright said no. However, he seemed at ease during the interview. He still wanted to stay loyal to the corrupt players in Detroit politics.
You wrote “he offered me an interview with Farrakhan (which I probably won’t do).” Debbie I seriously cant see you doing an interview with Farra-CON. In one sense it would be great to see Farra-CON taking on real questions for once in his life. However just seeing him give that disgusting smile during his interview would probably make you puke.

Great interview Debbie, but one kind-of-obvious question went unasked toward the end: “How will the Nation of Islam, with its extensive network of members (read: Convicted Felons) residing within the confines of many dozens of United States’ Penitentiaries, help you to transition from the life of a crooked Detroit mover-shaker-money-grubber to that of a convict who will likely serve only half of a five year sentence? Do you think it’s possible that Farrakhan has given orders to have an extensive welcoming committee see to it that you are inducted properly into their incarcerated brotherhood of criminal, White-hating and Jew-hating racists, to make your stay at the Greybar Hotel more comfortable, all-around cosseting and far less dangerous by ‘being with someone’?”

That would have been a good question, Debbie. Good job overall, though. Can’t understand why only you ask (some)hard questions while the other Women of Color (coincidence?) on Detroit Channels 7 (ABC/WXYZ) and 4 (NBC/WDIV)– not to mention people of any sex, color or religion on the national networks — couldn’t at least try to contact Jackson for a rebuttal, however brief. Who among you believes Fanchon’s Fantastic Fables or even less of what Rayford Jackson says about Fanchon’s visible scars (His evasive replies made me think: “Haven’t they faded by now? Wasn’t that in 2005? I was drunk; I don’t recall”). Whatever. The term, “Detroit Journalists” seems to largely be an oxymoron where the Synagro case and the Tamara Green case are concerned. Scott Lewis at Fox 2 News, do your job, would you? Expose corruption; isn’t that why they pay you the big money? What could you possibly be afraid of? Oh, right. Never mind. Carry on with Grandma and the crooked roofers. Give your former co-worker a pass.

Debbie, I would also have liked to hear Jackson comment on the comment made by Sam Riddle (who is standing trial for allegedly hand-delivering a bribe in the Synagro case to former Detroit Councilwoman Monica Conyers): “Fanchon Stinger knew what she was doing from the moment she left her white husband to deal with a black man who turned her out because she wasn’t used to nothing black.”

California Screaming: Right on about the makes-me-want-to-puke fake smile that Louis Eugene Walcott from The Bronx, oops, I mean THE GREAT Louis Farrakhan, pastes on while he spews his delusional fantasies about Judaism being “a gutter religion.” (see Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Farrakhan for attribution; I am not Jewish, for the record — so I have no drums to beat about Israel or Jews. I will leave the drum-beating to Farrakhan and his followers.)

And to “learningquranonline,” the Mohammedan poster who has so graciously educated us about his/her “peaceful” religion, so well-evidenced in 2004-2006 across Iraq: You forgot to include the tiny little passage in the Q’uran that commands Wahabbi Mohammedans to kill all infidels (Translation: Anyone who does not agree with you) in the name of Allah. Whoops. As a card-carrying Muslim, could you please also edify us about how you and other devout Muslims have implicitly approved Fanchon Stinger’s adulterous affair with Jackson, a married man who has four children (hopefully all with one woman, and to whom he is currently married, to avoid the “INFIDEL” stain); YET — YET — claims to be closely associated with that paragon of Mohammedan virtue, Louis Farrakhan? That sounds very suspiciously like an infidel to me, and we all know that a good Muslim like Farrakhan would be prohibited from having an infidel in his “house.” Or two of them, since my understanding is that Jackson and Stinger were reportedly both married to other people when they began their implicitly Nation-of-Islam-approved “relationship.” What should be done about them and their adulterous behaviors, since this never came up in the interview as an obvious conundrum? Stone them? Put their eyes out? Castration? Hands cut off? Oops, not the peaceful religion of Mohammedanism, er, Islam. We across the entire globe know that Muslims NEVER do that to adulterers. Instead, for penance, I propose scheduling a fawning interview between an Infidel Adultress and Farrakhan, to tie up Channel 2 for a half-hour of his brand of grinning, teeth-flashing, snarling hate. Sound good? Everyone wins. Very pragmatic. Oh, you did that? Great, never mind.

But do, “learningquranonline,” please do, rebut this post and present your tortured logic, outlining how all of that is perfectly fine in the eyes of Allah, for everyone’s entertainment and further edification, thanks. Inquiring minds worldwide want to know, and could all use a good belly laugh.

Jackson comes across as not such a bad dude–even eating at Jeruslaem Pizza. I wonder what the real truth is on all the charges of abuse–and how much more he knows about all the corruption in the city of Detroit?? You asked him–but I wonder how much was being spun and/or held back.

I am so glad that i am from Texas and that I am moving back there soon because this state is stupid.People are biased in some ways and instead of you focusing on job loss here you focus on people of Islam. Who cares no one has a job and people are getting poor everyday. Just two more weeks and I will be out of here. Also, it seems as though you like most political leaders here lack common sense.
